I am writing to express a significant concern that I have noticed has been a major request since I started using Shopify back in 2018.

I am genuinely puzzled as to why this feature wasn't one of the core functionalities when Shopify was initially developed. This is an essential aspect that greatly impacts the user experience, and its absence has been quite challenging.

Please prioritize this feature update at the top of your list. It is crucial that this feature is simple and easy to use, avoiding any frustrating workarounds. Moreover, it should not be an additional app that we need to purchase. Considering Shopify is a retail sales app, this functionality should come as a standard feature.

Thank you for your understanding and prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to seeing this feature implemented soon, enhancing the overall efficiency and user satisfaction.

Hi @bk8katie

Unfortunately, Shopify does not currently offer a built-in feature to print barcodes directly from Purchase Orders (POs). However, here are two straightforward solutions:

1-Use Shopify's Retail Barcode Labels App (Free):

  • Install the app from the Shopify App Store.
  • Manually add products to your inventory after receiving the PO and then generate and print barcodes.

2-Third-Party Apps (Paid Options):

  • Apps like Stocky (for Shopify POS Pro) or others may help streamline the process. These can integrate with purchase orders but typically come with additional costs.

You can also submit feedback directly to Shopify through Settings > Feedback to request this feature.

If you have other questions, feel free to ask, and I will answer them as well.

Best regards,
Daisy
