Feedback for your online store from the community
Greetings, everyone!
At this juncture, I am quite stumped at what to improve or add to my Shopify store. To my home page, product page, etc. I am truly curious about what else I can improve on. It would truly be an honor for me to know the opinions of my fellow entrepreneurs. I would like to know your suggestions on what to implement, design, SEO, perhaps something I am not even aware of. I am truly open to all sorts of criticism as I know this will just refine me.
Bring it on, Shopify Community! Thank you so much!

Hi @Épris
The first impression is good, a sold homepage. Even if it is a free theme you customize it a bit. But one issue I notice straight away. Where is your menu? Maybe you think you do not need it but it is crucial to help customers navigate your site. Something I always check on stores are contact details, you just have a trade name and Gmail email which is not good. If you are a business I expect some more details like address and phone, this does not add to credibility. And try to set up email on your domain, and not use Gmail. And speaking of domains it is nice and short but still, it is a lesser domain than .com. But not much you can do now about that. Another general thing, is that e for a favicon, I did not find much connections with your logo
For homepage:
For collections, you can make even more of them, for example, it can be for him, for her, dogs, cats, humans, then by occasions if that applies.
On the product page, you do need more sections. Saw you have an ordering process on some products as an image. That should be a section just below the main section. And this can be on the homepage too, similar to covering different kinds of products. That is the main feature of your products and should be repeated throughout the site. I think that the free theme did not make "Add to cart" important. Shop pay one looks 5 times noticeable so try to make it full color at least. You could use a review system, and some social proof, like customers' photos/reviews, that could look good on both the product and home page. For some products think of adding some bundles maybe with a discount. Noticed that some products could use some info on dimensions.
Good luck with the sales.
Wow! I've just been able to read this just recently. Thank you so much for showing true interest in your criticism. This is truly something I will implement as soon as possible. I am truly grateful!
Hi @Épris
Hi @Épris! I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.
After visiting your website, I can see that it is very well-designed with a calm and inviting feeling. I see that you've poured a lot of effort into building it. I do notice there are some parts that can be improved, to enhance this store's UI/UX. Based on my experience, I have some small suggestions for you:
1. Add dropdown menus for collections
- Observation: The menu bar is minimalist but lacks critical navigation features, such as showcasing product collections or categories. The current options ("Home" and "Shop") provide limited guidance, making it harder for users to explore the variety of offerings.
- Suggestion: Include clear dropdowns under the "Shop" option with category-specific collections, e.g.:
+ "Shop by Category": Accessories, Phone Cases, Apparel, Collectibles, Stickers & Magnets.
+ "Shop by Theme": Pet Lovers, Couples, Families, Personalized Gifts.
+ "Gift Ideas": For Dog Moms, Anniversary Gifts, Holiday Specials.
This hierarchy helps users quickly navigate and find products that interest them.
2. Add sticky navigation
- Observation: When users visit your homepage and scroll down, the menu navigation is completely missing. This may cause difficulties for users if they want to explore more.
- Suggestion: Make the navigation bar sticky, so users can access it while scrolling. You can visit other major websites to see how they freeze the navigation bar.
3. Hero banner improvement
- Observation: The hero section is visually appealing but does not effectively guide the user’s journey.
- Suggestion: You can use a carousel showcasing 2-3 slides at the same time, highlighting:
+ Popular collections (e.g., "Personalized Pet Gifts").
+ Promotions (e.g., "Holiday Sale – 20% Off All Accessories!").
+ Unique selling points (e.g., "Handmade, Artist-Drawn Products").
This creates more opportunities to capture user interest.
4. Add social proof
- Observation: I notice that your store is completely missing the customer reviews section. Adding customer reviews is one of the ultimate ways to build trust and encourage conversions.
- Suggestion:
+ Include reviews on product pages: Enable reviews for individual products so customers can see feedback directly on the product they're considering. Add a "Write a Review" button to encourage users to leave their feedback.
+ Encourage review submissions: Offer an incentive, like a discount code or small gift, for leaving a review, for example: "Leave a review and get 10% off your next purchase!"
+ Add a dedicated reviews section: Create a "What Our Customers Say" or "Happy Customers" section on the homepage. You can feature 3-5 highlighted reviews with customer names and photos (if available) for authenticity.
+ Install third-party Review apps: There are many apps that integrate seamlessly with Shopify and provide automated features for review collection and display, such as Judge.me, Fera, LAI Reviews. You can consider to use one of this app for your store.
5. Explore section content improvement
- Observation: The "Seek, and you will find" section has a vague description, and not action-oriented enough for users to click the CTA button.
- Suggestion: Replace it with a clearer benefit-driven message like "Find the Perfect Gift Today!" with a bold, contrasting "Explore Now" button.
I hope that these suggestions are helpful for you. Good luck!

Hello @Épris here are a few suggestions on how the store could be improved.
1) Firstly, for easier navigation, I recommend having a sticky header so the search button can be easily accessible while customers are scrolling through the page.
2) It would be nice to have a section for the newest products just like the one you have for the customers favorites.
3) Having customer reviews on your store is proven to make other customers want to buy from your store as well. So I would suggest having atleast 2/3 customer reviews along with images of the people to give your store that sense of credibility it needs.
I hope you find these helpful and I wish you the best of luck!
