Re: Low Conversion Rate

Low Conversion Rate

I have been running ads on twitter for my store style4gents.com for about 2 months now however it has been having a terrible conversion rate of 0,3%. I have no idea why and the more I optimize the worse it gets.

If you look at my shop, is there anything that strikes you as obviously wrong, which would explain my extremely low conversion rate?

Thank you!

@m-n-a Ensure your Twitter ads target the right audience. Check that product descriptions are clear and appealing, and the website is user-friendly, professional, and mobile-optimized. Verify that the site loads quickly and includes trust signals like reviews and secure payment icons. Simplify the checkout process to reduce cart abandonment. Consulting a digital marketing expert can offer tailored advice.

Hi @m-n-a,

I'm Kate from PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder App.

Generally, I love your store’s design, it looks classic but professional. From my CRO expertise, I’d love to give you my suggestions as hereby:

1. Homepage

  • Have a sticky header

If your website visitors are looking for a particular product while browsing, what's the usual action they would take? They might have to scroll all the way up to the page's top to find the search bar, which can be a bit of an inconvenience. However, this issue can be addressed by introducing a sticky header, significantly improving the ease of navigation for your customers

PageFlyKate_0-1719820906623.png

Another thing you might care about is that the “Collections” does not have its “c” letter capitalized as other navigation buttons. Please check and fix this.

  • Increase the image variants

If the image variants are displayed in a bigger size, I bet it would be much easier for your customers to view another color of the product. That’s much better for the customer experience.

PageFlyKate_1-1719820934753.png

  • Add CTA button where it should be

A crucial element for an online store's homepage is the primary call-to-action button. This button serves as a direct link to the specific page where you want customers to take action, such as a collection or product page.

PageFlyKate_2-1719821004330.png

There should be a CTA button on the second block of content as I captured above. A CTA button here will urge visitors to make the purchase and it is a great way to optimize your home page.

And kindly rest assured that all CTA buttons should have the same styling to boost the conversion rate.

2. Product page

  • Invest in product media

Have a media list under the main photo of your product to make it easier for your visitors to explore the visual

PageFlyKate_3-1719821041387.png

You should give customers as close to an “in-store” experience with the product as possible.

  • Large multi-angle, detailed photos
  • Model wearing your clothes and state size of model for reference
  • Video of product in use

As long as your customers can get a full view of your product, the more willing they are to make a purchase.

  • Check bug in size variants

When hovering the size variant option, the text’s gone. I think you should check and fix it as soon as possibe.

PageFlyKate_4-1719821097636.png

  • Increase spacing among sections

This makes the content more readable

PageFlyKate_5-1719821125453.png

If possible, please bold the headings in the section above because if you style both heading and paragraph like this, the customer might not know which text they should pay attention to.

Besides, please answer these questions to make sure the ads on Twitter you are running are working well:

  • Target Audience Alignment: Are your Twitter ads reaching the right people? Double-check your targeting demographics and interests to ensure they align with your ideal Style4gents customer.
  • Compelling Ad Creative: Are your ads visually appealing and grabbing attention? Consider using high-quality product images or short video snippets to showcase your clothing.
  • Clear Call to Action: Do your ads tell viewers exactly what you want them to do (visit your store, browse a specific collection)? Clear CTAs like "Shop Now" or "Get 20% Off" can increase clicks.

And that's my feedback! Hope it helps you boost the conversion rate.

Cheers!

Hi @m-n-a ,

I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.

Your website doesn’t attract customers to buy products despite you running ads. I don’t see your ads so I can’t make detailed recommendations on your landing page. But here are some recommendations from “Databox”. You can check more in this article

“When CTR is high but the conversion rate is low that indicates a problem with the landing page, which is most commonly due to a lack of effective calls-to-action (CTA) on the page. The solution is to create a clear CTA like a “Buy Now” or “Read More” button. The CTA can be a clickable image overlaid with a small amount of text or a simple button.”

 1. Pay attention to your cart abandonment rate

Additionally, a high cart abandonment rate can be particularly frustrating for your business, especially when you’ve invested heavily in getting people to your site in the first place.

A high cart abandonment rate represents potential customers who chose not to become customers. This is also a reason causing low conversion rates.

  • You can remind your customers about the products left in their carts and encourage them to finalize their purchase by:
    • Email Reminders: Send emails to customers who abandon their carts, reminding them of their items.
    • Incentives: Offer a discount or free shipping to encourage them to complete their purchase.

2. Improving the speed and performance on Mobile

  • I checked your website performance on PageSpeed Insights - a Google tool that measures the website performance and found that scores on mobile, where a high number of the traffic is coming from, is around 4x - pretty low while the performance score on mobile should ideally be above 6x.

mageplazacs_0-1720003532170.png

  • For Shopify stores, the following are several factors that impact web performance
    • Store theme
    • The apps installed
    • Any additional third-party code you’ve manually added to your store, including tag managers and the tags within them
  • Here is some tips that you can use to improve your site performance:

Besides, here are my recommendations in the content and UX/UI of your website:

3. Add About Us page

An About Us page is a section on a website that provides information about a company, organization, or individual. It’s an opportunity to tell your brand’s story, share your vision, introduce team members, and outline your history, values, and achievements. This is where you build trust and credibility with customers.

Here is a reference:

4.Homepage

4.1.Banner

The banner is too general and doesn't catch attention. Also, the banner quality is not good and does not display full size on mobile.

You should enhance the banner quality and add seasonal banners for current promotions or collections (e.g., Summer Sale, Winter Collection).

You can see the difference between your banner and references

mageplazacs_4-1720003532368.png

4.2. Summer collection

  • You should highlight the discount label by adding the discount percentage such as 10%, 15%, etc to catch customer attention.
  • Adding a wish list or quick view option is another idea to attract customers stay longer on the site.

Here is a reference

mageplazacs_6-1720003532269.png

4.3. FAQs and chat box

You can add an FAQs page and chat box including general questions to address common customer concerns.

Here is a reference

mageplazacs_7-1720003532343.png

  1. Search features

You should enhance the search by making larger product images. Include collection search, etc.. functionality for better content discovery.

mageplazacs_8-1720003532267.png

Here is a reference:  larger images will catch the attention and enhance customer experience

mageplazacs_9-1720003532147.png

6 Social account

Does your store have Twitter,  FB, IG accounts? If yes, adding these to the footer will attract customers to follow your shop.

7. Adding more products

Currently, it seems that the product selection is quite limited. For example, there are only three polos and one pair of sunglasses available. This limited selection might not capture the interest of potential customers, reducing the chances of them making a purchase.

To enhance the shopping experience and attract more buyers, I would recommend expanding the range of products available on your site. Offering a wider variety of items can significantly increase customer engagement and drive more sales.

I hope some of my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback.

Good luck!

Hi there,

I'm from the Cartpinion customer team. I noticed while visiting your page that it's fairly easy for shoppers to abandon your cart. You have a wide variety of products and likely shoppers are adding to cart and seeking friend opinions. There's no pop-up reminder about items in cart, there's nothing that engages the user to convert using a journey they are already taking.

I'd invite you to try Cartpinion. Using Cartpinion you can remind customers about items in their cart, allow shoppers to share their cart and get feedback from their friends. Chances are you have a low conversion rate because your shoppers are sharing products and leaving your store. You'll want to make that shopping experience inclusive to your store. Keep them in your store while they get opinions.

Try it out! You should see a modest boost in conversions or cart to checkout traffic.

Hi @m-n-a  I can help you analyze your Shopify store and provide suggestions to improve your conversion rate. Analysis of Your Shopify Store (style4gents.com)

1. Homepage Design and User Experience:

  • The homepage should immediately convey your brand’s value proposition. Ensure it is visually appealing, with high-quality images and clear messaging.
  • Make sure your navigation menu is simple and intuitive, allowing users to find products easily.
  • A slow website can deter potential customers. Test your site’s speed and optimize it if necessary.

2. Product Pages:

  • Ensure product descriptions are detailed and highlight key features and benefits. Use bullet points for readability.
  • High-quality images and videos showcasing the product from multiple angles can enhance user experience.
  • Clearly display prices, discounts, and offers to entice customers.

3. Trust Elements:

  • Display authentic customer reviews and ratings to build trust.
  • Include security badges (e.g., SSL certificate) to assure customers their data is safe.
  • Clearly outline your return policy to reduce purchase anxiety.

4. Checkout Process:

  • Minimize the steps required to complete a purchase. Offer guest checkout options.
  • Provide multiple payment options to cater to different preferences.

Potential Issues and Solutions

  • Reevaluate your ad targeting. Ensure you are reaching the right audience interested in your products.
  • Test different ad creatives to see what resonates more with your audience. A/B testing can help identify the best performing ads.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics to analyze user behavior on your site. Identify where users drop off and optimize those areas.
  • Implement heatmaps to see where users are clicking and spending most of their time. This can provide insights into usability issues.

Coupon Discount on Cart App

  • Displaying available discounts directly on the cart page can encourage customers to complete their purchase.
  • Use limited-time offers to create a sense of urgency.
  • Automatically applying available coupons can simplify the checkout process and reduce friction.
  • Clearly showing potential savings can motivate customers to proceed with the purchase.
  • The app’s interface is designed to be user-friendly, making it easy for customers to apply discounts and complete their purchase.
  • Track the performance of different discount codes to understand what works best and optimize your strategy accordingly.

By addressing these areas, you should see an improvement in your conversion rate. The Coupon Discount on Cart app will improve the user experience and provide the necessary incentives to boost sales.
