Hi. My store is getting a lot of visits but has had only one purchasing customer, outside of family, in the past year. Analytics says that visitors are spending less than 20 seconds on site. Can someone check out the site to see if there is a problem I am not seeing other than maybe the speed needs to be adjusted? Thank you. https://yourpuppypalace.com

1. Add a favicon to your store

Having a favicon for your store will make your store unique and help customers easily recognize it. You can check this article to know how to add it.

2. Make the menu sticky

A sticky navigation bar will help customers navigate themselves from every part of the homepage to any page of your store more conveniently. 

3. Have a CTA button on the banner

A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store.

With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, or a product page, etc.

 4. Add a section about your brand story

A brand story helps customers understand more about your business and also helps your store look more professional. 

5. Add testimonial - customer reviews

Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers' trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos.

I think that right now, the font and colors of the site is slightly distracting. I would recommend not using purple text on an orange background. 

 

Another great way to improve your store is to collect feedback from your customers. Although advice from the forums is good, asking the people that buy from you is even better!

 

InSite allows you to add a widget to your website that allows your customers to give feedback straight to you. This helps you convert more traffic and secure repeat customers. In your case, maybe they can tell you why they're not spending a lot of time on your website?

Hey @Julespups, I went through your website and found a few points that can be improved on to get more user traffic and engagement:
1. Plan a proper navigation section with Home, About us, Contact us, Product etc pages to help the user find what they want.
2. Have a seperate landing page for different products - currently they are all on the home page which is giving a little messy look to the entire website.
3. Use high quality realistic images of the product to give your user a better idea of what your products are.
4. Add reviews/stars since social proof plays a high role in making purchases.
5. You should add product reviews and trust badges - it is known for a fact that we rely on other people's opinions to decide our own thus trust badges are essential and you can read more about these here.
6. Holiday season is here and you should take full advantage of it by having graphic product labels/stickers based on your offers for BFCM, christmas, new arrivals, best sellers, selling fast like a lot of other successful stores. This will not only grab user attention when they browse but also increase sales by tapping into psychological triggers like scarcity, social proof and urgency. Know more here.
