Hi there!

I started building my Shopify store about two months ago. Although it still need lots of improvements, it has been live for more than a month and yet I have no traffic and, of course, no sales. I am not sure if it is more to do with the products or with the store.  To be honest it is much harder than I thought and my resources are very limited  so I am quite discouraged right now. Any advice about my store and how to move forward would be very much appreciated. This is my website fitzwillow.com. Thank you very much for your reply.

Hi @MayteCoke ,

This is QuickCEP, an automated and refined marketing software that can help you boost sales.

I think the most important thing for you right now is getting traffic for your website, it gives you the confidence to keep going. you can consider some free ways to do it, in terms of getting traffic.

Content Marketing

You can publish the content generated from your products in the community where users gather, because the community has its own user groups who are interested in the products and can be directly attracted you to your store. Now, you’d better find communities like this.

Social Media Marketing

You can build your accounts on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and other platforms, create interesting especially customers-oriented content about your products, and attract customers to your website. Make sure that you have explosive content in your promotion. You need to constantly hone your ability and perspective to produce videos, so that your account can produce creative videos.

If you can do these above points well, I believe your website will have more and more traffic. After you get traffic, you need to consider the issue of conversion. I checked your website, and some content on your website needs to be optimized.

The position of your navigation is a bit lower, and these fonts are not obvious and clear. It is recommended to enlarge and bold your fonts here to make it easier for users to access.

QuickCEP_1-1670915008175.png

There are two promotional pictures here, which take up too much space. You need to optimize one of them, save the space here, and put more products here.

You also need to strengthen the construction of automated marketing on your website, add some marketing tools to the website, facilitate customers to leave their emails, and then use plug-ins for automated marketing activities to form conversion. Add discounts information in the pop-up window, and guide consumers to leave their contact information, promoting the retention rate.

Hi @MayteCoke!

I hope you are doing good and welcome to the Shopify Community!

This is MS Web Designer (Top Rated Shopify Certified Experts and eCommerce Consultant from Singapore).

Thank you for sharing your store URL as this allowed me to go through your website. You have a beautiful store!

Mentioning a few pointers that I think will be useful:

- The Discount banner on home page is being covered by the navigation menu.

Msweb_Sid_1-1670917411967.png

- Website needs a favicon

- Product page doesn't have reviews. This also build trust on your website.

- No Social Media Icons on Home Page? This helps bring in more traffic to your store.

- Consider using the 'Coupon Discount on Cart' App from the Shopify App store for all your discounting needs. This App shows all available discounts to the customer right at Cart Page in popup mode. Thus boosting sales.

- Speed Optimization is recommended for your website as its scoring 48 on mobiles and 96 on desktops. A fast website scores 90+. This affects your search engine ranking. Even though desktop speed is fine, remember that customers mostly browse via mobiles.

Msweb_Sid_4-1670917678797.png

As for traffic and sales:

- Make sure you are promoting your site to your Target Audience. Don't try selling to everyone, only those who fit your niche. Those who might actually buy your products.

Try connecting with influencers to help you out with promotions. Start with Micro influencers. They should be affordable for you and will have the right audience.

- Try blogging about your products and your website. Ex: Medium.

- Use personal contacts to help you with expanding your viewers.

- Keep your site trustworthy. Keep trust badges on the homepage so customers are encouraged to buy.

That's about all I could notice from a glance at your store.

Don't feel discouraged. But remember to sell products that people of your niche will want to buy.

Hello @MayteCoke,

It's flareAI - your Fully Automated Free Sales Machine here. We are helping Shopify merchants providing solutions for the last few years in Shopify Community.

If helpful, please consider Like and Accept solution.

The site loads quite quickly which is great.

1. Add the Home page link at the starting of the main menu.
2. Add favicon to your store which is a small square image/logo that appears next to a web address. Favicon helps to strengthen your brand and add a polished look to your website. See shopify help here.
3. Testimonials are a good way to increase the trust and will influence the purchasing decision. Also, provide the customers' full name, and profile photo of them to add authenticity and credibility.
4. Add social media for the store to increase the traffic
5. Add a FAQ page to provide information on frequent questions or concerns
6. Add more specific product title/url in product pages.
Creating the perfect SEO product title/url can help the search engine understand exactly what it is you are selling and drive more traffic to your site. So try to keep the product title/url unique and more specific.
7. Add average ratings for each product
Including both user rating and number of ratings on the products will help users to make decision whether to buy your product or not.
8. Add sticky header
Adding sticky header allow users to quickly access the navigation, search, and utility-navigation elements without scrolling up to the top of the page. They increase the discoverability of the elements in the header and the chance that users will take advantage of them.
9. Add Blogging in the store
Blogging is an amazing way to drive traffic to your website and increase your SEO. The more your blog, the more content the search engines have to crawl and index. This means they can easily recognize that your site is a resource of information for people to access.

For getting more organic(free) conversions make sure your products are indexed on Google. 53% of eCommerce traffic is Search, far greater than Paid Ads & Social Media. As a Google partner, flareAI will help your products found on Google and other free channels. Once your product is found on Google, customers will keep finding your product day after day. With flareAI, your store can access the Google Search and 20+ free sales channels.

Hi @MayteCoke

Your store is lovely and your mission statement is compelling:

This information is so important to differentiate your brand from your competitors, it's kind of your Unique Selling Point (USP) so you should give this more space and attention. The best way to do this is to create content telling the world about it.

I can see that you have social media profiles on Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram - is there a rationale for why you're on those platforms? Do you know who your customer is and where they're most likely to want to see your content/products?

The best way to connect with your customers and encourage them to buy products from you is to come up with a content strategy that engages them and keeps them interested from the first moment they encounter your brand (through an ad or blog post or shared social media post) through to the moment they're completing their checkout.

@MayteCoke I have two main tips I think could really help you out in improving your store.
1) My first tip is that there should be a section for best selling products in the homepage. This would help customers find tested and more eye catching products much quicker.

2) In order to achieve a better conversion rate, you should bundle some products together and sell at one joint price. Customers tend to prefer purchasing products this way and to maximize the usefulness of this technique, I recommend using the Bundler- Product Bundles App. This app basically sorts out anything related to the bundling process right from creating to deleting some bundles you believe are not doing well or are not really useful. There’s a free trial for the app you can check out here https://apps.shopify.com/bundler-product-bundles
