Hi!  I'd really appreciate some feedback on my store please - www.midlifemotorcycle.com  

I am generating some decent traffic into the site, but I'm not seeing any activity in the cart at all.  I believe I have a niche that is worthwhile pursuing, the designs are improving all the time, the pricing is competitive, the images are good, and there is a clear call to action but still I don't see anyone adding anything to the cart, and no conversions at all.

I'd appreciate some fresh eyes giving me some feedback, and some tips to improve the number of people adding to the cart.

I just reviewed your website its amazing. I have noticed a few things that you might consider taking to make your store better.

Logo: For Brand identity, you need a proper logo to represent your business as its missing on your website. It's a basic or important foundation for branding your business.

Front Images: Use good quality featured banner images with call to action button to captivate user attention.

Homepage: Homepage designs guides your visitors around your website. To engage visitors you need to work on homepage layout design. Include trust indicators on the homepage. Homepage content should be strategically decided. You can add ‘Call to action banner’ ‘New arrivals’, ‘Top selling products etc. on the homepage to engage users.

Trust Signals: Show off trust signals and customer testimonials to boost conversion. Customer testimonials and trust Signals build customer's trust and help customers to feel more secure in their buying decision.

Social Media Plugins: Integrating more social plugins on your website to increase traffic. Social media make your business visible and it expands conversion. Its a great way to connect with your new and existing users.

You need to work on your website performance’s speed. Low mobile page speed may kill your traffic and affect your conversion.

In order to Improve website speed we need to:
- Remove unnecessary code on a high priority basis.
- Compressed images or Defer off-screen images.
- Web Pages need to be Minified.
- Reduce JavaScript execution time
- Minimize main-thread work
- Beware of excessive liquid loops
- Decrease thumbnail image size
- Weigh the benefits of installing another app

Awesome Shopify store! And you're right you are very niche so don't give up! 

  • I would focus on ensuring your product photography is on more of your website pages and really build out the brand - that would allow you to show your customers using the shirts and wearing them out in public. Even if you set up a campaign or get some friends to model 
  • Optimize your product pages by adding banners that highlight promo codes or any special discounts, customer reviews or information about the product, directly on the product pages. This will help guide your customers through education on your products.   • I would AB test your audience and run different campaigns on different channels
  • Add a blog as it is a great way to boost your SEO and organic traffic and showcase your brand and style.

I just took a look at your store. It is well designed and works well on mobile. 

Issues with conversions have more to do with your marketing strategies, pricing, and your understanding of your target audience. I will suggest spending more energy in these areas, but here is some general feedback on how you can improve your store experience.

Having a Quickview/Quickshop option on your collection page will make it easier for your customers to view more of your products. When they are able to easily preview and read the product details without going to the product page, they are more likely to view more products and which in turn can increase their chances of making a purchase.

Most themes already have a quickview/quickshop option, you can check for this on your theme customizer and enable it.

Also, you can get the quickview/quickshop option for free when you install the Collections filter & Search bar by Sobooster app.

So I have just gone through your website and here are some of my thoughts about the homepage. First of all, you're right, your niche is worth pursuing and the product images are beautifully done. You’ve put in some hard work and it shows. 

However, with that being said, I would like to give you some suggestions for improvement. Hope you find it valuable

 

  • Add a professional brand logo: I found out on your Facebook page that you’re having a professional logo for your brand, so I suggest you put on that logo on the top left, instead of the text name you’re using right now. It will have a massive impact on your brand awareness and your customers’ trust on your brand and products. 
  • Add a navigation bar and a sticky banner: After replace the text name by the logo. I suggest you add a navigation bar in the space. It will give a clear guide which helps customers navigate to other pages of your website easier. And a sticky banner helps customers to reach out to the menu and access the navigation bar anytime they want. 
  • Having a hero banner: When your customers arrive at your page, a good hero banner will give them the first impression of who you are, what you’re selling and what messages you’re trying to deliver. Since you already have pretty good media content under your belt, I think a hero banner will be a tremendous help. Also, in my experience, adding a CTA button on the hero banner can significantly increase the conversion rate. You can check out this guide to learn how to Personalize your Homepage.

  • Optimize the Feature products: Researches have shown that by present at least 40% of the product types can sufficiently increase your conversion rate. However,in your case, the featured products section is a little too much. This not only makes your homepage unnecessarily long but also limits the customer’s ability and interest to navigate to other pages. I suggest you present your product in form of a list such as Best seller | Bike designers | Music designers. 
  • Add testimonials: This is a great way to build trust and earn loyal customers for your brand. It also helps to increase the conversion rate dramatically. There are many good apps to add review widgets with photos gallery such as Loox or Yotpo since both of them have integrate with PageFly.   • Add a section about your brand story: This also helps to build trust and brand awareness to your audience, especially when your customers find your story relatable and inspiring. And design-wise, this section make your page more attractive and professional.
  • And last but not least, Change your font: I suggest choosing sans-serif font style since it is easier to read in digital mediums, while a serif font choice is better for reading text at small sizes in printed copy (like books or newspapers).
