I never used shopify was looking through it. Didn't even realize i was getting charged $16 a month for the past 3 months for this. Recently was charged $445 OUT OF NO WHERE FOR NO REASON. NOW I CANT GET A CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER OR EMAIL TO FILE MY COMPLAINTT OR ATTEMPT TO GET A REFUND. SHOPIFY IS A SCAM.  THIS IS INSANITY AND I am not the only person this has happened too

I'm sorry to hear that you've been receiving unexpected charges. Have you been emailed bills relating to these amounts? If so, your bill will breakdown the charges. However, it sounds like there was a drastic jump in the amount you were being charged, which is unusual if you haven't been using the account. I understand that must have been alarming, and I want to make sure that you're able to resolve this.


To clarify, when you sign up for a free trial, you're only charged once the trial ends if you have selected a plan. Subscription billing is automatic and based on the plan you selected, so the subscription amount would not change unless the store was active and other charges were incurred (such as app subscriptions or shipping costs). 


If you're able to login, you can follow the steps outlined on this page to close the account: Cancel your subscription and deactivate your Shopify store. If you can't login, please relay that to the virtual assistant in the Shopify Help Center so it can redirect you to speak with a Support Advisor.
