New store with around 300 views but just one add to cart and zero purchases

2 0 1

Hey, just recently opened up a new shopify store and started posting some content. My traffic is primarily through instagram and facebook right now, both organic and very small ad campaigns. I currently have around a total of 300+ views on my website, most of them from an instagram reel that did pretty well organically, but I have not had any conversions at all. I know my store is new, but I feel like with 300 views, my conversion rate should be higher than zero, so definitely something wrong with my page or my product offers. I just wanted to see if anyone can see what I'm doing wrong.

Hello @tomato1379

I'm Gasper from the HAPO Apps Team, and after reviewing your store, here are some suggestions to optimize it:

- Add a Favicon: A favicon is essential for distinguishing your store and enhancing brand recognition. You can use your logo or create a new favicon to improve brand identity.

- Display Limited-Time Discounts: Show a countdown timer for discounts to create a sense of urgency among customers, leveraging the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) to boost sales effectively

- Highlighted Products: For products highlighted on the homepage, provide basic information to guide customers to the product page quickly.

- Collect Customer Feedback Images: While your reviews are positive, consider requesting real customer images to increase credibility, especially for products like yours.

- About Us Page: Keep the About Us section brief, or turn it into a dedicated page with comprehensive information about your store, including who you are, what you sell, when your store was established, and what makes you unique.

- Social Media Feed: Given that most of your customers come from Instagram and Facebook, consider adding a social media feed to your homepage to attract more customers. It not only enhances the aesthetics of your store but also serves as an additional retail channel.

Implementing these suggestions can help optimize your store and attract more customers effectively.

Hi @tomato1379

I am Garcia from the Shopify Advanced Page Builder App PageFly. Your store looks great, but I have some feedback on your store. I'd like to offer you the following advice based on my experience as a CRO, and I hope it can raise your conversion rate.

I. General

1. Add favicon to your Store

Having a unique favicon is particularly helpful when users have numerous tabs open, as it helps your website to be easily distinguishable. This assists in building trust and recognition, both crucial elements for enhancing conversion rates. Incorporating your brand's logo as the favicon is an effective way to achieve this.

2. Make use of the holiday

Implementing these promotion ideas can help Cookware Corner's online store attract customers, boost sales, and make Mother's Day shopping a delightful experience for everyone involved. Here are some promotion ideas tailored for your online store to celebrate Mother's Day:

  • Mother's Day Gift Guide: Create a curated gift guide featuring top-rated cookware sets, kitchen gadgets, and accessories perfect for Mom. Highlight products suited for different cooking styles and preferences.
  • Discount Bundles: Offer special discounted bundles such as "Mom's Kitchen Essentials Bundle" or "Bake Like Mom Bundle" including a mix of cookware, bakeware, and utensils.
  • Personalized Gifts: Allow customers to personalize selected items with engraved messages or monograms, adding a thoughtful touch to their Mother's Day gifts.

II.  Homepage

1. Resize header and make it sticky

Sticky headers are advantageous as they offer uninterrupted access to the site's navigation menu, enhancing the overall user experience. This allows customers to smoothly move between different areas of the site from any position on the page.

2. Change the testimonial section in your Homepage

Currently, I saw that your testimonial section has no image and it has too much space. It cannot create trust for customers.

You can try like this:

Actively incorporating customer feedback and testimonials on your platform serves as a powerful tool to strengthen your brand's credibility and trustworthiness. By showcasing real-life experiences and endorsements from satisfied customers, you provide tangible evidence of your product's quality and effectiveness.

III. Product Page

1. Highlight ATC button

Emphasizing the "Add to Cart" button on a website can significantly enhance the user experience and potentially boost sales.

You can ensure the button stands out by using a color that contrasts with the website's color scheme. This makes the button easily noticeable at first glance. Also, adding a subtle animation or color change when the cursor hovers over the button can draw attention to it and encourage clicks.

2. Use variant swatches

Relying solely on descriptive text for colors can lead to misunderstandings or disappointment if the actual product doesn't match customer expectations, as words alone may not accurately convey the appearance.

To enhance conversion rates, consider transitioning from textual descriptions to color swatches.

You can see the example as above to see how to set that.

It's all about my suggestion. However, these ideas are just my point of view. For the best results, it's important to tailor these strategies to the specific audience and products of the store.

Warm regards,

Garcia | PageFly Team

Hi Garcia,

Thank you so much for your helpful advice! I have already started to implement some of the advice you have given. I really like your mother's day bundle sale as well, but I was curious the best way you would implement it? Would it be best to put it on my landing page, or put it on my pop up, or should I integrate it into the description of my creatives?

Hi @tomato1379

It's fantastic to hear that you've started implementing some of the advice! Regarding the Mother's Day bundle sale, I think it is better to add bundle sale on your Product Pages or landing page.
  • You can create a dedicated section on each product page, especially for items included in the Mother's Day bundle, highlighting the bundle deal. This section should be prominently placed to catch the shopper's eye—ideally, near the product description or the purchase options.
  • Or you can make the bundle sale a prominent feature on your landing page. This could be through a large banner or a dedicated section near the top of the page. The key is to catch the visitor's attention as soon as they arrive on your site.

Hope my suggestion can be your solution.
