I have had over 800 visits to my store, advertised on Tik Tok and Facebook but still not a single sale.

I would be grateful if someone could shine some light on where I’m going wrong!

Hi @Ash2007,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. We are MooseDesk, a comprehensive Live Chat, FAQ & Helpdesk App designed to elevate your customer support experience.

First, your store looks stunning and it has quite enough essential information. However, if you want to improve your conversion rate, please check my recommendations below.

1. Freeze the header

A sticky header makes it easier for users to find what they're looking for and avoid having to scroll all the way back to the top each time they want to navigate to a different section of the website.

2. Add a hero section

The hero section is the first thing visitors see and it sets the tone for the entire experience of your web visitors, so try to take advantage of this by adding these elements:

  • A high-quality image or video: Create a desgin that aligns with your brand
  • A compelling headline: It should be your brand’s slogan or key message that highlights your unique selling proposition.
  • A prominent CTA button: Use strong action-oriented language (e.g., "Shop Now," "Learn More") and make the button stand out

Take a look at this example

3. Add a footer section

The footer is often overlooked, but it's a valuable piece that can significantly enhance user experience and boost your website's effectiveness. Some of the elements you can consider adding are:

  • Copyright notice: Clearly state the copyright owner and year.
  • Privacy policy link: Link to your detailed privacy policy.
  • Terms of service link: Link to your terms and conditions.
  • Contact information: Include your address, phone number, and email.
  • Social media icons: Link to your social media profiles.

4. Add a customer support section

Don't overlook the importance of customer support for your new online store. Being available whenever customers need you the most can help drive more conversion to your store. You can consider adding these sections to your website:

  • Contact Us page: Contact Us page is a page containing your store’s contact information: Phone number, address, contact email, … In some cases, the contact page also has a contact form to receive queries from customers.

  • FAQ page: FAQ page is a page containing multiple answers to frequently asked questions of customers.

  • Live chat support: This is a widget that pops up on your website, allowing visitors to ask questions and get assistance directly from your team in real time.

Dear @Ash2007 ,

Thank you so much for your question.

After reviewing your site, I have a few suggestions that may help improve performance and conversions:

  1. Enhance Transparency – Besides optimizing visuals, ensure your site has clear and well-defined policies, such as shipping, refund, and return policies, to build trust with customers. For example:

    LizHoang_1-1739144135305.png

  2. Analyze the Checkout Process – If you are getting visits and add-to-cart actions but no sales, consider testing the process from adding to cart to checkout to identify any potential issues customers might be facing.

  3. Add Product Reviews & Real Images – Including a review section and adding as many real-life product images as possible can help increase credibility and encourage conversions. For example:

  4. Set Up Email Marketing for Abandoned Carts – You may consider setting up an email marketing app to send follow-up emails to customers who abandon their cart or checkout, which can help recover lost sales.

I hope you find my answer helpful!

Best regards,
Liz.

Hi @Ash2007,

I'm Kate from PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder App.

Generally, I love your store’s design, it looks classic but professional. From my CRO expertise, I’d love to give you my suggestions as hereby:

  • Have a sticky header

If your website visitors are looking for a particular product while browsing, what's the usual action they would take? They might have to scroll all the way up to the page's top to find the search bar, which can be a bit of an inconvenience. However, this issue can be addressed by introducing a sticky header, significantly improving the ease of navigation for your customers

Another thing you might care about is that the sticky header with the current logo might take significant space while scrolling. So I would like to suggest that you reduce the size of the logo to save more space to showcase the products.

  • Have the hero section on top of the page

The banner is very significant in hero material. It is the first thing customers see when they visit your website so you need to get consumers to know exactly what you're having in 5 seconds first.

Unfortunately, you missed this section and you placed the “New arrivals” on top instead. Please update your homepage with this, and you might want to take a advantage of the slideshow for this section

  • Create main-secondary in the information structure

If both product titles and product prices are bold, it brings about an unreasonable information structure so I’d like to suggest you not to bold the prices

PageFlyKate_1-1739152943674.png

  • Make sure CTA button is available where it should be

A crucial element for an online store's homepage is the primary call-to-action button. This button serves as a direct link to the specific page where you want customers to take action, such as a collection or product page.

Here is an example:

PageFlyKate_2-1739152968905.png

So please put the CTA button right where it should. And, it's also very important to maintain consistent styling for all call-to-action buttons to maximize the conversion rate.

  • Add more sections
    • Product details: One of the best-sellers from your store should be showcased to catch more attention
    • Instagram feed: Your Instagram content adds a fresh feel to your website by showing you’re active online and interacting with your customers.
    • Testimonial - customer reviews: This section will help you build customers' trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos. Here is a demo for you:

PageFlyKate_3-1739153007243.png

    • Benefit section: Adding a benefit section in the middle of the homepage will give your customers a reason to purchase from you instead of the competition. This helps reduce the bounce rate and increase the likelihood of purchase.

  • Use color swatch

Product color swatches enhance conversion rate by reducing the number of clicks for customers to find the product they want. The shorter and easier a customer's path to the desired product is, the more likely they will make a purchase.

And that's my feedback! Hope it helps you boost the conversion rate.

Cheers!

Hi @Ash2007 ,  I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing with your online store, despite attracting visitors from TikTok and Facebook . This situation is not uncommon among e-commerce businesses, and several factors could be contributing to the lack of sales. Let's explore some potential areas for improvement.

1. Website design and user experience
A well-designed website is crucial for converting visitors into customers. Ensure that your site is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and mobile-friendly. Complicated layouts or slow loading times can deter potential buyers. According to research, a significant number of online shoppers abandon their carts due to complex and confusing checkout processes.

2. Product presentation
High-quality images and detailed descriptions are essential. Customers rely on visuals and information to make purchasing decisions. Ensure that each product has multiple clear images from different angles and comprehensive descriptions highlighting features, benefits, and specifications.

3. Target audience alignment
It's possible that the traffic driven from your ads isn't aligning with your target audience. Analyze your marketing campaigns to ensure they're reaching individuals interested in your products. Misaligned traffic can lead to high visitor numbers but low conversion rates.

4. Trustworthiness and social proof
Building trust is vital. Incorporate customer reviews, testimonials, and any endorsements to establish credibility. Clearly display contact information, return policies, and security badges to reassure visitors.

5. Clear call to action (CTA)
Ensure that your CTAs are prominent and compelling. Guide visitors towards making a purchase with clear instructions like "Add to Cart" or "Buy Now". Ambiguous or hidden CTAs can lead to missed opportunities.

6. Pricing and shipping
Evaluate your pricing strategy to ensure it aligns with market expectations. Additionally, unexpected shipping costs can deter customers at checkout. Consider offering free shipping or clearly stating shipping fees upfront.

7. Checkout process
A complicated or lengthy checkout process can lead to cart abandonment. Simplify the steps required to complete a purchase. Allow guest checkouts and minimize the information required to essential details.

8. Mobile optimization
With a significant number of users shopping via mobile devices, ensure your website is fully optimized for mobile. A poor mobile experience can result in lost sales.

Review these areas, make improvements, and test continuously to boost conversions!
