Looking for feedback

Hi all,

I was hoping to get some feedback, advice, or suggestions on my shopify store. Here is the link: www.christmastreesinthemail.com

I sell christmas trees online and my busy season is approaching. My family has been in the christmas tree business for 40 years, but we are not experts on building websites. The website gets the job done and we sell many trees, but i strongly feel like i could make some improvements. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated whether its a new app or design change etc.

Thanks for your message, I would be happy to provide you with some feedback for your shop. I really enjoyed checking out your shop and I am happy to hear that your sales have been going well, I do have a couple of suggestions for your store, which all stem on your homepage. I like the overall set-up of your menu system and how it breaks down the different areas of your shop, however, your homepage seems a little busy with content. For example, you start with some product examples, then move onto reviews then your shop by category section, then a large photo slideshow:

I do really like this photo slideshow, it gives your customers some interesting photos of your trees during the season, however, this may be better suited in your About us section. I recommend checking out this fantastic homepage design article. It touches on what to include in your homepage and some great examples of homepages you can model yours after for inspiration.

It also looks like some of your product photos are not the same size:

we have a handy guide called Uploading Images, that walks through our resolution and aspect ratio recommendations when uploading digital media that I recommend checking out. For product photos specifically,  we typically recommend using 2048 x 2048 pixels for square product photos.

I don't know anything about trees but I think it would be nice if you had a picture of all the trees cut next to each other to clearly see the differences and photos of the trees cut alone not by other trees in the background because they  blend in. Everything else looks great!

Hope you are doing good. Your store looks nice and here are few suggestions.

Make a Sticky header for easy navigation. It helps customer to access menu at any time they want.

Add Shop Now(CTA) on the hero banner.

Include Blog page, Blog posting will allow you to show your followers a personal side of your business. In this way you can engage with Existing and New customers.

Make Social Links open on new tab.

You can promote your products with word of mouth strategy. Boost your sales with the app from the shopify app store   which helps to increase your sales.

There is no terms and conditions checkbox at checkout. I suggest you to install an app from shopify app store which provides 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' before checkout .As it makes easy for the customer to read your terms and policies.

You can also sell your products on Etsy marketplace as it is very good platform to sell unique, handmade and Vintage goods . If you are already selling on Etsy store consider our Etsy Integration app in the shopify app store. Etsy is a Huge marketplace for selling creative goods such as art & collectibles, crafts & supplies, jewellery &accessories and more,  if you have any unique/handmade/vintage goods in your store, you can give further exposure to your products.

Thank you very much for the feedback. That is excellent advice. 

I really like you're store as well. The product images are excellent and i love the feature when you hover over the image they change. My only advice would be to possibly move your about us page to the top of your page and also include more information about your business and some pictures. I was recently recommended an app called sho gun to build pages. I loved it and would recommend it to everybody.
