Good morning,

 

We purchased this store and would like honest feedback on the UX/UI.  The store has been like for 3 years and we recently started managing it.  We currently use a premium theme (could'nt mention name here) and are looking to make some major updates on design.  What are your thoughts on how it looks now and how would you improve it before we begin the process.  Please be honest, good or bad. 😀

Store copy looks good to me. 

Investing in some high quality product photos would do the site wonders. You can even do it yourself with a smartphone with a good camera. It'll help give the brand the consistency it needs.

1. Add more product images 

It's essential to provide more images to build trust and help visitors/customers visualize the product in real life. 

Include images from different angles, close-ups of key features, and lifestyle shots that show the product in use.

2. I noticed that some of the product screen details on the page are incomplete.

Completing these details is crucial for a few reasons:

  • Customer confidence: Ensures that customers have all the information they need to make a confident purchasing decision. 
  • SEO benefits: Making it more likely that potential customers will find your products through search engines.
  • Reducing returns: Clear, complete information helps set accurate expectations, which can significantly reduce the likelihood of returns or customer dissatisfaction.

3. I suggest placing this benefit bar at the top of the page as well.

This way, visitors see these important benefits immediately when they land on your site, which can help build trust and encourage them to explore your products further.

Please find my observations below from customers perspective, which will definitely enhance their overall experience -

1. Display product rating -  Displaying product ratings can help improve customer experience, increase sales and built trust in your brand. It gives better understanding to customers on product quality and performance

2.  Integrating with 3PL return and exchanges handling applications will provide better experience compared to reaching out to support to make them understand their reason for the same. Not only it is time consuming, but some time its the ease of return policy that is a crucial factor in decision making for any new customer visiting the website with the intent of making his/her first purchase

3. Adding a review section with customers rating and feedbacks, will not only serve as a marketing technique you can use to show potential customers the value of your company’s products or services. It’s helpful to understand the importance of customer reviews so you can leverage this technique to attract new customers, increase brand awareness and boost sales.

Rest, I am assuming the detailed description and images are yet to be updated. I will definitely provide recommendations on it as well, once it is updated.

Hey there @ModernAV the UI/UX of the store when it comes to navigating around seems pretty good to me. In terms of suggestions on how it be better, you can add the accepted payment APIs at the bottom of the homepage so customers can even know ahead maybe if they could make purchases in your store and what not.

Also, in terms of presenting the products themselves, it would make sense to add videos of your project screens in action so that customers can see them and could be more moved to making the purchase.
