Feedback for your online store from the community
Good evening! It’s been nearly a week since I launched my website, and I’ve been seeing some traffic after running a few Facebook and Instagram ads.
I’d really appreciate it if someone could give me an honest review of the store and provide constructive feedback.
[REDACTED]
A few customers have added items to their carts, but no one has completed a purchase yet. I’ve spent a lot of time fine-tuning the design and making it more user-friendly. The concept is simple: customers can order online with paypal for now and im doing free shipping worldwide
Please let me know if there’s anything that needs to be changed, removed, or improved. I truly appreciate your input. Thank you so much!

Hi @Relaxify
Regarding aesthetics, I won't comment too much, but I will give you some technical espects:
1. The inconsistency in color might not be user-friendly. https://prnt.sc/jduzgwOVFFsD
2. The white color on the cards can feel a bit glaring and overly prominent, while the width of the cards is somewhat small.https://prnt.sc/AJSYlftvrfbM
3. I notice that there is no favicon setup yet, leading to Google will not highly regard websites that have not been indexed and lack a favicon, resulting in lower rankings in search. https://prnt.sc/j-JzRhVsvQWB
4. On the homepage, the title is too short; it should be around 50-60 characters to compliant with SEO standards.
5. The description on the homepage is missing. It might need to be added. https://prnt.sc/mhf_BRxHzIai
6. There is no content in the H1 tag.
7. The H2 tag has content that is not related to SEO : https://prnt.sc/Y8krblN2MjzP

Hey @Relaxify ! Congrats on launching your store—it’s exciting to see traffic coming in already. You’ve got a solid foundation with free worldwide shipping and PayPal checkout, but I get how frustrating it is when people add to their carts but don’t complete the purchase. No worries! Here are some tips to help you convert those visitors into buyers.
1. Optimize reviews
It’s great that you’ve got a review section, but the layout could be better. Right now, the blocks look a bit messy. Try apps like:
- Judge.me: Affordable and easy to use.
- Loox: Excellent for photo and video reviews.
- Stamped.io: Great for customization.
Video reviews, if possible, would be a game-changer for trust. Also, long product descriptions push reviews too far down the page—use collapsible tabs to make everything easier to navigate.
2. Add a favicon
A favicon (the small icon in the browser tab) is missing, and it’s a quick win! It makes your store look more professional and helps with branding. You can set it up in Shopify in just a few minutes.
3. Fix the homepage banner
The banner is too tall, so visitors have to scroll to see products. Reducing its height will bring key info above the fold. Also, the image of the bed doesn’t really grab attention. Swap it for something like candles, spa tools, or calming nature scenes. Update your CTA too—something like “Shop Relaxation Tools Today” works better than “Shop Now.”
4. Upgrade product images & add trust badges
Your product images are pretty basic. Add lifestyle shots, close-ups, and angles that show the product in use. Trust badges like “Secure Checkout” or “Certified Safe” can also help build confidence, especially for health-related products.
5. Improve navigation
The navigation bar feels cluttered, with categories spread across two lines. Simplify it with dropdown menus and clearer categories like “Aromatherapy” or “Pain Relief Tools.” This makes it easier for customers to browse.
6. Address cart abandonment
If customers are adding items but not buying, try these:
- Exit popups offering a discount or freebie to encourage them to stay.
- Abandoned cart emails using tools like Shopify Email or Klaviyo to remind them to check out.
- Display trust signals like “Secure PayPal Payments” during checkout.
It’s normal for new stores to have low conversion rates at first—don’t worry too much! Start with quick fixes like the favicon and banner, then focus on reviews and navigation. Keep experimenting, and you’ll see progress soon. Good luck, and feel free to ask if you need more tips!

Hey Tracy,
Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain everything so clearly. I’ve already added the favicon, and I’m still working on updating the homepage banner, but it’ll be done soon. I’d prefer not to install too many apps to keep the site fast, but video reviews are definitely a great idea!
I’m curious—how can I improve my SEO and make my store more visible on Google?
Thanks again for the support! I’ll keep you updated on my progress.
Best,
Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. I have viewed your website and hope our expertise can help you.
Getting customers to add items to their carts is a positive sign, but converting that interest into sales is the next crucial step. One effective way to enhance customer trust and encourage purchases is by adding a customer review section. Utilizing Shopify apps like Judge.Me can help you seamlessly integrate reviews into your site. Customer reviews are vital as they provide social proof, allowing potential buyers to see that others have had positive experiences with your products. This can significantly influence their decision-making process, leading to increased sales.
In addition to building trust through reviews, consider implementing retargeting campaigns. These campaigns are particularly effective because they focus on users who have previously visited your site but did not complete a purchase. By reminding them of the products they viewed or added to their cart, you can reignite their interest and encourage them to return and finalize their purchase. Retargeting is distinct from dynamic ads in that it specifically targets users based on their past interactions with your site, which often yields a better ROAS. This approach allows you to tailor your messaging and offers based on user behavior, making it more likely for them to convert.
To manage these retargeting efforts more efficiently, consider using our Ako Marketing app. The app not only simplifies the setup of retargeting campaigns but also integrates with Judge.me, ensuring that customer reviews are prominently featured in your marketing efforts. By combining these strategies you can create a more compelling shopping experience that encourages visitors to complete their purchases. Keep fine-tuning your website based on customer feedback and data insights, and you'll likely see improvements in both engagement and sales over time.
Best wishes! If you have any more questions or need a free professional consultation, feel free to let us know! Don't forget to like and mark it as a solution if you find this helpful.
Hey Wayne,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your insights! I appreciate you taking the time to review my store. I agree that building trust is key, and I’ve already added a customer review section using Loox to showcase photo reviews and build more credibility.
Retargeting campaigns sound like a smart strategy to bring back visitors who didn’t complete their purchases. I’ll definitely check out the Ako Marketing app to see how it can help streamline that process and integrate reviews into my marketing.
Also, I’m interested in improving my store’s SEO to make it more visible on Google. Do you have any tips or services that could help with that?
Thanks again for the helpful advice! I’ll keep working on improving the store and might reach out for that free consultation soon.

Hi Esther,
Thanks for the valuable feedback! I really appreciate you pointing out those technical aspects. Here’s what I’m planning to do based on your suggestions:
1. I’ll work on making the color scheme more consistent across the site.
2. I’ll adjust the card colors and width to make them more user-friendly and less glaring.
3. The favicon is now set up, so that should help improve SEO rankings.
4. I’ll adjust the homepage title to make sure it’s 50–60 characters for SEO compliance.
5. I’ll add a description on the homepage as soon as possible.
6. I’ll update the H1 tag with relevant content and keywords.
7. I’ll also review the H2 tag content to make sure it’s SEO-friendly.
Regarding colors, do you have any specific suggestions on what color schemes you think would work better for my site? Also, if you have any recommendations for improving the H2 tag or ideas for the homepage description, I’d love to hear them!
Thanks again for your help, and I look forward to your suggestions!
Best,
- Issue with green contrast and white text (readability)
- Your products on landing page seem to have a strange format. Please try viewing your store in multiple zoom ratios through your browser to get what Im talking about.
- I would say embed more social proof or more videos/tutorialss of products on product page to improve your conversion rates.
