I’m getting lots of traffic to look at my site, but not as many buyers. Can you have a look and tell me what you all think?

Hi @WoolQueen,

t's PageFly - Best Page Builder App here and I'd like to share some of my initial thoughts when first browsing through your online store. I hope that my recommendations based on 6 years of providing solutions for more than 100.000 merchants can be beneficial to you in improving your store performance.

So I have just gone through your website and here are some of my thoughts about your pages. I would like to give you some suggestions for improvement. Hope you find it valuable

I. Home Page

  • Header: Your header and your logo is way too big, which is unnecessary since you want to keep your customers’ attention to your product, not just your logo. I suggest you reduce your logo, keep your navigation bar in one line with your logo, replace your search bar into a search button and add login icon beside the text “Sign in”
  • Add a navigation bar and a sticky banner: I suggest you add a navigation bar in the space. It will give a clear guide which helps customers navigate to other pages of your website easier. And a sticky banner helps customers to reach out to the menu and access the navigation bar anytime they want.
  • Hero baner: Your hero banner needs to be full width so when your customers arrive at your page, a good hero banner will give them the first impression of who you are, what you’re selling and what messages you’re trying to deliver. Plus you’re losing sales if you don’t add CTA buttons on your hero banner. Please take a look at this image of a good hero banner. You need to use better media which accentuate your products and in a context which they are in use.

  • Feature a Representative Sample of Products: Researches have shown that featuring a diverse sample of products directly on the homepage with at least half of the product catalog on the homepage, and at least 1 product for each product type can increase your Conversion rate tremendously. Besides always highlight core product and brand features on the Homepage
  • Add a section about your brand story: Instead of featuring all the information about the studio and your on the Homepage, you should create a separate Page called “ About us” and put a short introduction and a CTA on the Homepage. “About us” helps to build trust and brand awareness to your audience, especially when your customers find your story relatable and inspiring. And design-wise,I can see you have an “About us” page, and by adding this section with a noticeable CTA button on your homepage you will encourage the customer to explore more.
  • Have Direct Links to “Return Policy” and “Shipping Info” in the Footer: It’s important to keep in mind that, whether on desktop or mobile, the footer is still associated by a subgroup of users as “the place to go” to find information on the site’s return policy or shipping options. Having this information accessible from the footer will ensure that these users have a starting point from which to begin their hunt for the information, and will likely be able to find it faster.
  • Add testimonial - customer reviews: People love proof, they will buy products if they see many positive reviews. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos. You can use Loox or Yotpo app to review widgets with a photo gallery because both of them integrate with PageFly already. Moreover, you can check this guide to pick the best reviews app for your store!

II. Collection Page:

  • Invest in Bespoke Imagery and Design: Again, you need to prepare a better set of media for your products. Right now, I can see that your media is not the same size and it doesn’t help to represent your product noticeably. With clear, beautiful and most importantly consistent media, your page can look much more professional and your customer is more likely to check out your products and eventually, buy them.

III. Product page

  • Always Have at Least 3–5 Product Images for All Products: Always provide no fewer than 3–5 images for all products. For sites with vast product catalogs, focus more on providing sufficient images for the most important, most popular, and best-selling products.
  • ATC buttons: Ensure the “Add to Cart” button has unique styling that isn’t reused with other buttons and clearly distinguish it as the page’s primary button. If using a sticky “Add to Cart” button, surround it with sufficient white space.
  • Find more on How to personalize your product page with our article

=> What helps you to build your store more easily, especially what helps you to build all the options I comment on above is a page builder.

It would be a good choice for you to have professional sites that look incredible on mobile & desktop without any extra coding, and you will have lots more time focusing on marketing strategies, so you can consider checking PageFly with 24/7 support live chat.

Hey @WoolQueen.

Thanks for reaching out.

I appreciate that you have included your store URL as that is super helpful. You have a beautiful store and products, by the way! Looking into the store, I noticed that you do not have a call to action or announcement bar on your homepage. It is a great idea to include this on the homepage as the announcement bar can inform your customers about any free shipping or discounts that may be available. It can definitely encourage a purchase.

I wanted to mention adding your store policies to the footer of the store as this will help with business legitimacy from the customers perspective. You can create your policies by navigating to Settings > Legal. You can choose to create a template or you can create your own policy for your online business. I took a screenshot of my test store to show you the section I am referring to:

24-52-34046-31355

Additionally, you can add your featured collection or products to the homepage of the store. This will allow your new and returning customers to see what you store is all about just from the homepage. It can help build your customers curiosity and begin to browse the other products that are available.

Let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to help out.

Hello @WoolQueen

Hope you are doing good. Your store looks nice and here are few suggestions.

Organize header section and minimize the empty space on it.

Expand hero banner to a full width and add shop now(CTA) .

Add few products with ATC(add to cart) on the Homepage.

Add Testimonials or reviews on the homepage to build trust with the visitors.

There are no reviews on the products. Add customer reviews app so that customer can write a review on what they purchase from your store.

Include Blog page,  blog posting will allow you to show your followers a personal side of your business. In this way you can engage with Existing and New customers.

You can promote your products with word of mouth strategy. Boost your sales with the app from the shopify app store   which helps to increase your sales further. Improve your conversions by directly reaching those who close to your customers.

Add terms, shipping and other refund policies on the footer section.

There is no terms and conditions checkbox at checkout. I suggest you to install an app from shopify app store which provides 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' before checkout .As it makes easy for the customer to read your terms and policies.

You can also sell your products on Etsy marketplace as it is very good platform to sell unique, handmade and Vintage goods . If you are already selling on Etsy store consider our Etsy Integration app in the shopify app store. Etsy is a Huge marketplace, if you have any unique or Handmade product in your store, you can give further exposure to your products.

Thanks,

Hello @WoolQueen,

Hope you are well.

Your site had me hooked.

I understand how frustrating it can be to be doing everything right but still not getting your traffic converted to sales. Are your users bouncing back because they are not getting answers to product questions? Are they not finding the right product? A quiz-like feature that could guide the user to the right products would help. Are users abandoning their carts before check-out? An exit-intent campaign with personalized incentives (like free-shipping or discount coupons) can help reduce the number of abandoned carts. Improve customer engagement with always-on live-chat to help users and nudge them to finish the purchase.

You can choose from a multitude of apps on the Shopify store to address these issues individually. Or you can check out Relish AI for an all-in-one solution. Our conversational AI-powered chatbot/shopping assistant engages customers from the moment they land on your store, provide instant answers for products and brand FAQs, provide 24/7 automated customer support, reduce cart abandonment and support tickets by 30-50%.
