Good afternoon all 

Been trading since Sept 1st and in that time had 1 sale! and that was from a friend who's just done me a favour.

I have been running Google Ads/Facebook Ads Pinterest ads - paid for traffic from Fiverr. and although the traffic is pretty good

my conversions are ZERO!

I need to get this off the ground as it's costing me money to pay Shopify each month and no ROI whatsoever! 

Please look at my store and tell me where I am going wrong

Hope you are doing good. Your store looks nice and here are few suggestions.

Make the Favicon bit larger, as it helps to find your store when customer had multiple tabs in their browser.

Try another background color for header section.so that rest of the page flows better.

Add few products from different collections with ATC(add to cart), on the Homepage.

Its very hard to see Description, ATC(add to cart) on the product page due to background color.

Update contact us page with more contact details and add it to footer section.

Make social links open on new tab.

Add Testimonials or reviews on the homepage to build trust with the visitors.

Include Blog page, Blog posting will allow you to show your followers a personal side of your business. In this way you can engage with Existing and New customers.

You can promote your products with word of mouth strategy. Boost your sales with the app from the shopify app store   which helps to increase your sales.

There is no terms and conditions checkbox at checkout. I suggest you to install an app from shopify app store which provides 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' before checkout .As it makes easy for the customer to read your terms and policies.

You can also sell your products on Etsy marketplace as it is very good platform to sell unique, handmade and Vintage goods . If you are already selling on Etsy store consider our Etsy Integration app in the shopify app store. Etsy is a Huge marketplace for selling creative goods such as art & collectibles, crafts & supplies, jewellery &accessories and more,  if you have any unique/handmade/vintage goods in your store, you can give further exposure to your products.

Hope you are doing well.

I understand how it can be frustrating to be doing everything right but still not getting your traffic converted to sales. You may find comfort in knowing that you're not the only one on that boat. Millions of Shopify store owners are facing the same problem. This is not because you are necessarily doing something wrong, but rather because Sales is an organic process, involving people getting to know you, visiting your brand, looking at your products, comparing them with others, and finally making the decision to purchase from you. So this takes some time, during which you have to hold on tight. But, you can't be just passively waiting for sales to grow, so I would recommend you look at these tips and see which ones you can use: You have great faith in your online shop, but why aren’t visitors converting?

Another Thing you could consider: Not all traffic is good traffic.

Traffic will only have any chance of converting to sales if they are being generated by the right consumer. If your product is for females under the age of 30, but your ads are being viewed by males over 50, that is a lot of traffic, but it will never convert to sales. So, before you spend on targeting, a good idea is to have a simple Google Trends search, that will tell you who is looking for the products you search, what is their age, gender and location. Then you can put forward some really targeted ads that are bound to generate clicks.

Also, It is a good idea to place a banner on the homepage that tells your customers exactly what they are looking for. You may add a separate banner for each of your product types

Your banner looks very good and matches your theme and product.

It is a good idea to have multiple slides on your banner (each should stay for around 5seconds) for each product type and have the CTA buttons for each slide redirect the customer to a different product page.

Hi Paul,

If you are getting traffic to your website but no conversion then it comes down to 2 reasons.

  1. Garbage in, garbage out. If the traffic comes from those who are not your right target audience, then they are not going to convert. Additionally, Click bots can be used to inflate the number of your website traffic. Read more here: https://www.cloudflare.com/en-au/learning/bots/what-is-click-fraud/
  2. Your website design is not optimized for e-commerce:
    • Colour Scheme: You used black and yellow as your main colours. This brings the feeling of elegance and luxury (suitable for Jewellery, Fashion stores). I don't think it matches with the products you sell. If this is your personal preference, I suggest you visit https://www.chanel.com/au/ to get references from the Channel combination of colours. Btw, Yellow Text on Black Background (or Black text on Yellow background) makes it difficult for an average Joe to read.     • Banner Image: is for showing your products or promotions, not a stock image. Also, add a clear sentence of what you sell like "Discover a wide range of products/gifts from Phone Cases to Notebooks"
    • The Button on the banner should be "SHOP NOW" or "Discover our products" instead of viewing "full catalogue", and it should link straight to the ALL PRODUCT page instead of making the user click 1 more time to go to a specific product range. LIMIT the number of steps it takes for the user to go to your product.
    • After the Banner, you should show the featured product straight away and then show the product range, collections.
    • Don't use "Please" in the section for newsletter sign up. It sounds desperate and lowers your store credibility. Instead: "SIGN UP TO OUR VIP LIST TO GET ALL OUR EXCLUSIVE OFFERS BEFORE ANYONE ELSE! Subscribe to get early access to exclusive offers and promotions." And the button should just be a form to put the email address and click subscribe.
       
       
    • Add Reviews and Testimonials to your homepage. Even if you have none, ask your friends, relatives to give you a review!

2.1 The Navigation bar should be sticky

People will be able to explore a webpage in a more comfortable and regulated manner if it has a sticky navigation bar. Moreover, your image on the hero banner is so beautiful that you should make it clearer instead of hiding it behind a box or using transparent background to make sure that all texts can be seen . 2.2 Always add core products on Homepage

It's critical to show key product characteristics to persuade consumers to explore the site further, the homepage shouldn't become a "product page lite," since too much particular product information could overload certain people. If you want to display in chessboard style, I recommend putting the elements closer to prevent spaces between each section.

2.3 Add Core Brand information

Promotion banners are useful, but they would be more appealing to buyers if they were placed in larger and separate sections.

Free shipping, return policies, and any warranty or guarantee information can further positively influence users' perceptions of the site or brand, reassuring them that it is trustworthy. The Homepage is an excellent area to showcase such policies in a clear and straightforward manner. Such information, which is top of mind for many users, can assist develop trust and inspire consumers to explore the site further. As an example, consider our Comfy Template:

 2.4 Display products with CTA button

It is great to use a "Grid View" that makes product thumbnails large enough for test subjects to appropriately evaluate the products' aesthetics directly from the product list, resulting in a low number of product page detours.

However, all the prices should be added “Call to action” buttons to boost the conversion rate. Moreover, it would be great if the prices can be displayed in a more attractive color.

2.5 Shorten Product Description:

Your description contained both features and benefits. Features are important, but benefits have more persuasive power. They answer the question “What’s in it for the user?” Long is necessary to address the main features of the product and a brief overview of its benefits to the consumer.

However, it would be better if they are able to be seen in just one screen.

Last but not least, here are my other recommendations for you, feel free to consider them applied to your store:

  • Add Testimonials section or include both the user rating average and number of rating : When you combine client testimonials with other efficient marketing strategies, your message is instantly amplified to its maximum potential.
  • Use “Load more” instead of pagination : A "Load More" button enables users to decide whether they need to see more products, and also to have all products viewed in one page. 
  • Add product core features: Sometimes, customers don't care about prices but the unique selling points for example, made environmentally friendly materials or cruelty- free. It's critical to share essential characteristics that can be highlighted on the homepage. This allows users to comprehend the brand's most valuable characteristics before committing to browsing products.
