Feedback for your online store from the community
hello I'm looking for some advice on my store site Supremestore.biz which I opened about 8 days ago and have been working on the whole time the problem is I am alone in this and have a hard time keeping track of what I need to be doing first everything seems more important than the last I tried following the guides but that's not working either all I know is that this is a lot of effort and work I'm putting in and I want it to be worth it so I'm going to continue working everyday to make it the best but would be grateful if I could get some direction and maybe occasional advice and support? my idea for the store is an Walmart online I know I'm not the first person to think that's a good idea when its really not and if everyone tells me I'm wasting my time ill try building another probably branded store with a single and supportive products while I continue this store. I have had 110 customers no conversions am lacking analytics and marketing apps and am only translated to Spanish and French I think am currently manually doing Arabic which is exhaustive and I'm praying for a better way. all I know is I'm going to keep doing some positive things everyday for at least four hours a day until i get something right!
Hi Orlandoswear,
This is Amee from Gojiberry - Shopify Survey & Feedback App.
First of all good job building the store, it looks clean and professional. I can see that you are stressed and a few prioritization needs to be in place. Is your target market English-speaking? I would focus on one language at a time since doing marketing for multiple languages is time-consuming.
I took a look at your store and have a few suggestions that will help increase the conversion rate:
1. Testimonials. Showcasing a few testimonials on your home page -- whether from online customers or family/friends, helps promote more consumer trust and confidence.
2. Focus on marketing. Pick out a few key products and start building your social media presence with them. Take videos, showcase some of them, and try to build a following. You might want to split each of the marketing by category. Once you have some content, link the feed to your page for more social proof.
3. Call to action button. Add an add-to-cart button or any call-to-action button underneath each product.
4. Showcase category. Have another section on your home page that showcases all the categories you have.
Also if you have free shipping deals or other info, I would suggest that you put this on the top.
5. Ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) When you have some converting customers, ask them how they found out about your shop. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.
Hope this helps!

The Ultimate 12 Best Practices to Growing Your Shopify Store
Thank you so much for your honesty and detailed feedback on my store I really appreciate it. If allowed id like to follow up with you after I have instituted these recommendations, if you wouldn't mind being an open ear for me during my journey to start up. Hi @orlandoswear,
This is Kate from the PageFly Shopify Builder team. I understand that building a business on your own can be a significant challenge for anyone. It's often demanding, and I’m delighted to connect with you here in the Community.
As a CRO expert, I'd like to offer some suggestions to help you further optimize your store:
1. Get a more straightforward hero banner.
2. Maintain consistency with a single logo:
I've noticed that your main logo and favicon logo don’t match. It's essential to choose the one that is most relevant, aligns well with your brand identity, and is easy to remember.
3. Encourage Customer Reviews
I understand that your business is in its early stages, you could invite friends or family to try your products and leave reviews on your page, ideally accompanied by photos. Such firsthand feedback can be invaluable for new customers.
This approach is more effective and transparent than simply using a banner with a generic stock image of a person.
4. Implement clear policies
I've found that the policy sections on your site are currently empty. These details are crucial for online shoppers. You might consider using Shopify's templates as a reference for crafting your shipping and return policies.
The other sections are also vital as they help visitors determine whether your products are suitable for their needs.
5. Highlight the free shipping
Orlando, it's fantastic that you're offering free shipping! Rather than just mentioning this on the product page, consider featuring it prominently at the forefront, like in your announcement bar, or by creating a separate section for it.
Here are some recommended placement options for highlighting the free shipping offer:
6. Add some festive atmosphere to your store
With Christmas and New Year's Eve approaching, many of your products could be ideal for gift recommendations during these festivities. I recommend creating holiday-themed sections or special offers to capture the seasonal spirit. Here are some examples to inspire you:
You've come a long way, Orlando. It's impressive that you've reached the milestone of your first 100 visitors to the store. Now, the focus shifts to attracting more visitors and converting them into customers.
To stay organized and on top of tasks, consider using planner tools such as Remember the Milk, Evernote, or Notion. These can help you list out essential tasks and keep track of your progress.
I hope you find these tips beneficial. If you do, I'd appreciate a thumbs-up or marking this as a solution. Wishing you a pleasant and cozy day ahead, and all the best in your business endeavors.
Keep up the great work!
Cheers,
Kate | PageFly team

Hello, and congrats on starting your store, here is some feedback I hope is helpful to you:
- This is an opinion, but I would not click on a link just based on your domain name and I think this could be an issue for potential customers as well. Most consider .com .org .net to be the standard or the most "reputable". There are other options depending on your products it could be .shop .clothing or others.
-Do not waste a lot of time if you cannot understand something after giving it your best efforts then it is time to hire an expert. While keeping costs low is important for your business, time is money and if you have another source of income it may be better to focus on that and invest the earnings into building your store with the help of a team. My main point here is, some Shopify skills can be learned via Youtube and quick how to videos while others will require expert help. Apps are also a great resource that require very little technical knowledge they are even free for some!
-As a new store it's best to limit your product range, this will give your store a more focused appearance and will improve the overall performance. It can also help make ads more effective.
-The biggest thing is the overall design of your store needs to be improved to make your store stand out, then once you have optimized it I would recommend doing some advertising via social media along with a email marketing app like Klaviyo to keep customers engaged.
I hope those tips will be useful, don't hesitate to reach out for more help with your store!
