Need feedback on my store, getting decent traffic but extremely low conversion.

Store: Any advice on turning store visitors into customers would be greatly appreciated! The issue might be in the product pages, but not sure. The most important product pages as of now are for the Reusable Match, Smart Watter Bottle, Pocket Tool, and Handheld Steel Wire Chainsaw.

Basically, your store has many good points:

  • Have a favicon to make your store look professional and unique
  • Have a sticky menu with a search icon: helps customers to reach out to the menu and access the menu anytime they want.

1. Home page

1.1 Make the clickable button

A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store.

With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, or a product page, etc. This really helps to increase the conversion rate for your store.

1.2 Add more products on the home page

You show the store's collections on the home page, this is a good point because customers will know more about which collections that your store provides. 

However, you should show more products from each collection so customers can take action when they see them on the home page. 

You can add a section for each collection to show featured products like my Chloe template

1.3 Add reviews/ testimonials

People love proof. When your customers visit your store and see many good reviews, they will be willing to shop! So you should add testimonials/product reviews to your store. They can be placed for the product or even a review collection on your home page. You can consult my Stellar template here about displaying testimonials

As usual, social media is one of the effective ways to get more traffic and make a good connection with your customers. By displaying social media such as Instagram (or Facebook, Twitter) and constantly updating the feed. 

I notice you mentioned your store's Instagram but it cannot be accessible, so you should add an Instagram feed so that customers can access it right away on the home page.

1.5 Add a newsletter/ signup form

This is an important factor for an online store to collect customers' emails so you can send them campaign information or any store updates.

You can put the form on the footer or near the bottom of the home page

2. Collection page

I take this page for example

2.1 Have secondary hover images for the product list

I recommend you should add a secondary hover image. By adding secondary hover images on each product image, customers can see a different image of each product, and this provides more information as a visual aspect for customers

- Add social media links in the footer.

- Give recommendations on the homepage, add a section of trending products and new products on the homepage.

- Add a review carousel on the homepage.

- Add a call to action button on the banner image of the homepage.

- To get more reviews you can send automatic review request emails and give loyalty points for better conversion.

Start using a loyalty program to entice your customers. It will help you build a loyal customer base. You can give loyalty points to your customers on activities like signing up, allowing for web push notifications, making a purchase, visiting a store, and many more.

This will help in doubling the sales as when you give loyalty points to your customers they will come again to your store to make a purchase in order to redeem those points. You can give rewards to your customers to redeem those points.

Setup web push notifications in your store and it will help you in reaching your customers and visitors directly.
