Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello every one
I opened my website on 11th August this year. I did a couple of commercials such as Facebook and Google Search ads.
However, the sales so far are completely 0 even though there have been 603 sessions. Seems like most of the people just look at a homepage and leave.
I wonder what is the problem.
If you give me honest and constructive feedback, it would be really helpful. Please share your thoughts.
Thank you in advance!

This is an accepted solution.
This is Richard Nguyen - CRO Expert from PageFly- Advanced Page Builder. I have to say that I am amazed by how beautiful and professional your store looks and bet you must have put a lot of effort into it. I just have a few comments to give and hope it would make your store even better.
Basically, your store has many good points:
- Very nice product images.
- Sticky header helps customer reach out to the menu and access the menu anytime they want.
- The layout is very reasonable and good-looking.
- Clear about Shipping and Refund policy.
Besides these things, I have some comments and suggestions for you:
About Homepage:
1. Reduce white space on Home Page.
Home Page is the first impressions to customer, then you can leverage it to bring in the most stunning and good-looking sections. Too much whitespace can make a page look lazy and bland. It can cause a reader to zone out, rather than capturing their attention.
One suggestion is that you can replace white space by something such as Call-to-action buttons. It can get customer react to your website, moreover can raise the conversion rates.
About Collection Page, you should:
1. Bring in Color Variants and Customer Star ratings for each product right in Collection Page.
- About the Color Variants:
Color variations are key factors in your product type - Clothing. Users who are not familiar with a product range won’t know which items have “hidden” color options and will assume that what they see is what they get, namely that the products they see in the product list are the only ones available. And if the colors of the products they see are not suitable or interesting, they may abandon the site and look elsewhere. This can be one of the reason for current low conversion rates.
The solution here is that you can try to display Color Variants for each product right in Product list (recommended in right above Product Title)
- About User Ratings:
It is proved that customers do not only look at the price, but also the star ratings, with the number of reviews it has. Showing the number of ratings can also help boost the credibility of the site, particularly when the count is high, or if users are unfamiliar with a site.
You can try to put Star Ratings and the number of ratings right below the Product price.
Example about Color Variant and Star Ratings to be displayed:
2. Bring in CTA Button for each product.
CTA button leads to visitor conversion and helps you boost your click-through rate. The better your click-through rate, the better your ranking in search engine result pages. Because CTA is a key element on your website, it allows the user to know what to do next. If a CTA is written within the content, your conversion rate will increase by over 120%. So, without a good implemented CTA, the user may not know the next steps to take and is most likely to leave the site without accomplishing their task.
In this case, you can try to bring in Buy Now button for your Product.
3. Great to add Product Filters.
The fact is, only a small proportion of online shoppers arrive at a store knowing exactly what they’re looking for. In fact, one study found that just 30% of online shoppers begin their visit with a search. The majority are “just browsing,” researching what’s out there so they can evaluate their options.
This is where product filtering comes into play. Filtering can improve user experience, increase product views, and, ultimately, boost conversions in your store.
Currently I see you are having a part for Filter. However there is not any real filter that customer can apply. This filter can be Price, Color,...
And that's my feedbacks, if you want to do more customization for your store to increase conversion rate, you can consider using a Shopify page builder. And PageFly, Advanced Page Builder with 24/7 support live chat is a great app that helps you easily customize your Shopify pages and make it more attractive.

Hello @propel
Hope you are doing good. Your store looks very nice and here are few suggestions.
Increase the font size of Menu on the Header section.
Add Testimonials or reviews on the homepage to build trust with the visitors.
Increase Blog posting which will allow you to show your followers a personal side of your business. In this way you can engage with Existing and New customers.
You can promote your products with word of mouth strategy. Boost your sales with the app from the shopify app store which helps to increase your sales further. Improve your conversions by directly reaching those who close to your customers.
There is no terms and conditions checkbox at checkout. I suggest you to install an app from shopify app store which provides 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' before checkout .As it makes easy for the customer to read your terms and policies.
You can also sell your products on Etsy marketplace as it is very good platform to sell unique, handmade and Vintage goods . If you are already selling on Etsy store consider our Etsy Integration app in the shopify app store. Etsy is a Huge marketplace, if you have any unique or Handmade product in your store, you can give further exposure to your products.
This is an accepted solution.

Hi @propel,
Congrats on your new Shopify store and hope you will soon get more sales. Here are my suggestions for you:
1. Use the live chat feature
Firstly, I think you should actively communicate with the site visitors to show your dedicated support and get more sales quickly. According to Shopify, "merchants that respond to a customer's chat within 5 minutes are 69% more likely to get a sale from the shopper." Therefore, live chat is an ideal communication channel between you and your potential customers. If you would like to integrate a chat box with your site visitors, please check out Tidio & Reamaze.
2. Follow who abandonded their carts
Patience is the key to success. Not everyone will make the purchase immediately when visiting your website. People can check products or only add items to their carts. Thus, I suggest you should keep following the site visitors who abandoned their carts via email and converting them into your customers. To help you with this, I suggest you should check Klaviyo and Avada.
3. Make the text in the CTA button bigger
The texts in CTA buttons on your homepage are kind of small. Try to increase its size and make it bold to catch the viewer's attention more effectively.
4. Add the wishlist
Wishlist is a helpful eCommerce tool that shows the collection of items that the site visitors love. It helps potential customers save their favorite products for later shopping. Next time, they can revisit your website and select the items that they saved before => enhance the convenience. A wishlist app will also have email feature that can remind customers of their 'Wishlist' options. If you would like to have one, you can take a look at Wishify.
Lastly, if suggest you want to optimize your store more effectively, then you can view PageFly. They can help you with this.
Hope these help.

Hello @propel
Hope you are doing well.
I understand how it can be frustrating to be doing everything right but still not getting your traffic converted to sales. You may find comfort in knowing that you're not the only one on that boat. Millions of Shopify store owners are facing the same problem. This is not because you are necessarily doing something wrong, but rather because Sales is an organic process, involving people getting to know you, visiting your brand, looking at your products, comparing them with others, and finally making the decision to purchase from you. So this takes some time, during which you have to hold on tight. But, you can't be just passively waiting for sales to grow, so I would recommend you look at these tips and see which ones you can use: You have great faith in your online shop, but why aren’t visitors converting?
Another Thing you could consider: Not all traffic is good traffic.
Traffic will only have any chance of converting to sales if they are being generated by the right consumer. If your product is for females under the age of 30, but your ads are being viewed by males over 50, that is a lot of traffic, but it will never convert to sales. So, before you spend on targeting, a good idea is to have a simple Google Trends search, that will tell you who is looking for the products you search, what is their age, gender and location. Then you can put forward some really targeted ads that are bound to generate clicks.
Here are some areas where you could consider working on
People tend to buy more from people they can easily relate to. If you share your journey, your goals, and your aspirations with your customers, it will be easier for people to connect with you. If you can create an emotional connection with your visitors, people are sure to buy products from you.
It is a good idea to place a banner on the homepage that tells your customers exactly what they are looking for. You may add a separate banner for each of your product types
Your banner looks very good and matches your theme and product.
It is a good idea to have multiple slides on your banner (each should stay for around 5seconds) for each product type and have the CTA buttons for each slide redirect the customer to a different product page.
A good idea is to have your newsletter as a popup so that it shows up when the customer enters the home page. This will make it more visible and attract more people to your newsletter from where you can target more interested people.
You will be surprised how much you can benefit from a chatbot. It can collect your necessary customer data, help you analyze which stuffs are trending or in more demand, and overall solve your problems by answering common questions so you won't have to.
Hope this helps you. If you find it useful, leave a like to let me know! Happy Selling! Thank you and the Very Best of Luck to you!
Dear propel
I visited your store and I found it really great. your ideas about protecting the environment and animals attracted me as well as I have some suggestions for you:
1) I think you should bold your goals for saving the animals and the environment and make your ads around these issues on social media.
2) I think you should bring the categories' bar to the top of your homepage because some customers may miss seeing them.
3) why don’t you try bundling your products?!
that would help you to present your products more attractive and on the other hand, it has many profits for both you and the customers. also, the different prices between before bundling and after that would attract people to buy and save their money.
here in our app that is featured for bundling your products, you can visit it and it gives you the experience of using its features without paying money.
check it out and enjoy it.

Hi @propel,
This is UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing - We are the no.1 Affiliate marketing on Shopify app store.
I am happy here to share some experience and suggestions for your online store. And I truly hope that they are useful and helpful for you in improving your sales performance.
I totally you are just starting your business. Firstly, congratulation for your first step. It would be hard at the beginning. Most other business would be same as you when beginning, and now they are successful. So be patient!
With the marketing strategy, you should spend first priority to find the methods which brings positive results with no risky and low cost. It much better for you at this time. Running ads such as Facebook ads, Instagram ads, even Google ads are popular methods to viral your products faster. However, you should consider it because it is not really a potential choice for starters. The reason is that you might cost a lost of money to run for long term. In some specific case, if it don't bring positive traffics for you, you also need to pay fee to maintain them. We know it because we know many customers get same issues.
My recommendation is that you should think about another safer and suitable methods for your business. Affiliate marketing could be a good option for your. Affiliate marketing is a marketing model which allows you to connect with various affiliates, and then they will use their advertising sources such as social media channels, websites, blogs, etc, to promote your products. You only need to pay affiliate commission whenever a customer makes a purchase via the unique link or coupon associated with their recommendation.
Why using Affiliate Marketing helps to boost sales?
Low investment but high cost effective
In fact, affiliate marketing does not need a huge amount to build a customer service team, or running advertising. This campaign helps to mitigate any risks that drive traffic or run social ads with little or no result for your Shopify business, while also ensuring that merchants achieve what they pay for.
In fact, whereas a poor marketing campaign that sends you low quality results will still need to be paid for, even if you make no sales. However, affiliate marketing ensures your marketing is cost effective and helps to reduce the risk of “leaking out” money for an uncertain market.
Here are our recommendation to push your sales with affiliate marketing:
1. Offer a competitive commission
When setting the commission rules, make sure that it is compatible with your market (not too low or too high in comparison with your competitors).
You can setup your commission structure for each commission program. for example you can pay your affiliate percentage of sale, flat rate per order, or flat rate per item.
Via UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing, beside setting program commission, you can also set special commission rules for specific products that might be useful for promoting products with higher/lower price or higher/lower profit margins. Merchant can make use of this feature by offering a higher commission rate for the product you want to drive more sales.
2. Generate coupon code:
A lot of shoppers search for coupons to see if it's a chance they can save some money upon purchasing. Thus, assigning a coupon code for your affiliates can both bring benefits to the customers and help your members to convince the consumers to buy from them.
Moreover, a discount coupon can be easily shared and remembered, which is useful for social media promotion. Also, you can freely set a coupon rule, not limited by just percentage discount, it can be fixed amount discount, Free shipping, Buy X get Y,...
Plus, you have an option to assign multiple coupons for each affiliate, which helps them with numerous options to support your brand. Coupon code within UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing can be assigned manually or automatically.
Studies have shown that in sales positions, high performers are responsible for producing 67% more revenue than other average performers. That's why focusing on high-quality affiliates is so important to grow your affiliate campaign sustainably.
5. Offer higher commission rate for outstanding affiliates
On the other hand, you can motivate your team by moving them to a different program once they reach a proper level (such as referring 1000 orders successfully). As affiliates sell more, they earn more. It is a simple but very effective way to encourage affiliates to promote your products or services.
A clear tier system will encourage the affiliate to drive more conversion to your brand, a tier model could look like this:
0 – 1000 referrals = 20% commission
1000– 2000 referrals = 25% commission
2000– 5000 referrals = 30% commission
5000+ referrals = 35% commission
You can use UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing to build your own auto-tier commission rule easily.
I hope my recommendation will be helpful for you. If you are still looking for a marketing tool to boost your sales greatly, I hope you can try our product: UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing.
