Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi all, I have been working on this site for just about a year now and not with much success. I hired a company to run google ads and it cost me a lot with very little conversions. Over the past 90 days I had 5,200 sessions and 22 orders .42% conversion. That cost me over $5,000 in google ads. I have suspended my google ads for now and am getting zero sales. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated to turn this trend around;) appleblossomgiftbasket.com (PS I make my own products, this is not a dropship store)

1. Modify your navigation bar
To improve the user experience and make it easier for customers to navigate your site, consider simplifying your navigation bar by keeping only the essential navigation points. Streamline the menu to include key categories such as Homepage, Collections, Best Sellers, About Us, and Contact Us. This will help customers quickly find the most important sections of your website, enhancing their overall browsing experience and making it more likely they will find and purchase the products they are interested in.
2. Add testimonials section
Testimonials are an essential component of any successful Shopify store. It provides social proof, builds credibility, and influences potential customers' purchasing decisions. It can help your online store be more trustworthy.
Other
1. Cart Abandonment Strategy
Implement a cart abandonment email strategy to re-engage customers who leave without purchasing.
Consider exit-intent pop-ups offering a discount or free shipping to encourage users to complete the purchase.
2. Use A/B Testing
A/B testing is a powerful method to optimize your store for better conversion rates. It involves comparing two versions of a web page (or page element) to see which performs better. Here are some specific A/B testing ideas for your powersports parts store:
Homepage Layout:
Test two different layouts for your homepage. For instance, one layout could feature a large, prominent hero image with a clear call-to-action (CTA), while another might focus more on featured products or categories.
CTA Buttons:
Experiment with different CTA button designs on product pages. Test variations in color, size, text, and placement to see which generates more clicks and conversions.
Product Descriptions:
Try different formats for your product descriptions. One version could be concise and feature bullet points, while another might be more narrative and detailed. Measure which leads to more time spent on page and conversions.
Pricing Display:
Test how you display pricing. For example, you could compare a straightforward price display versus showing a discounted price from a higher original price (if applicable).
Checkout Process:
Simplify the checkout process in one version by reducing the number of steps or required fields. Compare this with your current checkout process to see if it reduces cart abandonment.
3. Edit your product description
Ensure your product descriptions are detailed, emphasizing the unique features and benefits of your gift baskets. Use bullet points for easy readability.
I hope you find these suggestions helpful in optimizing your website's conversion rate and sales. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. I wish you the best of luck with your online venture.

Hi @vcockerham2002
I just reviewed your site and I like your product and niche. So first site needs to be optimized and updated for a better conversion rate. We need to do deep analysis and do CRO. Also, google Ads need to be optimized, and we need to search for a best and cheapest keywords, so it's not just set google add and leave it. And it should be worked on organic traffic.
If you are interested we can jump on a Zoom call to discuss all details.
ok, I would be interested to hear what your thoughts are

Hi @vcockerham2002,
I just reviewed your store. Frankly, you don't need any optimization tips as much as acquisition tips. I understand that you already burned your hands with Google ads, but sadly you'll have to invest in ads at some point. It's very difficult to scale otherwise.
But here are a few things to ensure you're doing in a cost-effective way -
There are many more ways, but I think you should focus on these for the next quarter and prepare for the festive season.
All the best!
