Hi Everyone,

I was hoping for someone to point me in the right direction with regards to an opinion on my site. I have changed the theme to Ella which I believe is very popular for a larger-scale product site. I am sure that there are elements that are missing or could use a rework. And given the fact that I have only had one sale in Months is a good testimony to that so some pointers would be appreciated.

Regards

Keith

Hi @PacificBlue,
Kate here from the PageFly Shopify Landing Page Builder App.

I can offer some general insights that might help improve your conversion rate:

Homepage

Overall, the homepage layout and color palette are well-designed. However, I noticed that some key sections are missing from the homepage:

1. Add direct link for announcement bar:

I realized that you offer a sales promotion. For better alignment with your content and to enhance user experience, consider directing this link to your product page or collection page. This change could significantly improve navigation and potentially increase your conversion rates.

PageFlyKate_0-1721185627582.png

2. Hero banner

To enhance the overall experience of this section, consider making it full width and adjusting the slideshow content for better clarity. Currently, it feels overly complicated:

PageFlyKate_1-1721185628227.png

You can check this sample design for reference:

PageFlyKate_2-1721185628173.png

3. About us section

Images tend to captivate people more effectively than text. To enhance the appeal of this section, consider incorporating images that visually represent the content.

PageFlyKate_3-1721185628228.png

Like this:

PageFlyKate_4-1721185628403.png

4. Adjust spacing

As you can see, the heading of this section is too close to the previous section, while the spacing with the next content is too long. Please adjust the layout to ensure that all sections are properly separated and the information is presented more clearly.

PageFlyKate_5-1721185628142.png

This heading should be formatted as a proper heading. Please adjust it to match the style of other headings, as it currently appears as normal text.

PageFlyKate_6-1721185628200.png

5. Align the product list

For a more professional appearance, consider aligning the product images and introducing hover images for each item.

These suggestions are somewhat lengthy, but I hope that you have read them all. Best of luck with your business.

Keep up the great work!

Hi @PacificBlue ,
Store is good, product range is trending and converting
Two points to consider
1. Marketing- Add social media sections, UGC videos, review videos and ratings

This will build trust to the traffic coming on you site

2. Design is good, but the formatting is totally out, Some of the examples like

-Dawood_Mirza__0-1721111669721.png

this seems a cluster and these badges are repetitive at bottom

Dawood_Mirza__2-1721111709444.png

empty space is a negative

Dawood_Mirza__4-1721111762667.png

again empty space and bottom text has no padding / margins

Dawood_Mirza__5-1721111804426.png

margins not set here too

Dawood_Mirza__6-1721111826781.png

center align would look professional

Here are some suggestions for your website:

-Overall Formatting: The formatting needs to be refined to ensure a consistent and polished look.
-Product Upsell Sections: Add sections to highlight additional products or services to encourage upselling.
-Social Media Sections: Include sections to promote your social media channels and encourage user engagement.
-Spaces and Margins: Correct spacing and margins to enhance readability and visual appeal.
-Luxury Font for Headings: Use a luxury font for the headings to convey a premium feel.
-Logo: Use a PNG logo with a transparent background or place it on a white header for better visual appeal.
-Top Bar: Make the top bar a single line for a cleaner look.
-Uniform Font Size: Ensure uniform font size across the site for consistency.
-There are many little details here and there that can be tweaked.

I hope this helps! Feel free to DM me with specific questions.

Best regards,
Dawood Mirza

Hi @PacificBlue,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. This is MooseDesk - All-in-one Customer Support and Helpdesk Solution for your Start-up

Congratulations on your new store! It is well-designed and has quite enough essential details. While it's already great, I do have some suggestions to help make it even better. Here are a few of my recommendations for a better customer experience, please take a look.

1. Optimize the header

  • Merge two header sections

I can see that there are 2 header sections on your website. But these two can be confusing for users and difficult to display on small screens like smartphones.

Therefore, I suggest combining these two by moving the navigation menu to the right of the logo and moving the search bar to the rightest corner

the smart gift shop.png

  • Freeze the header

After merging them, it’s time to freeze the header. A sticky header makes it easier for users to find what they're looking for and avoid having to scroll back to the top each time they want to navigate to a different website section.

2. Revamp the product listing page

Some products are listed not in line with each other, which can make the whole website look messy and unprofessional

3. Add more images to the product page

High-quality, informative product photos can keep users on the product page longer as they explore different views. This can potentially boost sales for your store.

3 types of product images that should always be included for most products:

  • Images that show products “In Scale”
  • Images that highlight a product’s features: Feature Callout images (highlight specific components/characteristics of a product that users will find valuable; use cases)
  • 3-5 Images that show products from at least a few different angles

This is a great example:

product page.jpeg

4. Add a customer support section

Don't overlook the importance of customer support for your new online store. Being available whenever customers need you the most can help drive more conversion to your store. You can consider adding these sections to your website:

  • Contact Us page: Contact Us page is a page containing your store’s contact information: Phone number, address, contact email, … In some cases, the contact page also has a contact form to receive queries from customers.

contact us.png

  • FAQ page: FAQ page is a page containing multiple answers to frequently asked questions of customers.

faq md.png

  • Live chat support: This is a widget that pops up on your website, allowing visitors to ask questions and get assistance directly from your team in real time.

For all of these sections, I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a free support, FAQ & Helpdesk App. MooseDesk provides auto-reply features during non-business hours, a proactive help center, and a user-friendly widget layout, offering an effective solution to enhance customer support on your platform.

As an expert/enthusiast in UX, I recommend implementing these changes to improve customer experience when scrolling through your store.

Hi @PacificBlue
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm from BON: Loyalty Rewards Referrals.

Below are a few suggestions that I hope can help you improve your store's UI:
1. Color Scheme
Currently, your website does not have a consistent color template. The color schemes are conflicting with each other, such as lime green - brown - orange - black - white. I suggest you choose up to 3 main colors for the store, with tones ranging from light to dark, such as white/beige/yellow or white/beige/light brown. You can refer to available color templates here: https://colorhunt.co/

2. Section Layout
The arrangement of sections on your store is not tidy; the spacing between blocks, length, and height are not consistent.
The content arrangement makes the website feel disjointed instead of aligned into a consistent experience flow. You should arrange the sections from broad to detailed, for example:
Top: Main menu - Store logo - Advertisement banner/slider
Middle: Featured products - Collection
Footer: Testimonials - Contact methods
Regarding the details of products or collections: You can place them on the Product page for easier customer navigation.

3. A Small Suggestion About Products
I see that your products are quite diverse. However, this can make the model target a specific customer segment. Specifically, when looking at the display of Jewelry or beauty products, I would expect images to focus on the product with minimalist colors. But on the website, these products are placed alongside items like Pet toys, making the customer experience a bit confusing.

By implementing these customized suggestions, you can enhance your store's user experience and increase your conversion rates. If you find this helpful, please let me know by giving me a 'LIKE.'
If your question is answered, please mark this as 'SOLUTION.' 😊

Thank you, and best of luck with your store!

Hi @PacificBlue ,

I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.

I would be happy to review your website and provide feedback on the performance.

Here are my recommendations to improve your conversion rate:

1. Improving the speed and performance on mobile and desktop

  • I checked your website performance on PageSpeed Insights - a Google tool that measures the website performance and found that scores on mobile, where a high number of the traffic is coming from, is around 4x  while the performance score on mobile should ideally be above 6x.
  • Also, on the desktop , the score is around 7x while the expected score should be above 8x.

mageplazacs_0-1721382389597.png

mageplazacs_1-1721382389592.png

  • Slow loading speeds affect various aspects related to user behavior and business outcomes, ultimately leading to lower conversion rates. Here is some suggestion:
  • For Shopify stores, the following are several factors that impact website performance
    • Store theme
    • The apps installed
    • Any additional third-party code you’ve manually added to your store, including tag managers and the tags within them
  • Here are some tips that you can use to improve your site performance:

2.  Monitor Your Cart Abandonment Rate

Additionally, a high cart abandonment rate can be particularly frustrating for your business, especially after investing significantly in attracting visitors to your site. This issue indicates that many potential customers are deciding not to complete their purchases, contributing to low conversion rates.

To address this, you can remind customers about the items left in their carts and encourage them to complete their purchases by:

  • Email Reminders: Send emails to customers who abandon their carts, reminding them of their items.
  • Incentives: Offer a discount or free shipping to motivate them to finalize their purchases.
  • For more detailed guidance, refer to an article from the Shopify Help Center

3. Improve SEO

Besides running ads, taking the time to ensure your web pages are properly optimized can help increase your organic traffic, meaning more potential customers browsing your products. SEO strategies can drive site traffic to your Shopify website effectively.

For an average small e-commerce store, you should get at least 1000 visitors per month to start having a stable source for sales.

Here are some basic elements you should check:

Title Tags & Meta Descriptions:

  • Each page should have unique, descriptive title tags and meta descriptions.
  • Include relevant keywords without overstuffing.

Content:

  • Regularly updated the blog with valuable content on trendy topics.
  • Use headings (H1, H2, H3) appropriately to structure content and include keywords.

You can also check this SEO checklist by Shopify to learn more about optimizing your e-commerce store and blog. This will boost your online presence and bring more traffic to your website.

Besides, here are some suggestions regarding the UX/UI:

4. Banner

mageplazacs_2-1721382389479.png

The current banners are too general, you should use a high-quality, eye-catching hero banner with a clear value proposition and a strong call-to-action (CTA). Highlight any ongoing sales, new arrivals, or bestsellers. Below is a reference:

mageplazacs_3-1721382389617.png

5. Adding FAQ and chat box

You can add an FAQs section and chat box to address common customer concerns.  Here is the reference:

mageplazacs_4-1721382389478.png

mageplazacs_5-1721382389420.png

6. Adding review section on product details page

Review will provide customers more information about the product. It will enhance trust, provide more information about products and address buying hesitation. Please see the reference:

mageplazacs_6-1721382389629.png

7. Make use of your Blog

I see that you have a blog page where you share knowledge and information about styles and fashion. This is the right direction and please keep working on it. Focus on content that is valuable to your target audience to drive a lot of traffic to your website. Driving more traffic to your website will result in a more accurate and better conversion rate.

I hope some of my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback.

Good luck!
