I would greatly appreciate feedback on my stores.  ecomoasis.us and chicelegance.ecomoasis.us

I'm currently working on fattening my advertising budget in order to start running ad campaigns.  But, I want to make sure that when customers go to my stores they are immediately hooked and don't think of it as a "drop-shipping website."  This is why I'm being very selective on the products I offer and the quality of these products.  With that said, I would definitely appreciate feedback on the presentation of my stores, my product lines, user friendliness of both stores.  I'm a newbie at e-commerce, but I'm a seasoned e-commerce shopper.

I've done all the designing myself, with the help of my beautiful girlfriend and trusted friends, and the wonderful support staff at Shopify.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi @RickJP,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. This is MooseDesk - All-in-one Customer Support and Helpdesk Solution for your Start-up

Congratulations on your new store! I can see it is well-designed and has quite enough essential details. While it's already great, I do have some suggestions to help make it even better. Here are a few of my recommendations for a better customer experience, if you don't mind taking a look.

Chic Elegance

1. Hero section

  • Change to high-quality images

Images with high resolution can make your website look more visually appealing and professional, which can leave a positive first impression on visitors. I suggest browsing websites like Pexels or Unsplash to download free high-resolution images

  • Add a CTA button

CTAs guide visitors towards taking a desired action, like signing up for a service, making a purchase, or browsing more products

Screenshot 2024-07-09 at 09.53.09.png

2. Product page

  • Add the main image

A large main image allows customers to get a clear and close look at the product, which is essential for online shopping since they can't physically interact with it. Take a look at this example:

Screenshot 2024-07-09 at 10.17.46.png

  • Simplify the description

Simpler descriptions are easier for people to read and understand. You can consider using bullet points with short sentences, focusing on keywords of the materials, usage, etc.

Ecomoasis

1. Add a favicon

Favicons help users easily identify your website among a sea of open tabs in their browser. This saves them time and frustration when switching between pages.

Screenshot 2024-07-09 at 10.07.49.png

2. Group products into categories

Categories act like signposts on your website, guiding users to the products they're looking for quickly and intuitively. Besides, grouping products by category makes it easier to track inventory levels, identify popular items, and forecast future needs.

Add FAQ pages to both websites

I can see that you’ve already created a Chat widget and Contact Us for both of your sites. However, you can make it even better by adding a FAQ page.

I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a free support, FAQ & Helpdesk App. MooseDesk provides auto-reply features during non-business hours, a proactive help center, and a user-friendly widget layout, offering an effective solution to enhance customer support on your platform.

You can easily create and customize FAQ page within 5 minutes with appealing templates:

As an expert/enthusiast in UX, I recommend implementing these changes to improve customer experience when scrolling through your store.

Hello!

Thanks for your valuable feedback and advice.

On EcomOasis, I’m focusing on aligning my products under the categories of health, wealth, and relationships. Since I can’t offer products that will increase wealth, the alternative is to offer products that save money. This is why I’ve created the collections shown on the website. If you would indulge me, each category on the slider has a subheading that touches on these three topics, with the exception of the slider photo that redirects people to ChicElegance.

It’s hard to find high definition images from my suppliers’ sites, but I can try to filter them out.

With regard to descriptions, I’m aware that they should be shortened and I’m working on that.

I’ve already added a favicon, and I’m working on the CTA.

I’m not sure what’s your definition of the main page, so I’d appreciate a little clarification.

The FAQ pages are in the works. I’ve downloaded your app to both of my stores, so it’s just a question of time to create an FAQ page for both.

Thanks again for your advice and insight!

Hi @RickJP Thank you for reaching out and seeking feedback on your stores. It's evident that you have put considerable effort into creating a captivating shopping experience, and I commend your dedication to offering high-quality products and a seamless user experience. I am providing some insights as a CRO expert to your stores collectively:

  • Visual Appeal
    • Both stores have a clean and modern design that is visually appealing. The use of high-quality images and well-organized product categories makes it easy for customers to navigate.
    • Consider adding more lifestyle images that show your products in real-life settings. This can help customers envision the products in their own lives, enhancing the appeal and perceived value.
  • Brand Identity
    • Ensure that your brand's unique identity and story are clearly communicated. A compelling "About Us" page can build trust and connect emotionally with your audience.
    • Consistent branding across both sites, including color schemes, fonts, and logos, will help reinforce your brand image and make it more memorable.
  • Product Selection
    • It's great that you are selective about the products you offer. Highlighting the quality and uniqueness of your products in product descriptions can differentiate your store from competitors.
    • Consider adding customer reviews and ratings to build social proof and further validate the quality of your products.
  • Navigation
    • Both sites are easy to navigate, with clear menus and well-organized categories. However, consider adding a search bar to help customers find products quickly.
    • Implementing breadcrumbs can help users understand their location within the site and make navigation more intuitive.
  • Checkout Process
    • A streamlined and user-friendly checkout process is crucial. Ensure that the checkout process is as simple and straightforward as possible to reduce cart abandonment rates.
    • Offering multiple payment options can cater to a wider range of customers and improve the overall shopping experience.

How Discounting can help?

Integrating the Coupon Discount on Cart app can improve the user experience and boost conversions on your stores. By displaying available discount coupons directly on the cart page, you make it easy for customers to apply discounts without leaving the checkout flow. This can reduce cart abandonment and increase conversions. Customers love getting discounts, and providing them with visible and easily accessible coupons can enhance their shopping experience and satisfaction.

Overall, you have done an excellent job with the design and product selection of your stores. With some minor tweaks, you can further enhance the user experience and increase your chances of success in the competitive e-commerce landscape. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. I wish you the best of luck with your stores and your upcoming ad campaigns.

Best regards,

Ina

Hello Ina!!

Thank you for your very valuable feedback on my stores!

You’d be surprised how many people have taken advantage of my post to try and sell me on some sort of “clandestine” service. On the other hand, you have provided me with great advice and ideas.

Because of the nature of drop shipping, finding the right images can be hard at times. But, I keep searching.

With regard to product descriptions, I admit I haven’t really spent enough time rewriting these. Just yesterday I was talking to my girlfriend about the products, and she, again, reminded me that “less is more,” and that perhaps I should shorten the name of certain products, such that when someone does a search engine on Google, for example, they are directed to my stores. I’ve done some SEO on ecomoasis, and if you google the name, my website is number 2 on the first Google page. Since I did it myself, knowing nothing about SEO, I’m pretty proud of that.

Your idea about a coupon discount on the cart is great. I’m not good at coding, so if coding is needed, I’ll have to find someone who can do it.

Overall, I need to spend more time optimizing the stores before I even start thinking about advertising campaigns. For me the “Wow” factor is very important.

Thanks again for your help feedback!!

Hi @RickJP ,

I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.

I would be happy to review your websites and provide feedback on the performance.

1. Improving the speed and performance on Mobile

  • I checked two websites performance on PageSpeed Insights - a Google tool that measures the website performance and found that scores on mobile, where a high number of the traffic is coming from, is around 3x-4x - pretty low while the performance score on mobile should ideally be above 6x.

mageplazacs_1-1721038244268.png

  • Slow loading speeds affect various aspects related to user behavior and business outcomes, ultimately leading to lower conversion rates. Here is some suggestion:
  • For Shopify stores, the following are several factors that impact website performance
    • Store theme
    • The apps installed
    • Any additional third-party code you’ve manually added to your store, including tag managers and the tags within them
  • Here are some tips that you can use to improve your site performance:

Besides, here are some recommendations regarding the UX/UI

2. Banner

mageplazacs_2-1721038244345.png

mageplazacs_3-1721038244329.png

The current banners are too general, you should use a high-quality, eye-catching hero banner with a clear value proposition and a strong call-to-action (CTA). Highlight any ongoing sales, new arrivals, or bestsellers. Below is a reference:

mageplazacs_4-1721038244334.png

3. Search bar

mageplazacs_5-1721038244197.png

mageplazacs_6-1721038244198.png

  • You should enhance the search by making larger product images, including price information, rating, etc to enhance shopping experience.
  • Adding search by brand, search by collection to improve search bar
  • Below is a reference:

4. You may also like

mageplazacs_8-1721038244237.png

mageplazacs_9-1721038244274.png

  • You should add ATC, add to wish list, quick view buttons and make discount label more noticeable to encourage customers to buy your products
  • Here is a reference:

5. Shop by category and category page

mageplazacs_11-1721038243891.png

  • You should group products into categories and then show the categories on the navigation bar. This will help your customers find their needs quickly, enhance shopping experience and encourage them to buy products from your stores. Below is a reference:

mageplazacs_12-1721038244195.png

6. Adding review section on Ecomoasis

When a product has no review, this often causes big hesitation to purchase for buyers.

7. Add more product details on Chic Elegance

mageplazacs_13-1721038843082.png

The lack of product information might be an issue for the conversion as it will cause the hesitation to purchase. You should add more product information such as size guide, care instructions, etc.. See the reference below:

I hope some of my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback.

Good luck!
