Ruining a specific, but basic report.

Before the recent update to the reports and analytics page I was able to run a monthly report which showed me the following, item sold, price sold at, Shopify fees, postage fees and what I was left with. I think it was called Net sales by order.

Since the update I don’t have this ability, or I cant see it. I have tried to create a report myself, however I don’t seem to be able to add the option to show the Shopify fees per transaction.

Basically, I need a report which will show me the breakdown of the final figure for each sale, for example 

Item sold £10 Shopify fees £1 leaving £9 Postage £1.50 = I got paid £10.50

To generate a report similar to your old Net Sales by Order report after the recent Shopify updates, follow these steps:

1-Custom Reports via Analytics:

• Go to Analytics > Reports in your Shopify admin.
• Check the available standard reports. If "Net sales by order" is missing, proceed to create a custom report.

2-Custom Report Creation:

• Navigate to Analytics > Reports > Create custom report (requires Shopify plan or higher).
• Add data fields for:
• Item sold (Product Name/Title)
• Gross Sales or Net Sales
• Shopify Fees (available if using Shopify Payments)
• Shipping Fees
• Postage Fees (if integrated with Shopify Shipping or manually entered as a custom field).

3-Workaround for Shopify Fees:

• Shopify Payments transaction fees are visible under Settings > Payments > Shopify Payments > View payouts. Export this data and cross-reference with sales data to calculate Shopify fees manually.

4-Export Data:

• Use the Export option under Orders > Export Orders to download a CSV file.
• Add a manual column for Shopify fees if not automatically included.

5-Third-Party Apps:

• If native reports don’t suffice, use third-party apps like Better Reports or Report Pundit, which allow detailed breakdowns, including fees.
