Hello Shopify Community,

I'm reaching out to this knowledgeable community for some feedback on my Shopify site. I’ve been working hard on it, but I believe there’s always room for improvement, and who better to ask than fellow Shopify enthusiasts and experts?

About My Site:

  • My store specializes in fashion accessories. For now just earrings and necklaces

Request for Feedback:

  • General Site Design: How does the overall look and feel of the site come across? Are there any design elements that could be improved?
  • User Experience: Is the navigation intuitive? How is the overall shopping experience from a user’s perspective?
  • Product Presentation: Are the product descriptions clear and informative? Do the images effectively showcase the products?
  • Mobile Responsiveness: Does the site function well on mobile devices?
  • Any other aspects you think are crucial for a successful Shopify store.

You can visit my site here: shoplibrastudio.com

Any insights, constructive criticism, or tips you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I’m open to all suggestions that can help improve my store and provide a better experience for my customers.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help!

Warm regards, Alejandra

Hi Shoplibrastudio,

This is Amee from Gojiberry - Shopify Survey & Feedback App

I thought your site looked stylish and had a nice vibe. I felt that the banners could be simpler to crate a more elegant look. I took a look at your store and have a few suggestions that will help increase conversion rate:

1. Testimonials. Showcasing a few testimonials on your home page -- whether from online customers or family/friends, helps promote more consumer trust and confidence.
2. Revamping detail pictures. I like that some of your product has a model wearing the earing when you hover over them. I am sure you are working on this already, would be great to see more examples like this.
3. Connect social media. Since you have a visual product and an active instagram/tiktok, why not connect the feed to your website? Research shows that 76% of customers buy products seen on social media posts.
4.  Adding a blog. Adding some stories and content about your brand, your concepts etc would make the shopping experience special and also help draw in your target customers.
5. Ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) When you have some converting customers, ask them how they found out about your shop. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.

Lastly, I think you have some code errors on the site that is showing above.

Hope this helps!

The Ultimate 12 Best Practices to Growing Your Shopify Store

Hi Alejandra @shoplibrastudio

I’m Garcia, a CRO expert from PageFly - Advanced Page Builder app.

Your store looks really exquisite and has that refined vibe. Love that! Like you said, it could use some more improvements so here I’ll drop some suggestions to implement on your storefront:

1/ General

  • You’re using what seems to be Consolas font for your secondary texts. If you like it, you can leave it as is. But it might exude a more “tech-y” vibe to your store, which has a primarily luxurious look and feel (if you know coding, you might know Consolas font). Consider switching to another font for better page presentation; I suggest Fertigo font.

  • Page speed matters. Especially on mobile. On desktop, your store racks up a 93/100 performance score which is really good; but on mobile, it’s 45/100 as of this post. Consider going to Google’s PageSpeed and perform necessary practices to increase your page’s loading speed.

2/ For the Homepage

  • Decrease header size: Your current header is taking unnecessary space, since it doesn’t have a navigation menu. Consider reducing your header height to about ⅔ of what it is now

PageFlyGarcia_3-1702955380570.png

  • Optimize hero banner: Hero banner should be the star of the show. It captures the attention of visitors the moment they enter your store. Therefore, it should highlight the best your store can offer by displaying your premier product(s) in a singular image layout, instead of the current layout which even includes both images and a video.

Also, consider center-aligning your text and CTA button, too.

  • Add headings to sections: Some of your sections don’t have headings, which can cause confusion for your visitors as they don’t know what you’re gonna introduce them next. Consider adding headings to these sections.

  • Add more sections: Your visitors might just enter your homepage and exit. So, seize every chance to display your store’s offerings right on your homepage so that they are intrigued to continue browsing. Consider adding an About us section, a benefit section, a testimonials section and an FAQ section.

Here’s an example homepage template of ours:

  • Faulty code lines: There is a faulty code line on your homepage. And it is even scattered across your other pages, too. Consider removing it.

3/ For the Collection page

  • Make consistent collection pages: After scouring through several collection pages, one thing I noticed was that you have distinct layouts across your collection pages. Consider making them consistent by having banners with fixed size and format, same product layouts, etc.

One good approach to this is you make one collection page then duplicate for the rest.

  • Avoid pagination: For pages with lots of products, it makes sense to break down to pages. However, we generally avoid pagination so that our customers can view all products with ease, not having to perform many actions. Consider having this as an auto “Load more” feature as you scroll.

PageFlyGarcia_8-1702955891305.png

  • Add users’ star ratings and number of star ratings: To increase trustability, consider implementing star ratings below each product, too.

PageFlyGarcia_9-1702955913533.png

4/ For the Product page

  • Use color swatches instead of text-based dropdown menus: If your products have multiple color variants, it’s best to display them in color swatches so that your customers have a clue of how it’s going to look. Plain text won’t describe as well.
  • Add secondary images: Consider having secondary images below your product’s main image so that your visitors have a full picture of your products in use. Best images for this category can be your product from different angles, a model trying that product on, etc.
  • Add product’s description, trust badges and other info: Consider implementing a brief description of the product, trust badges so that your visitors know what they benefit from purchasing your products, and other info like size chart, cleaning guides, etc.

Here’s an example product page template of ours:

PageFlyGarcia_10-1702955955155.png

  • Add customers’ reviews: Right below your product, you can add a customers’ reviews section to increase trust for that specific product. It is also a way for your past customers to share their thoughts on their purchases, too.

5/ Don’t miss out on holiday seasons

Christmas is nearing. And you don’t want to miss this time to skyrocket your sales as traffic these days is potentially at an all-time high. Consider implementing these onto your storefront.

  • Add a discount timer: Aim at your customers’ FOMO by adding a discount timer that urges them to make purchasing decisions.
  • Update your announcement bar: On the top of your homepage, there is an announcement bar which is a wonderful place to make it Christmas-themed and have it feature your store’s holiday offerings.
  • Update your hero banner: Have a promotional banner that showcases your Christmas-themed products, discounts and so much more.

Wishing you the best of luck with your store-building journey. And Merry Christmas to you! 🎄

Cheers,

Garcia | PageFly Team
