No sales, is something hindering customers?

No sales, is something hindering customers?

I have built a poster store and it has taken me ages to get it the way it is. I had various teams on it for auditing, finetuning the code, changing menu etc...
I have started meta ads a week ago but so far no results. My campaign is rather small with 15 euro a day and various tests. On one 59 people clicked but made no actions.

So I wonder if there would be anything hindering people to buy? Http://www.imaginedprints.com is my store.

Thank you in advance 🙂

I think it's too early to be frustrated, wait a bit more. I would also suggest you to optimize your product pages, they don't have the ideal titles and link some of your products in your blogs.

Hi George!

What do you mean with this? ''they don't have the ideal titles"

Hey Annvdb!

Heddy from Gameball: Loyalty Program & VIP here!

It sounds like you've invested a lot of time and effort into your poster store, and it’s frustrating to see clicks without conversions. I took a look at your website, and I think there are a few areas you could focus on to potentially boost your sales.

First, consider the user experience. Make sure your website loads quickly and is easy to navigate. Sometimes a slow or cluttered site can deter potential customers. High-quality images of your posters are essential, as they need to showcase the details and appeal of your products.

Next, check your product descriptions. Are they engaging and informative? Customers want to know not just what they're buying, but also the story behind it. Including details about the artist, the inspiration for the design, or even tips on how to style the posters can make a difference.

Since you’re running Meta ads, consider refining your targeting. Make sure your audience is aligned with the type of posters you’re selling. It could be beneficial to create multiple ad sets with different audiences to see which performs better.

Also, don’t underestimate the power of social proof. Adding testimonials or reviews can help build trust and encourage visitors to make a purchase. You can incentivize customers to leave reviews or share their purchases on social media with a loyalty program, like Gameball, which helps engage your audience.

Lastly, think about running limited-time offers or discounts to create urgency. This can motivate potential buyers to act quickly rather than just browsing.

I hope these suggestions help you identify what might be hindering conversions. Let me know if you have any specific questions or need further assistance!

Hi @Annvdb ! It's Tracy here from BON Loyalty, the top-rated loyaty app on Shopify. I just visited your store, and everything looks fantastic! It's clear that you and your team have put a lot of effort into creating an attractive and inviting design. I really appreciate how you display multiple product images, it makes shopping feel accessible and enjoyable. If I were a customer browsing for items that match my taste, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from your store given the fair prices.

That being said, your store’s design is doing a great job, so it’s a bit puzzling why visitors aren’t converting into buyers. I have a few hypotheses that might explain this:

  1. Pricing Competitiveness: Ensure your prices are competitive, especially when compared to major players like Amazon, Temu, and other small sellers on Etsy. Sometimes even a small price difference can impact a buying decision.
  2. Ad Audience Pool: If the pool of visitors from your ads is too small, it may not yield enough conversions. Expanding your ad reach could help attract more potential buyers.

To dig deeper, I recommend using heatmap and screen recording tools, such as Hotjar or Clarity (this tool is totally free). These can provide insights into how visitors are interacting with your site, helping you spot any obstacles in the conversion process. With a team supporting you, implementing these tools should be manageable.

Additionally, I noticed some minor areas for improvement that could enhance the shopping experience:

  1. Consistent Design for CTAs: For call-to-action (CTA) buttons that have the same function, make sure they all have a consistent style. This will help customers quickly recognize and use buttons when they need them.

  2. Placement of "View More" Button: Customers typically scroll down to get a quick overview of each collection before deciding to view all products. If the "View More" button is placed higher up, they may need to scroll back up, which interrupts the flow. Consider moving it to a spot that aligns better with the natural scrolling behavior.
  3. Boosting loyalty program engagement:
    • Update your pop-up to clearly highlight the benefits of your loyalty program. Instead of a general "Start Collecting Points," try highlighting the benefit that customers can receive by joining.
    • Encourage more customers to sign up by adding an earning rule for creating an account.
    • Consider creating a loyalty landing page to make it easier for customers to understand the perks of joining your program.
  4. Remove App Logos from Notification Bar: For a more polished look, try removing the current app logo from the notification bar to keep the design cohesive and professional.

I hope these suggestions help! Let me know if you’d like more insights or have any questions about specific tools to track customer behavior. Keep up the great work on your store!

Hi @Annvdb. It's great that you've put so much effort into optimizing your poster store. Since you've just started your Meta ads campaign, it’s normal to take some time to see results, but here are a few common factors that might be affecting conversions:

Landing page experience: Double-check that the ad links directly to a relevant product or category page with minimal load time and a clear call to action. If there are too many steps before checkout, customers may drop off.

- Trust signals: Consider adding customer reviews, social proof (like testimonials or user-generated photos), and trust badges. These reassure new visitors that your store is reliable.

Clear value proposition: Make sure your ads and landing pages communicate the unique aspects of your posters. For example, "high-quality art prints," "limited editions," or "made from sustainable materials."

- Mobile optimization: Since many clicks come from mobile, you need to ensure that your site is mobile-friendly, with a smooth experience from browsing to checkout.

I hope my feedback is helpful to you!

Liz

Hi there @Annvdb the first observation I have here is with your sticky header. I think it will be a good idea to make the font bigger and maybe give it a different color than the rest of the homepage. Also, it will be much better to switch the search button to the right hand side.
You have a section for the newest products so it will also make sense to add a section for the latest arrivals on the homepage as well.
Lastly, I would suggest maybe having a FAQ page on the homepage. That would help you share important information about the store.

Hi @Annvdb

I checked out your store, imaginedprints.com, and here’s my take on what might be hindering customers from making a purchase. I'll break it down into key areas to help you pinpoint potential issues and improve the situation:

1. First Impressions (Design & Navigation)

  • Homepage Design: Your homepage looks clean, but it could use more engaging visuals or CTAs. For instance, a bold banner highlighting your unique selling points (e.g., "Exclusive Artistic Posters - Free Shipping Over €X") could grab attention.
  • Navigation: The menu feels simple but could use a “Shop All” or “Best Sellers” option to direct users quickly to what you offer. Adding a category like "New Arrivals" or "Trending Prints" might also help.

2. Product Pages

  • Lack of Urgency/Trust Factors: Your product pages are visually nice, but adding elements like:
    • A countdown timer or stock scarcity message.
    • Trust badges (e.g., secure checkout icons, "Satisfaction Guaranteed").
    • Clear return/refund policy links near the "Add to Cart" button.
  • Descriptions: The product descriptions are okay but could be more descriptive, emotional, and relatable. People buy posters for personal or gifting reasons—connect with their motivations (e.g., “Transform your space into an artistic haven!”).
  • Images: Your images are nice, but mockups showing the posters on walls (different room setups: modern, boho, etc.) can help customers visualize how it fits in their spaces.

3. Pricing & Shipping

  • Pricing Transparency: If shipping isn’t included or clearly communicated upfront, it could be a dealbreaker. Consider offering free shipping or highlighting it prominently.
  • Perceived Value: Your prices seem fine, but adding “value triggers” like bundles (e.g., “Buy 2, Get 1 Free”) or limited-time discounts could make them more enticing.

4. Checkout Process

  • Cart Page: Ensure the cart page is simple, with minimal distractions, and shows all costs upfront. A visible checkout button is a must.
  • Guest Checkout: If customers need to create an account, that might be a barrier. Ensure guest checkout is enabled.

5. Ads and Audience

  • Targeting: Since you’re getting clicks but no actions, your ad targeting might need refinement.
    • Are you targeting the right audience? Try focusing on specific demographics like “Home Decor Enthusiasts,” “New Homeowners,” or “Gift Shoppers.”
    • Use retargeting ads for visitors who clicked but didn’t buy.
    • Test creatives: Experiment with carousel ads showcasing your prints in real-life settings.
  • Landing Pages: Ensure your ad leads to a relevant product or collection, not just the homepage.

6. Analytics

  • Use tools like Hotjar or Shopify’s Session Recording feature to watch how visitors interact with your store. This could help identify where they drop off.
  • Track metrics like:
    • Bounce Rate (are they leaving quickly?)
    • Time Spent on Page (are they engaging with your content?)

Visual Mockup Suggestion

To better illustrate improvements, here's a simple mockup idea:

  1. A hero banner featuring a lifestyle shot of your posters with bold text:
“Art That Speaks to Your Space – Discover Our Collection!”
  2. Below that, showcase 3-4 bestsellers with a "Shop Now" button.
  3. Testimonials carousel to build trust.

If you’d like, I can help you tweak specific areas like your product descriptions or ad strategy further.

If you need any other assistance, feel free to reply and I will try my best to help.
Best regards,
Daisy
