I recently launched my website for my heirloom children's wear business on Shopify. While I've had a good number of visitors, sales have been low. I’m wondering if there might be any issues or aspects my site is lacking that I’m not aware of. I would appreciate any advice or feedback you might have.

The first thing I've notice is the background and color contrast.

The text color is unreadable. Smaller icons on the mobile, hard to touch.

I went through your store, and you’ve done a fantastic job with the design concept, but there are a few areas where you could make improvements to elevate the user experience and optimize for conversions. Here's some constructive feedback:


Home Page Layout:

  1. Add Collection Cards: Show smaller collection product cards right on the homepage. It will give visitors a quick glance at what your store has to offer. Customers relate more when they immediately see product variants that interest them.

  2. Social Proof & USPs: Adding a section with testimonials or reviews (social proof) will build trust. Also, highlight your Unique Selling Propositions (USPs), such as your craftsmanship or free shipping, to make visitors stay and explore.


Product Pages:

  1. Reduce Text: The product description section seems a bit long. Consider shortening it with bullet points (max 3 points) to make it more digestible.

  2. Compare at Price: You’re missing out on using anchor bias! Display "compare at prices" throughout your store to make it look like users are getting a better deal.

  3. Highlight Offers: If you’re running offers, make them stand out on the product page. It’s a great way to attract more clicks on the “Add to Cart” button.

  4. After Pay Positioning: Since you already have After Pay, it would be a good idea to display it closer to the "Add to Cart" button. It reassures shoppers about payment flexibility and could encourage them to purchase sooner.

  5. Add Payment Icons: Adding payment method icons (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, PayPal) on the product pages builds trust with your customers and gives them a sense of security when purchasing.

Collection Pages:

  1. Background Color: The background on your collection page cards is too overpowering, distracting from the products themselves. Opt for a lighter tone to make the products pop.

  2. Congestion Issue: The layout feels congested, making it hard for customers to focus. Try adding more space between the product cards to make it more breathable.

  3. Compare at Price: Again, displaying compare at prices on collection pages can help customers quickly see what deals they're getting.


Site-Wide Color Contrast:

I noticed the color contrast across the site, particularly the text on light backgrounds (like white on pastel colors), makes readability a bit challenging. Consider increasing the contrast between text and background for a better user experience.

I saw your website, the products are excellent specially books, i would suggest make a bundle box with a book and children's clothing and socks in it it will be big transaction order too
