Should I have a language and country selector like this in my store?

Hey, does anyone know if it is good to make a language/country selector like the picture down below? Would this hurt my conversion or just make it better? Thanks in advance!Image 17-01-2024 at 17.22.jpeg

If I am a customer, I want to open a homepage immediately, instead of having to choose language/country before accessing it. However, implementing a language/country selector can introduce complexities that might impact user satisfaction.

Cons:

  1. User Friction: Requiring users to select a language or country before accessing the homepage adds an extra step and can lead to user frustration, especially if the default language or country doesn't match the user's preference.
  2. Limited User Awareness: Some users may not immediately notice or understand the purpose of the language/country selector, leading to potential confusion and difficulty navigating the website.

You can use some Shopify apps to automatically switch the language based on the customer's IP address. Then add this section to the footer or header.
