Hi @molly1414

I just preview on your store, I see that the store is pretty new. To run a effective ads campaign, you might need to focus several key points:

1. Narrow your Target audience : You have to create the online audience based on the traits of who you want to see your ad, and narrow down your ad's audience by interests, gender or location and use ad targeting to find the people who are most likely to take action.

2. Focus on the Ads content:  Content is king and the best strategy on SEO is Content. Therefore, you have to make sure your ads are compelling and attractive to customers.

3. Pricing and promotions: Since your store is pretty, you can take advantage to compete with competitors is competitive pricing to earn customers first. furthermore, you can consider to offer discounts, promotions, or freeshipping for a limited time.

3. Product and store presentation : make sure to use high-quality images to showcase your products effectively. As your products are Food, use appetizing and add more images to each products, because people eat with their eyes first.

Your store currently has a very user-friendly design, which is a good point.

4. Increase customer trust : Display reviews, however, add more reviews with images that can showcase that there are real buyers purchased. It will build more trust for new buyers to purchase.

I hope the points above are helpful. Thank you.

Esther

Hi,

I'm just giving you my honest opinion.

I think you should change the first image on the website. Make it more clean, modern and more professional.

I also think that there is too much colors on the website. Choose 1 or 2 and remove the others.

If you are sending traffic, I hope that you send it to the product page. (I would add some informations about the product and the company on the product page too. Build more trust.)

It might be a good idea to start by posting organic content. It looks like the product is home made and you could create a real connection with people by sharing how you make it and the story behind it.

Good luck my friend.

Hi @molly1414! I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.

Thank you for reaching out and congratulations on launching your store! Your website looks fantastic, and the quality of your toffee really shines through. I’ve taken a look and put together some feedback to help you convert those visits into sales:

1. Navigation
Adding more menu options could help visitors learn about your brand and products. For example:
- An About Us page to share your story and connect emotionally with customers.
- An FAQ page to answer common questions about ingredients, shipping, and storage.
- A Gift Ideas section to position your toffee as a perfect present for special occasions.

2. Homepage Enhancements
- Highlight what makes your toffee unique (e.g., family recipe, handcrafted, small batches).
- Include a “Best Sellers” or “Customer Favorites” section to guide shoppers.

3. SEO and Product Titles
Adding more descriptive product titles could help with search engine visibility. For example, instead of “English Toffee With Almonds,” try something like “Handcrafted English Toffee with Roasted Almonds – Made Fresh.”

4. Urgency and Social Proof
You could include messages like “Limited Stock Available” or “Freshly Made Daily – Order Now” to encourage purchases. Social proof such as “Loved by 1,000+ customers” can also reassure new visitors.

5. Email Collection
Consider adding a pop-up to collect emails by offering a discount (e.g., “Sign up now to get 10% off your first order!”). This can also help with retargeting campaigns.

Additionally, here are some tips to align your Facebook ads with your website and optimize for conversions:
1. Ad Copy Alignment
Ensure the messaging in your Facebook ad matches the landing page. For example:
- If the ad highlights “Fresh, Handcrafted Toffee,” make sure this is the first thing visitors see on your website.
- If you're offering a discount (e.g., “10% off your first order”), display it prominently on the homepage or product pages.
- Highlight a clear offer: Focus on your unique selling points (e.g., "All-Natural Ingredients," "Small-Batch Toffee") to differentiate yourself from competitors.

2. Targeting the Right Audience
- Interest-Based Targeting: Focus on audiences interested in:
+ Gourmet snacks, handcrafted foods, or sweets.
+ Health-conscious living (for the “All-Natural” aspect).
+ Gift ideas, especially during holiday seasons.
- Lookalike Audiences: Use Facebook’s tools to create lookalike audiences based on people who have already visited your website or engaged with your page.
- Local Targeting: If you're focusing on a specific region, refine the ad location settings.

3. Ad Timing and Retargeting
- Retarget visitors: Show ads to people who have visited your site but didn’t make a purchase. For example: "Still thinking about our handcrafted toffee? Get 10% off your first order today!"
- Abandoned cart ads: If someone added products to their cart but didn’t check out, remind them with an exclusive offer.
- Seasonal ads: Tailor ads for key occasions (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Christmas, or birthdays) and promote your toffee as the perfect gift.

4. Tracking and Optimization
- Install Facebook Pixel: This will track user behavior on your site and help with retargeting and ad performance analysis.
- A/B Testing: Test different ad creatives, headlines, and offers to see what resonates best with your audience.
- Analyze Ad Metrics: Focus on Click-Through Rate (CTR), Cost Per Click (CPC), and Conversion Rate to refine your strategy.

I hope that these suggestions can help you to drive conversion to your website. Good luck to you!

Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. I have viewed your website and hope our expertise can help you.

It's common to see traffic without conversions, and addressing this gap can be crucial for your success. In addition to your Facebook advertising efforts, consider implementing retargeting campaigns. Retargeting is an effective strategy that allows you to reconnect with users who have previously visited your site but did not make a purchase. By showing them ads featuring the specific products they viewed, you remind them of their interest and encourage them to return and complete their purchase. This approach can be particularly effective because it targets users who have already demonstrated some level of interest in your offerings, which often leads to higher conversion rates.

Dynamic ads take retargeting a step further by automatically displaying products that users have interacted with on your site. This personalization can enhance the relevance of your ads, making it more likely that potential customers will engage with them. While both retargeting and dynamic ads serve similar purposes, the key difference lies in the level of personalization. Dynamic ads adapt based on individual user behavior, showcasing items they are most likely to be interested in.

In addition, consider offering a discount for new sign-ups. This not only incentivizes potential customers to make their first purchase but also helps you build a valuable email list for future marketing efforts. People love feeling like they’re getting a deal, and a discount can encourage them to take that final step from browsing to buying.

To facilitate this process, I will recommend using our Ako Marketing app, which offers retargeting features that simplify the setup of the campaigns and helps set up the sign-up reward easily for your store. You can easily create targeted ads that resonate with your audience through our app and boost your chances of converting visits into sales.

Hello Molly @molly1414  you should create sections for best sellers and latest arrivals on the homepage. It would help customers in navigating your store better.

In your shoes, I would also consider adding a FAQ page. This would help to give clarity to worries or inquiries that customers are likely to have.

Hi there, I'm Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder.

Congrats on your new store! The website is informative & looks majestic. I had a good experience exploring it. I totally get how it may be struggling at first. From my Conversion Rate Optimization expertise, I would like to give you some suggestions regarding the store design to make the store more stunning and better convert.

  1. General
  • Make the header smaller: The current header takes up so much room and looks a bit overwhelming. Make the logo smaller to get a better visual for the header.
  • Make use of the announcement bar: Consider making the announcement bar sticky to the top of the page. As I see you are running on a sale campaign, this can be featured on the announcement bar along with a countdown timer as well to catch users attention easily and create urgency.

PageFlyKate_0-1737082499837.png

  1. Homepage
  • Make the banner above the fold to improve the UX
  • Pay attention to the first product showcase: The first product showcase on your homepage is a highly important touch point as it would decide whether or not visitors have interest in your products and make a purchase.
  • Add an “Explore more” button to allow shoppers to view additional products. This would help reduce bounce rate and allow more chances of getting sales as they can continue to explore other options to their liking.
  • Align the product list layout and highlight the price information as hoppers often visit e-commerce websites with the primary intent of finding and comparing prices. You should use another color or set it with other stylings to make the price information more noticeable
  • Add secondary hover on image: Instead of a single static image, it would be better to show more how your products are used in real life, packaging or unique materials of them, which can increase the likelihood of making a purchase.

PageFlyKate_1-1737082499541.png

  • Add About Us Section

Visitors who land on your site for the first time might seek out who is behind the product, and why they should buy from you. So consider adding an About Us section to introduce your brand.

For example,

PageFlyKate_2-1737082499815.png

  1. Product page
  • Improve the Buy section:Highlight the important information of the description and apply more the price to make it more prominent.

PageFlyKate_3-1737082499585.png

  • Add a sticky add to cart button to product page

A sticky Add to cart (ATC) button remains visible on the screen as users scroll through product details, images, and reviews. This reduces friction and ensures the call-to-action is always accessible, making it easier for shoppers to make a purchase decision without having to scroll back up.

  • Include Review/Testimonial section into your product page

I understand your store is new, but just a friendly-reminder, don't forget reviews are essential to the shopping experience. You should add a testimonial section to build trust for your products' quality. If there are not enough rating stars, consider using text & images to showcase feedback of your first orders.

That’s all of my feedback. I hope it will increase your website's conversion rate. Feel free to reach me in the reply section if you need further discussions. Wish you luck and endurance on your entrepreneurship journey!

Hi @molly1414 ,

Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community! I'm Mia from MooseDesk , your go-to Live Chat, WhatsApp and FAQ App here to help you enhance your customer support experience 😍

Congrats on your new store! I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building this. Here are some of my recommendations for better customer experience, please kindly check 💓

1. Revise Hero Section

- I notice your currrent hero image is quite big that can affect customer experience when visit your website. I recommend you shoud resize this banner for desktop ( 1920 x 1080 pixels ) to ensure clarity and visual impact without stretching or distortion.

- Moreover, the CTA button should be more visible. You can make it larger and add a hover effect (e.g., color change, slight shadow) to make it interactive

2. Improve Product Listing Section

There are no CTAs to encourage users to take immediate action, such as adding items to their cart. You coud add CTA like "Add to Cart", "Learn More", "Buy Now" to encourage customer purchases

MooseDesk_2-1737107244599.png

3. Revise Customer Review Section

I recommend you should revamp customer review section to make it more visible. You can use  uniform card sizes and spacing between testimonials for a cleaner appearance. Include customer profile pictures or product images to make the testimonials more relatable.

MooseDesk_4-1737107518506.png

4. Improve Footer Section

The footer section should be more engaging. You shoud group the "Help" links (e.g., Search, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy) under one column with a clear title. Improve the email signup design by adding a placeholder like "Enter your email for exclusive deals."

5. Add a Section Telling the Brand Story

Sharing your brand's story builds trust and emotional connection with customers. You could tell the story to explain the inspiration behind Mountain Made Toffee (e.g., family recipes, commitment to quality) or highlight the premium ingredients used (e.g., "Made with locally sourced almonds and rich, creamy butter")

MooseDesk_3-1737107386146.png

6. Add a live chat widget for your Online Store

I can see that your website lacks a help widget and live chat feature to allow customers to contact you immediately. How about having a powerful live chat to assist potential customers instantly, addressing their questions or concerns in real time? This can help prevent abandonment and encourage purchases

I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a FREE Live Chat, WhatsApp & FAQ App. You can easily reach customer support via WhatsApp, ensuring immediate assistance for inquiries. Also, the widget provide multi self-Service options such as Order tracking, Translation and FAQ section empower customers to resolve common questions on their own, reducing the need for direct support.

Hello @molly1414

First of all, congratulations on launching your store! I had a couple of questions... what's the current conversion rate? Do we have stat-sig traffic? Is the niche well defined for the Facebook ads or you're experimenting now?

Getting visits through Facebook ads is a good start, but turning those visits into sales requires a bit more refinement. After reviewing your store, here are some suggestions that might help improve conversions and build trust with your customers:

  1. Improve Image Quality: High-quality, visually appealing images are essential for a food product like toffee. Customers often shop with their eyes, so ensure all product photos are sharp and well-lit, and showcase the texture and quality of your toffee. You can also include images of the toffee being enjoyed or packaged beautifully.
  2. Add Ingredient Details: The "Ingredients" section is currently empty, which might cause trust issues. Shoppers want to know exactly what they’re eating, especially in today’s health-conscious world. List all ingredients and, if possible, highlight premium or unique ones. For example, if you use almonds from a specific region known for quality, mention that. Adding nutritional information will also build transparency and trust.
  3. Share Your Story: Customers love to connect with the story behind a brand. Share how your toffee is made, where the ingredients are sourced from, and what makes it unique compared to other chocolates or toffees. This creates an emotional connection with your audience.
  4. Run Abandoned Cart Campaigns: If visitors are adding products to their carts but not completing purchases, consider running abandoned cart email campaigns. These emails remind customers about their cart and can include incentives like discounts or free shipping to encourage them to complete the purchase.
  5. Offer Discounts and Incentives: Small discounts, like 5% off for first-time customers, can go a long way in encouraging people to try your product. You can also provide incentives such as "Fill out this feedback form and get 5% off your next order" to engage with customers and gather valuable insights.
  6. Provide Free Shipping: Free shipping is a big motivator for many customers. If possible, offer free shipping for orders above a certain amount to encourage larger purchases.
  7. Use Trust Signals: Trust badges like “Secure Payment,” “Money-Back Guarantee,” and “Made with Natural Ingredients” can reassure customers that your store is legitimate and reliable. These badges are especially important for new stores.
  8. Create Urgency: Use widgets like sales countdown timers, limited-stock indicators, or messages like "Only X left in stock" to create a sense of urgency and encourage customers to purchase quickly.
  9. Surprise Your Customers: Consider adding a free sample of another product with each order. For example, if someone orders toffee, you could include a small piece of another flavour for them to try. This leaves a lasting positive impression and increases the likelihood of repeat purchases if they enjoy the sample.
  10. Follow Up with Customers: After someone makes a purchase, send them a follow-up email after a week to thank them and ask for feedback. For example, "Hi! We hope you loved your toffee. Would you like to reorder or try another flavor? Here’s a 10% discount code for your next order." This shows that you care and build customer loyalty.
  11. Engage Through Social Proof: Display customer reviews and testimonials prominently on your site. If you’re just starting out and don’t have many reviews, consider reaching out to friends or early customers for feedback and displaying those.

Make Checkout Seamless: Ensure that your checkout process is quick, easy, and mobile-friendly. Complicated checkout processes can cause drop-offs. Enable guest checkout and clearly display shipping costs upfront.

Leverage Emotional Storytelling in Marketing: On your website or social media, talk about the effort, love, and passion that go into making your toffee. For instance, you could emphasize family recipes or how your product brings people together during special occasions.

By addressing these points, you can create a more engaging and trustworthy shopping experience, making it easier to convert visitors into loyal customers. Best of luck with your store!

Hi @molly1414

Thanks for sharing your store link! I had a look at your website, www.mountainmadetoffee.com, and here are some things that stood out to me, along with suggestions to help you improve and potentially convert those visitors into customers:

1. Homepage Design

  • What I Like: The overall design is clean and the colors are warm, which fits the toffee theme nicely. The imagery looks appealing and gives a sense of handmade quality.
  • Suggestions: Consider adding a strong headline or tagline at the top of your homepage that communicates your unique selling proposition (USP). For example, something like “Crafting Gourmet Toffee with Love Since [Year]” would immediately grab attention.

2. Product Page

  • What I Like: The product images are clear and look delicious. That’s great for food-related businesses!
  • Suggestions: Add more detailed descriptions about the toffee—what makes it special, the flavors, ingredients, or even the story behind it. Also, include customer reviews or testimonials if you have them (even one or two would add social proof).

3. Navigation and User Experience

  • What I Like: Your menu is simple and easy to navigate.
  • Suggestions: Add a “Shop Now” button or banner at the top of your homepage to guide visitors directly to your products. You could also introduce a Featured Product section or a Best Seller badge to highlight popular options.

4. Checkout Process

  • Suggestions: Go through your checkout process to ensure it’s smooth and easy to use. Make sure there are no unnecessary steps that might discourage buyers. Offering multiple payment options (like PayPal or Apple Pay) can also boost conversions.

5. Facebook Ad Alignment

  • Suggestions: Take a look at your Facebook ad targeting. Ensure you’re narrowing your audience to people who are more likely to purchase (e.g., foodies, gift shoppers, or people interested in handmade treats). Also, the ad visuals should match your website—if the ad shows something different than what users see on the site, it can confuse potential customers.

6. Shipping and Returns

  • Suggestions: Make your shipping and return policies visible and clear. A “Free Shipping” offer over a certain amount or a countdown for limited-time deals can nudge people to buy.

7. Engagement Strategies

  • Suggestions: Add a pop-up for first-time visitors offering a discount (e.g., 10% off for subscribing to your email list). This helps with conversions and building a customer base.

8. Mobile Optimization

  • Feedback: Your site looks good on mobile, but make sure every button and text is easy to click or read without zooming. Most visitors shop via mobile these days, so optimizing for this is a must.

Here’s a quick checklist of action points:

  • Add a strong tagline or hero banner to your homepage.
  • Update product descriptions with more emotional or detailed content.
  • Highlight reviews or testimonials for social proof.
  • Consider offering a small incentive like a discount code for first-time buyers.
  • Make sure your Facebook ads are targeting the right audience and align visually with your store.

If you want me to dig deeper into any part of your store, just let me know!

If you need any other assistance, feel free to reply and I will try my best to respond.
Best regards,
Daisy
