Hi !  I'm not getting any traffic and I don't know what steps to take. I'm posting on fb, reddit, pinterest. I thought I picked a good niche, low vision aids for visually impaired people and guide dog gear. What am I doing wrong ?   I pick items I know can help people because I'm legally blind and I know how difficult life  can be for simple things. I want to help people.  I have a starter shop and doesn't let me organize my store at all. Does that turn people off ?  Thanks for any advice. 1. Add the Favicon icon

You should add the Favicon to your store. Favicons are of great importance to the overall effect of your website's imagery, improving its user experience, branding, and professionalism. Its main purpose is to help visitors locate your page easier when they have multiple tabs open. 

2. Have the Navigation Menu bar

Having a navigation bar at the top of your homepage is crucial for user navigation, improving the overall user experience by making it easy to find and explore different sections of the site. 

Important tabs to include in their navigation bar could be: 

  • Home: to help customers easily navigate, back to your home page when they want.

 

  • Collection, Best Sellers: to list the types of products available, best sellers product or any product you want to promote.
  • About Us: to share the story and mission of the store. 
  • Contact Us: for customer support and inquiries. 

+) You need to create new important pages that I mention you can use some page builder apps that already have sample template that you can easily create your page by template professional and faster. 

+) After new important pages, you need to navigate the pages to menu bar in Shopify.

3. Modify the product description

Currently you show a lot product information in your home page. 

=> You should remove some detail information, just keep the product name, price, product types. This will help your page display better and customer can easier to find the product they want. The detail information you should include in the description in the product pages when customer open the product pages.

4. Add testimonials section

Testimonials are an essential component of any successful Shopify store. It provides social proof, builds credibility, and influences potential customers' purchasing decisions. It can help your online store be more trustworthy.

Integrate with your social media platform

Enhancing your store's visual appeal and boosting sales potential can be achieved by integrating shoppable Instagram feeds on your website. 

=> Tools like VIBE and Instafeed enable you to display attractive Instagram content directly on your site, including posts, photos, and reels. These platforms offer the functionality to tag products within your visuals, allowing customers to conveniently shop directly from your Instagram feed.

Your website lacks a favicon image. Consider adding one to make your store look professional and easy to recognize among multiple open tabs.

 

2. Navigation Menu and Logo

 

The logo in the navigation menu is too large, and there is no clear navigation menu present. Consider resizing the logo or choosing an alternative one.

 

Additionally, implement a clear navigation menu with links to key sections of your website (e.g., Home, Shop, About Us, Contact Us). This will make the site look professional and make it easier for users to navigate through different sections.

3. Hero Section

The homepage introduces all products, which is not its primary purpose. You should consider replacing with these specific sections: 

 

  • Product Collections: Showcase your product lines to give users an overview of your categories.
  • Best Sellers/Popular Products: List your popular products and update this section regularly.
  • New Arrivals: Highlight your newest items to keep users informed about new products.

5. About Us Section

 

Create an About Us section on the homepage to share your store's story, vision, and mission. This builds emotional connections, enhances credibility, and presents a professional image. Additionally, create a detailed Contact Us page and link to it from the homepage, encouraging users to spend more time on your website. 

 

6. Reviews/Testimonials Section

 

Include a section for customer reviews and testimonials to showcase positive feedback from previous buyers, helping to build trust and confidence among potential customers.

7. CTA Buttons

 

Consider placing Call-to-Action (CTA) buttons strategically throughout your homepage to guide users to different sections and prevent them from quickly leaving the site. For example, place them on the hero banner, product collections section, and About Us section.

 

8. Product Collection Page

 

Divide the product collection page into sections so users can easily find what they are looking for without extensive scrolling, which can be distracting.

9.1. Product Headings

 

Currently, your product headings are too long. Consider shortening them to make them more concise and visually appealing.

Currently, if your product contains two or more pictures, users need to scroll extensively to view them all. Therefore, consider using a slider for product images to make viewing easier.

10. FAQ page and Contact us Page

 

Currently, you don't have a Contact Us page and FAQ page. Add a Contact Us page and a FAQ page to enhance user experience. The FAQ page can address common questions, while the Contact Us page offers an alternative way for users to reach out with specific inquiries.

The homepage is the first landing page your customers will see after opening the website. Yours is done beautifully.
1. Add featured products on the home page with an add to cart button.

2.Featured Products / all Titles should be Optimized and Seo Friendly.

3.Add a featured collection on your home page.

4.Add sticky add to cart button on home page collection features.
6. Add a Lead magnet section on Home Page
7.If Possible, add Instagram feed on the home page.

8.Add customer reviews on the home page to gain the trust of the customer.

- Add Sticky add to Cart and Buy now Button for quick checkout
- Add Trust Badges below add to cart or Buy now Button. 

- Add Products Bages like New, 10% Off, You Save 20$ or Free Shipping
- Add Mouseover on 2nd image Features  

SPEED Optimization:

1.Your site might be in need of Optimization too. As per Google Insights, your site score is 61 which means that attention is required here. A well-optimised site rates 70+for mobile version, this affects your SEO ranking and decides how many customers/visitors view or find your website as 80% visitors use mobile to place the order. This is especially important if you don't want to invest in advertisements.

Speed optimization is required to increase sales and traffic. Also, if your speed is not good, your website ranking will definitely fall.
