I Need Some Feedback On My Store

Hi Guys,

I recently launched the first version of my store, it's very basic at the moment and I still have a lot of stuff I need to add (including policies lol); however, I have made a few sales, mainly through organic/free marketing on social media. I have just launched my google ads campaign a few days ago, I made a sale on the first day and since then I've received nothing. I've had several 100 people click on my ad, visit my store and begin the process of my funnel; however, they all and when I mean all, every single person who visits my website makes it to this stage and then leaves. My funnel is pretty much, visit website > select a product > customise product > Add to cart > Purchase, the stage at which everyone leaves is during the customisation process. I have come up with several reasons as to why they're leaving, but since I cannot actually see what they're doing it's all assumptions at this point. Some I the reasons I thought people aren't buying is because:

- The price (However my price is relatively average compared to competitors)

- Taking too long to load

- Too hard to use

- Not working properly

- Not what they're looking for

- Not ready to buy/comparing options

- Not a buyer, just someone browsing the internet


I would really appreciate some feedback, I've tried contacting customers as they browse the website and use the tool but 99% of them do not reply. You can find my product page at to get to the customizer just click on a random case model and it will take you to the tool. I am very open minded and would really love your opinion, feedback and some constructive criticism.

Hi @mharr99, I guess the issue is the price of the item, $50 for customize case is little expensive!

I went through your website and tried to customize one in your store.

1. The point is that I don't have any ideas in my mind to create a customized phone case. Why don't you show some fantastic samples, your customer feedback?

Your home page is important. You should show the best designs, hot stickers, trending memes,...

In your field, design and catching the tendency is the main factor to win.

2. And you can consider your price. Finding some way to reduce it.

3. Side things:

  • One thing I noticed while on your website, was that you have Powered by Shopify in your footer. While we love the advertising, here is how you can remove that:

Step 1. Navigate to your Online Store > Themes section of your admin.

Step 2. In the Action drop-down menu next to your current theme, select Edit Languages.

Step 3. In the Search Translations bar next to Filter please type in "power".

Step 4. Under Powered by Shopify, in the text bar, just put in a single space. This will erase the Powered by Shopify. In the top right corner, select Save.

  • Your store is lacking a favicon (an icon next to your web address tab), which might undermine customers' trust in your brand and products

We appreciate the feedback 🙂 The price is relatively average compared to other brands we consider competitors, the product is a premium quality product manufactured with the best equipment available, there are also a lot of other reasons why we've priced it as an "expensive case". We do try to convince first time buyers to buy with a 20% discount; however, they don't seem to be interested, even the people who've added the product to their cart, they don't opt for the discount which is very visible.

I really appreciate the feedback. I'll implement the majority of those points tonight, as for point 1, do you think a quick high quality 15 second video of people with different custom phone case designs would work? Where would you put the video?

if you segment in a high price for your product, you should show the difference with other low price cases.

You should make a review video to compare them or an article about that. On other hand, you can show comparing images.

@hori_tran I don't really want to compare to other brands, but I do show the benefits/reasons why it's a better product without actually mentioning other brands/products on the market. I am also having videos produced which are a drop test video, manufacturing the product video, using the customizer tool, and possibly an unboxing video.

Some people believe that popups can be pesky, driving customers away. This might be true for those who are using them incorrectly. But when done in the right way at the right time, popups can lead to the conversion of 40%  of your store’s visitors into customers. All you need is the right Shopify app to increase sales.




Tip 3: Using affiliate marketing

My recommendation is that you should think about another safer and suitable methods for your business. Affiliate marketing could be a good option for your.  Affiliate marketing is a marketing model which allows you to connect with various affiliates, and then they will use their advertising sources such as social media channels, websites, blogs, etc, to promote your products. You only need to pay affiliate commission whenever a customer makes a purchase via the unique link or coupon associated with their recommendation.

You can add the affiliate registration form on the shop menu, so any visitors who visit your site can easily approach your affiliate campaign.

Page UI design 

First of all, I need the pop-up form and some sections below from your page need to be improved in the UI design. Please have the clear Heading, Text, and Call to action button in EACH of them. This impressively triggers the customer's willingness to interact with your page.


I recommend you never leaving a section with NO call to action button. This drives customers to nowhere and makes them bounce from your store.


Especially, with the Product details section, the buttons such as Buy Now or Add to cart should never be missing or unclear. You should place them in the most noticeable spot, with big size.



Create 'Why us' and 'FAQ' page

To keep the Product page not too long, which makes the customer feel hard to decide the 'Buy' action, you should separate the rest of your page into new pages and put them in the navigation menu. This way, customers can still find the information they need whenever they want to.



Add Cross-sell section

It is necessary that on the Product page, you include the 'People also buy' or 'Recommended for you' section. You can show products based on customers' preferences or suggest them to buy other products just like your previous customers. Eventually, you can increase the average order value.
