Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello All!
The title of the post says it all, i've managed to get 5K page views on our site, but i've gotten 0 sales.
At this point I have no idea why and that's why i'm turning to you guys hoping to get some direction to see what i'm doing wrong.
Our site is www.sera3d.com
I thought it was a good url cause its short but that hasn't helped us get a sale
We are a Sustainable Home Goods Store that sells Office Accessories as well as indoor gardening accessories like planters and vases. All of our products are plant based and made from renewable plastics being environmentally friendly.
Can one of you please take a look at the site and tell me what I'm doing wrong? www.sera3d.com
I've tried using advertising on instagram and tiktok and google to no avail. I'm really curious to see what i'm doing wrong so please let me have it lol
Tell me everything you think is wrong with the site and why you think i'm not getting any sales.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your time,
AJ P
First of all, your website looks nice and clean, with appealing products and clear CTAs. Could you explain how you're advertising your website? One reason you may be getting a lot of traffic but not converting it into sales could be that you're not targeting the right audience in your advertisements.
First submit a test order on mobile and desktop.
It's common to find issues such as ship zones not configured or payments not set up. We want to make sure this is not the case before continuing.
If the orders go through then your traffic is likely too broad.
For example if your running a traffic campaign on facebook, they will send you traffic but none of the traffic will buy.
Any ads you run, make sure the goal set up is sales/conversions. Any other type of goals will not convert into a sale.
Add variant images. When I change to the different colours, I can't see what they'll look like. Puts me off buying any variant which isn't the default colour.
Hi @sourceship13,
I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.
I'm delighted that you've reached out to the community, and I'm excited to offer my insights based on my experience. It's always great to see passionate business owners seeking ways to enhance their store's performance.
1. Homepage
- Make the menu bar sticky: A sticky navigation bar will help visitors easily access other parts of your site without scrolling back up.
- Rearrange product collections: Place the product collections before the "About Us" section to focus immediately on what you're selling. People visiting your site should quickly see what you offer.
- Add CTA buttons: Ensure there is a clear "Shop Now" or "Explore Our Products" call-to-action (CTA) button on the homepage, especially under each product. This helps guide visitors to make a purchase.
2. Product Listing Page
- Add filter options: Adding filters (e.g., price, category, color, or material) on the product listing page makes it easier for visitors to narrow down their choices and find what they need faster.
3. Product Detail Page
- Use a product image carousel: Organize your product images in a carousel format to make browsing easier and keep the page clean.
Add more lifestyle images: Consider using images that show your products in real-life environments (e.g., a vase in a living room). This helps potential buyers visualize the product in their own space.
- Display estimated delivery dates: Adding an estimated delivery date increases transparency and encourages customers to complete their purchases.
4. Footer
- Include a footer section: A strong footer is essential for providing links to important pages like FAQs, Contact Us, Shipping & Returns, and social media. It also boosts the credibility of your store.
5. Additional Suggestions:
- Highlight your sustainability: Make your environmentally friendly and renewable materials more prominent. Emphasize these benefits on your homepage or product pages to appeal to conscious consumers.
- Trust elements: Add trust badges (e.g., secure payments, free returns, etc.) and customer reviews to build confidence.
- Ad Campaign Optimization: Reevaluate your ad targeting. Since you're using Instagram, TikTok, and Google, make sure you're targeting the right audience. It might also be helpful to A/B test different creatives and ad copies.
I hope these suggestions will be helpful for you. Good luck!

Hello @sourceship13 ,
Please find my observations that may assist you with improving customer experience and in turn may lead to conversions also -
1. Page speed improvement - Optimizing this is crucial for enhanced customer experience. Your current mobile , as well as desktop speed is 48 and 60 respectively, which shows room for improvement.
2. Optimize home page with information pertaining to refunds, on top. As this will instill trust and clarity of the refund windows. This is a general mindset of a customer which they try to explore in case of any new website they land on to and would like to take a informative decision prior to making an actual purchase.
I hope these recommendations will help you.
Regards,
Sanjay Sarkar

These are some proven things that will help:
1) Don't show the email popup right away. It doesn't give people a chance to get to know you before you ask them to give you something. Also search engines may penalize popups that show to fast
2) Get a professionally designed logo. If you're not sure what you want, I recommend 48 Hours Logo, where you can host a design contest at a good price.
3) Only publish real product reviews from your customer. It's easy to spot fakes. Long term honesty and building a legit brand will bring more success.
4) It seems like almost everything is on sale. Is there an actual sale, or is that just a tactic to try and fake people into thinking it's a temporary deal? This one goes with number 3, I found being honest with your customers and being a trustworthy brand to be quite successful (I owned a few Shopify stores, 1 for 7 years).
5) Start a referral program, this is an excellent, guaranteed positive ROI way to get traffic and sales. Being in an eco friendly niche gives you an advantage, you can reach out to blogs, youtube channels, etc that promote eco friendly living.

Hey there @sourceship13 I’d like to first say that your store design is pretty good as it is and the product images are all pretty clear and good. To add some variety to the presentation, I’d suggest maybe displaying a few more colors in the product pages looks like just 2/3 major ones were used, then maybe consider adding gifs of the lamps being put on and stuff like that.
