Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi Shopify Community,
I launched my store in August 2024 (www.linerya.com), and despite optimizing it for SEO, I’m still struggling to get conversions. On average, I receive 15-30 visits daily, but no sales yet.
Here’s a bit about my store:
Is it normal for a new store to have this level of traffic and no conversions? What are some actionable tips I can implement to turn visitors into buyers?
I’d also love some feedback on my store's design, user experience, or marketing strategy. Any suggestions on where I could improve would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @LBarbosa, I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.
Just visited your store and I think you’ve chosen a great niche! Demand for personalized and customized products is steadily increasing as people gravitate toward items that feel uniquely made just for them. Based on product expertise, here are some suggestions for improvement:
1. Choose a better background image
When selling personalized or custom products, remember that you’re not just selling the product itself—you’re selling an emotional connection. Customers want to feel like this is a one-of-a-kind, precious item crafted specifically for them. Or, if it’s a gift, they want it to convey love and thoughtfulness to the recipient. To tap into this, choose a background image that showcases your most unique products and emphasizes these emotional values. Highlight messaging that speaks directly to your customers’ desires and pain points to transform how they perceive your offerings.
2. Revamp the 'How It Works' section
The current slider format in this section makes it difficult for customers to get a clear, quick overview. Having to click through multiple slides or wait for the autoplay can be frustrating and time-consuming for someone just browsing. Consider switching to a layout that displays all the steps at once, making it easy for visitors to grasp how your customization process works at a glance. This small change could improve user experience significantly. You can take a look at this design for reference:
3. About your SEO strategy
While your efforts with meta descriptions, alt text, and keywords are on the right track, their effectiveness depends heavily on your overall keyword strategy. Success in SEO often means ranking in the top five results for your target keywords, so that’s a good benchmark to aim for. If you’re not there yet, I’d recommend consulting with an eCommerce SEO expert. They can offer more targeted and practical advice to help you improve your visibility and organic traffic.
That’s it for now! If you have any questions or want to discuss further, feel free to reach out. Good luck!

I would be happy to review your website and provide feedback on the performance. Here are my recommendations to improve your conversion rate:
1. Monitor Your Cart Abandonment Rate
A high cart abandonment rate can be particularly frustrating for your business, especially after investing significantly in attracting visitors to your site. This issue indicates that many potential customers are deciding not to complete their purchases, contributing to low conversion rates.
To address this, you can remind customers about the items left in their carts and encourage them to complete their purchases by:
2. Improve SEO
Taking the time to ensure your web pages are properly optimized can help increase your organic traffic, meaning more potential customers browsing your products. SEO strategies can drive site traffic to your Shopify website effectively.
For an average small e-commerce store, you should get at least 1000 visitors per month to start having a stable source for sales.
Here are some basic elements you should check:
Title Tags & Meta Descriptions:
