Hi @Lyrictees

I really love your store, it’s got a cool vibe going with those lyric-inspired tees, love the concept! The layout is clean and simple, which is great! And here are some my recommendations:

  • The navigation menu is well-organized, categorizing products by genres such as Rock & Pop, Rap/Hip Hop, Country, and Reggae. This structure helps customers find products that match their musical interests. Additionally, the inclusion of 'Men's,' 'Women's,' and 'Kids/Youth' categories caters to different demographics. Consider adding a 'Best Sellers' or 'New Arrivals' section to highlight popular or recent products, guiding customers to trending items.
  • Product layout: Each product is presented with clear images and pricing, which is essential for online shopping. However, providing multiple images per product, including close-ups and different angles, can give customers a better understanding of the product. Detailed product descriptions that include fabric information, sizing guides, and care instructions can also enhance the shopping experience and reduce potential purchase hesitations.
  • Your content: The 'About Us' section effectively conveys your passion for music and your commitment to quality, mentioning that most shirts are made in the USA and that a portion of profits supports charitable organizations. This transparency can build trust with customers. To further engage visitors, consider adding a blog or news section discussing music trends, featured lyrics, or stories behind the designs. This not only adds value but also improves SEO, potentially attracting more traffic.
  • Also, you might consider adding social proof and focus on loading speed as well as mobile responsiveness.

Hi @Lyrictees I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty, the essential Shopify loyalty program app.

Hi there, after browsing through Lyric-Tees, I can see that your store has a strong thematic focus on music-inspired apparel, which is great for targeting passionate fans. However, there are some areas where the layout, navigation, and product presentation could be improved to create a smoother shopping experience and help your brand stand out in the competitive POD (Print-on-Demand) market.

1. First impression & Hero banner – Too vague and overwhelming
When I landed on your homepage, the first thing I saw was the hero banner with a musical-themed guitar graphic and your logo in the center. While it reinforces the music theme, it doesn’t immediately communicate what you are selling. The banner takes up too much space and pushes your actual products down the page.

How to improve:
- Replace the current hero banner with something more product-focused. A high-quality image of your best-selling shirts (maybe worn by models) would help visitors instantly understand what you offer.
- Add a strong tagline or call-to-action on the banner, like “Wear Your Favorite Lyrics – Explore Our Collection”.

2. Homepage content – Too much text, not enough visuals
Scrolling down, I noticed a large block of text explaining your brand and mission. While the message is nice, online shoppers generally don’t like to read a lot upfront—they want to see the products. Right now, there’s a disconnect between your brand story and how your products visually represent it.

How to improve:
- Keep your text minimal—use short, punchy phrases that guide users toward shopping.
- Let your products speak for themselves—use visually appealing product photography instead of a long text introduction.

3. Navigation & Menu bar – Needs refinement
Your navbar (black menu at the top) is functional but could be optimized. The categories (Men’s, Women’s, Rock & Pop, etc.) are clear, but the design feels too basic and could be improved for better usability.

How to improve:
- Highlight the active category when users hover over it, so they know where they are.
- Consider adding dropdown menus under Men’s/Women’s to include “Best Sellers” or “New Arrivals.”
- Add a small shopping cart icon with a counter next to the menu, making checkout more accessible.

4. Product grid – needs more appeal
Right now, your product display feels repetitive—rows of shirts with just text printed on them. While the concept of lyric-based shirts is great, it might be too niche and require stronger storytelling to engage visitors.

How to improve:
- Instead of just showing product images in rows, try mixing in lifestyle shots—shirts worn by real people.
- Feature “Best Sellers” or “Fan Favorites” to create a sense of urgency and credibility.
- Add hover effects—when users move their mouse over a product, it should show another angle of the shirt or a zoomed-in texture.

5. Product Page – Cluttered layout & Out-of-stock issue
Your product pages have a basic layout that doesn’t feel polished. One major issue: out-of-stock products are still fully visible, which can frustrate customers.

How to improve:
- If a product is out of stock, either hide it from the store or gray it out with a “Restock Soon” button.
- Rework the text formatting—the product description is currently too long and doesn’t highlight the main selling points upfront.
- Use a larger “Add to Cart” button in a contrasting color so it stands out.

Lyric-Tees.com has a strong foundation with a clear theme, but refining the layout, navigation,... will make it more engaging and conversion-friendly. Simplifying the homepage, improving product displays, and enhancing the shopping experience will help set your brand apart in the competitive POD space.

Keep refining, experimenting, and finding creative ways to make your store stand out. Wishing you success in growing your brand. Good luck!

Cheers,

Tracy

Hi @Lyrictees

Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community! I'm Donna from MooseDesk , your go-to Live Chat, WhatsApp and FAQ App here to help you enhance your customer support experience

I love your store! I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building this. Here are some of my recommendations for better customer experience, please kindly check 😍

1. Shipping and Return Policy Visibility

  • The product page lacks direct information on shipping costs, estimated delivery times, and return policies.
  • Adding a dedicated section or quick pop-up about these policies can prevent users from abandoning their carts.

2.  Social Media Sharing Features

  • Although the page includes sharing buttons (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest), they are not prominently displayed or might not function correctly.
  • These buttons should be more visible and tested to ensure they work as expected.

    3. Enhance your product filter search

A more intuitive filter search makes it easier for customers to find exactly what they're looking for, thus reducing frustration. When customers can easily find products that match their specific criteria, they're more likely to make a purchase

Besides availability and pricing, you can consider adding some other elements, such as size, materials, style, etc.

Take a look at this example:

4. Add a Live chat Support

I can see that your website lacks a help widget and live chat feature to allow customers to contact you immediately. How about having a powerful live chat to assist potential customers instantly, addressing their questions or concerns in real time? This can help prevent abandonment and encourage purchases

I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a FREE Live Chat, WhatsApp & FAQ App. You can easily reach customer support via WhatsApp, ensuring immediate assistance for inquiries. Also, the widget provides multi self-Service options such as Order tracking, Translation and FAQ section empower customers to resolve common questions on their own, reducing the need for direct support.

5. Add FAQ Page

Additionally, you could consider adding an FAQ - These are essential for helping customers quickly find answers or reach out for support, which can significantly enhance their shopping experience.

For an easy solution, I recommend trying MooseDesk App. It provides free, professionally designed FAQ and Contact Us templates with a simple one-click setup that is perfect for elevating your store effortlessly!
