Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello
I have had my store for a few years. I have minimal sales. I have tried the consistent marketing, e-mails etc. My questions is is there any place within Shopify or trusted third party that can evaluate my site. Help with updated theme, marketing etc.? Hopefully that doesn't cost too much. I sell toddler boys apparel.

Hi @DTang,
I'm Kate from PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder App. From my CRO expertise, I’d love to give you my suggestions as hereby:
1. Have a favicon for your store
Whether you're putting the final touches on your online store or it's already up and running, don't overlook the significance of adding a favicon! It's a small yet crucial detail that can enhance your website's appearance and reinforce your brand.
By including a favicon on your website, you can effectively communicate to your potential customers that they have arrived at your company's page.
You can check this Shopify guide on how to add a favicon - https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/images/add-favicon
2. Resize the sticky header
It's great when you have a sticky header which makes it more convenient for your vistors to navigate around the site.
Another thing you might care is that the sticky header is taking significant space while scrolling up and down. So I would like to suggest that you remove the white spacing on the top and bottom of the header to save more space to showcase the products.
3. Change hero banner
The banner will create the very first impression on your visitor as it is the first thing customers see when they visit your website. It’s great when your current hero banner can describe exactly what you're selling in 5 seconds first.
Unfortunately, the current banner seems to describe your product as cups instead of clothing as it mainly focuses on the red cup. That’s why I suggest you change it, and if possible, please make it full width.
4. Add CTA button to hero banner
A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store.
With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, or a product page, etc.
It’s such a loss when you missed a “Shop now” button on your banner. A CTA button here will urge visitors to make the purchase and it is a great way to optimize your home page.
And please rest assured that all CTA buttons should have the same styling to boost the conversion rate.
5. Update testimonials - customer reviews:
This section will help you build customers' trust. You should show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos.
Currently, the “Verified Reviews” make it less trustworthy and the star rating is displayed as text instead of icons make itself less eye catching.
Here is a good demo for your reference:
6. Have more sections
The more information you provide your customers with, the better they understand about your brand as well as your products. As a result, they are more willing to make a purchase.
Some sections you can refer to:
And that's my feedback! Hope it helps you boost the conversion rate.
Cheers!

Hi @DTang,
This is Ammar from Claros - AI Shopping Assistants for Online Stores.
I've checked out your store and really like your products, but have a couple of suggestions for you on how you might improve the store design.
1. Make your Sales Promotion Image fullscreen
Like this:
2. For Your Hero Banner -- add your mission
I see your hero banner beneath the sales promotion. Add your mission to this and also make the CTA "shop all" bigger and a better contrasting color. Like this:
3. Add store favicon
Adding a favicon so your tab sticks out and people can recognize your brand.
4. Resize for the header and remove whitespace
Your Navigation menu header has a lot of vertical margin space, try making it narrower to look better on your shopping pages.
5. Instead of Mission, Add shipping and return information on the footer
Instead of putting your mission in the footer (put it in hero banner instead), replace it with a section to offer transparent details about shipping durations, fees, and return procedures. This clarity builds trust and lessens any hesitation to purchase.
Like this:
5. Add a Low Cost Sales Assistant popup
Have a sales popup that asks customers if they're looking for something in specific to grab their attention. Claros, an AI shopping assistant solution, could certaily help with this.
Hopefully you find some of these tips useful! Good luck!

Hey there -
Nice to meet you.
Running a Shopify store can feel like pushing a rock up a hill everyday. If you keep at it, you'll make it up the hill.
We do a lot of strategy calls for smaller stores and pushing them in the right direction. I think you could definitely benefit from someone who has been there before.
When I go to your store, there are a couple quick things I notice that may be driving people away (one of our largest clients is an 8 figure baby products company).
1. The menu is a bit of a mess. It is on multiple lines and the home link is in the middle of it.
2. There is a lot of white space pushing your hero image down.
3. I cannot click the hero image to go shopping. This is one of the biggest conversion rate killers.
4. When you do get down to the shop all button finally, it is white with a grey background and really hard to read.
It feels like the current site is trying to do everything possible to keep the visitor from buying. This would make it really hard to scale with ads (which all of the baby brands have done successfully).
I would definitely work on getting the store right before dumping a bunch of marketing into it.
This is an accepted solution.

Disclosure: I'm no marketing expert but I can share my opinion as a potential costumer.
a) Your Logo could have a redesign, because its size messes a little with your menu design and it's hard to recognize it on mobile devices.
b) Your menu design its too crowdy, shopify has an option that groups the menu items as collapsable.
c) Your banners are just photos, edit them to add more of your branding.
d) Try to have brand colors to give a sense of identity
e) Correct your color combinations : Sale tag with red font over a red background its a bad practice, focus on contrast.
f) Your about us is plainly text, make texts punchy and brief, maybe include a photo of yourself to appear as a engaging brand.
Hope serves my feedback!
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
