Make product images a slider - Boundless theme

Hello everyone! 

Right now the boundless theme has a default setting that all pictures are below each other (mobile). This is very annoying and I would love if the images would be a slider aka a carousel. Just like the mobile version of the Brooklyn theme.

I do not really want to use an app for this because it slows down the website. I've heard about people doing this with some code adjustments.

Would any of you be able to help me out with this?
