Store Feedback

Hi all,

Happy Tuesday

I was hoping to get some feedback on my store if anyone has a moment? I've had my shopify website since 2014 and as persistent as I am, I have never lifted the brand up or made many sales. I get maybe one sale every 3-5 months.

I have recently changed my logo and branding a little. I just wanted to see if anyone can give me an honest opinion on my website and my brand, can you tell what my brand is about from my site?

Thank you! Appreciate your time

Website is - Nostalgic Feather

Hello @SarahNF

Hope you are doing good. Your store looks nice and here are few suggestions.

Add a favicon which helps to find your store when customer had multiple tabs in their browser.

Make header sticky for easy navigation. It helps customer to access menu at any time they want.

Consider testimonials or reviews on the homepage to build trust with the visitors.

Add related products/features collections in the product page to increase cross sales.

Add Contact form in the contact us page.

Make social links open on new tab.

You can promote your products with word of mouth strategy. Boost your sales with the app from the shopify app store   which helps to increase your sales.

There is no terms and conditions checkbox at checkout. I suggest you to install an app from shopify app store which provides 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' before checkout .As it makes easy for the customer to read your terms and policies.

There is no customer review option on the products. Install Product review app from the Shopify app store, so that customer can write a review when they purchase any product from your store.

You can also sell your products on Etsy marketplace as it is very good platform to sell unique, handmade and Vintage goods . If you are already selling on Etsy store consider our Etsy Integration app in the shopify app store. Etsy is a Huge marketplace for selling creative goods such as art & collectibles, crafts & supplies, jewellery &accessories and more,  if you have any unique/handmade/vintage goods in your store, you can give further exposure to your products.

Hi  @SarahNF

I’m Richard Nguyen - CRO Expert at PageFly- Free Landing Page Builder. With over 5 years’ experience in providing solutions for over 100.000 stores to help merchants increase their conversion rates, I’d like to provide you with some feedback with the hope they would be helpful to you.

Basically, your store has some good points:

  • Showing customer reviews
  • The images are eye-catching and fashionable

However, I have some feedback and hope this helps:

Add favicon to your store

Having a favicon for your store will make your store unique and help customers easily recognize it. If you are not sure about what is a favicon, it is the icon next to your website's name, take the screenshot below as an example:

You can check this article to know how to add it.

Let dive deep into the page you have:

I. Home page

1.1 Make the menu sticky

RichardNguyen_0-1635999189511.png

A sticky navigation bar will help customers navigate themselves from every part of the homepage to any page of your store more conveniently.

1.2 Add section about your brand story

A brand story helps customers understand more about your business and also helps your store look more professional.

II. Collection page

2.1 Have secondary hover images for the product list

By presenting secondary hover images, customers can easily scan many products to see extra visual information.

2.2 Using the Load more button instead of pagination

By using the Load more button, customers can compare products loading on one page. This helps to create a constant buying experience for customers.

2.3 Add average ratings for each product

You should include both the user rating average and number of ratings on the product list items. This is one of the crucial elements for users’ purchasing decisions. They will rely on both to decide whether they should explore further a product.

III. Product page

3.1 Display a minimum of 6 reviews by default and allow users to submit reviews

Normally, users often rely on reviews to judge a product besides product detail descriptions and other info given by a site since they consider them more legit and authentic. I would recommend you display reviews on your product page (with a minimum of 6 reviews with the ability to “Load more” and allow users to submit their reviews.

Moreover, you can check this guide to pick the best reviews app for your store!

BFCM is coming. You can amplify your sales in holiday season with PageFly solutions exclusively for this holiday season. All these holiday features could help you a lot in building a high-converting page.

If you want to do more customization for your store to increase conversion rate, you can consider using a Shopify page builder. And PageFly, Advanced Page Builder with 24/7 support live chat is a great app that helps you easily customize your Shopify pages and make it more attractive.

If you find my comment useful, please let me know by giving it a Like. Thank you!

Hi @SarahNF ,

Hi,
I visited your website. your products and web design are very nice. I like them.

But I saw something, this may be helpful to get a higher conversion rate:

- add a best seller category
- Add more slide banners with great visuals with your products and the great "call to action" button. the slide banner should show the benefits of your products ( you can choose the best sellers to describe), your events, your discounts (Black Friday is coming, right?)

hori_tran_0-1637036137891.png

- Show promotion and a great shipping policy on the top
- add realistic product images
- make videos to attract customers and increase time on site
- pop up chat and discount pop up
-  Add reviews for each product (some Shopify review apps can help) and a lower price next to the original one or to attract customers (on both the homepage and the product page)

hori_tran_1-1637036229680.png

- And don't forget to add JSON LD to your site to display your reviews on Google search by SEO app. (This SEO app I use 1 year: https://bit.ly/2YxoOYC)
- SEO: your mobile version is not good. Heading tags, Meta tags, keywords are not optimized. To handle this I usually use the above SEO app.

In addition,

Have you tried Facebook/Google ads yet? While being expensive, ads can help you generate sales quicker by targeting the right customers. I own a cosmetics brand on Shopify and manage to earn an average of 4000-5000 per month. This is thanks to doing online marketing with FB ads and SEO, which helps drive more than 800+ organic views to my website monthly. And from my experience, in order to run ads effectively, you need to do some good research with SEO first. By doing SEO, you'll understand what are the most effective keywords from organic traffic and also, customer behavior on your website. Then you can optimize your ads with SEO insights and improve your on-site elements to boost conversion. By the way, there's no need to hire a costly SEO expert as there are some free and effective Shopify apps that offer good service (I'm personally using this one: https://bit.ly/2YxoOYC) Just my recommendation as a store owner. Hope it could help and Good luck with your sales!!
