Feedback for your online store from the community
Hey!
I was hoping to get some expert feedback on my store, sobetan.com. What are your first impressions when you visit the site? Does anything stand out, whether positive or something that could be improved?
I would really appreciate any thoughts you have on the design, layout, or overall user experience. I am always looking to make it better, so honest feedback is very welcome.
Thanks so much in advance!
Hi @sobetan
Let me praise your website first because you've done a few things well.
First, I'm impressed with how much information is on the product pages, the instructional video + FAQ, the ingredients. I can you've been in business a while because you've anticipated people's questions.
Second, you chose a good theme. The font, colors, and design is well done.
Now, the problems, I noticed right away. Your home page is very busy. I can book a spray tan, watch a video of Kim Kardashian in your location, see a tweet by her, or buy one of your products.
You need to decide what you want visitors to do when they come to the site. Is it to book a spray tan? Is find out your past customers? Or is it buy products?
Once you decide that, dedicate your home page to that focus. Remove unrelated content. You can mention/link to other things. But don't let it pull focus from the main objective.
Another issue is the video, many people are looking at your website on their phone. That video is long and will take some time to load on people's phones. They might be willing to wait for everything to load and instead leave.
If you want to focus on sales, one option is to focus on trying to get bigger orders instead of a bunch of small orders. You can create product bundles. Then, offer free shipping at a certain price point the customer can meet if they buy a bundle. An app like X Away From Free Shipping will allow visitors to "earn" free shipping
Hi @sobetan ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community! I'm Mia from MooseDesk , your go-to Live Chat, WhatsApp and FAQ App here to help enhance your customer support experience 😊
Congrats on your new store! I just have a quick review on your store and notice that your brand’s focus on clean, vegan, and cruelty-free tanning solutions is prominently showcased, establishing trust and appeal. However, there are some spaces should need enhancement, please kindly check it 😍
Issue: The homepage features a carousel with multiple slides, which can dilute the focus and overwhelm visitors.
Recommendation: Prioritize a single, compelling hero image with a clear call-to-action (CTA) to guide users effectively.
Issue: The navigation menu is extensive, which might confuse users.
Recommendation: Simplify the menu by grouping related items under dropdowns and highlighting primary actions like “Shop” and “Book Now.” Please chec here to know more about detail: https://www.semrush.com/blog/ecommerce-navigation/
Issue: Product descriptions are brief, lacking detailed information that can aid purchasing decisions.
Recommendation: Expand descriptions to include usage instructions, ingredient lists, benefits, and customer reviews to build trust and provide clarity.
I understand your store is new, but just a friendly-reminder, don't forget reviews are essential to the shopping experience. You should add a testimonial section to build trust for your products' quality. If there are not enough rating stars, consider using text & images to showcase feedback of your first orders.
After doing a quick review, I can see that your website lacks a help widget and live chat to allow customers to contact you immediately when they need. How about having a powerful live chat to assist potential customers instantly, addressing their questions or concerns in real time? This can help prevent abandonment and encourage purchases
I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a FREE Live Chat, WhatsApp & FAQ App. You can easily reach customer support via WhatsApp, ensuring immediate assistance for inquiries. Also, the widget provide multi self-Service options such as Order tracking, Translation and FAQ section empower customers to resolve common questions on their own, reducing the need for direct support.
Your store looks great overall! To make it even better, you could consider adding an FAQ and a "Contact Us" page. These are essential for helping customers quickly find answers or reach out for support, which can significantly enhance their shopping experience.
For an easy solution, I recommend trying MooseDesk App. It provides free, professionally designed FAQ and Contact Us templates with a simple one-click setup that perfect for elevating your store effortlessly!

Hi @sobetan!
I just had a look at your site and wanted to share some quick thoughts from a Shopify marketer’s perspective. Hope it helps!
1. First impressions – You’re doing a lot right!
The first thing I noticed (and appreciated!) is how informative your product pages are. You’ve got:
- Ingredient breakdowns
- How-to-use videos
- FAQs right on the page
That’s awesome. It shows you’ve been around, and you care about educating your customers—not just selling. Appreciation for that.
2. But it can feel a bit overwhelming
One thing that stood out: there’s a lot going on, especially on the homepage. You’ve got a static banner, then a video, then another video below—it’s a bit much to process all at once, especially for new visitors.
My suggestion:
Try focusing on just one strong hero image or video, with a super clear message + call-to-action. Something like:
“Glow naturally – Shop our bestsellers now” + [Shop Now] button
This will help your page load faster, especially on mobile, and give people a clear next step.
Add video testimonials = instant trust
Your products seem to already have a loyal base (which is great to see). If you can, try to add a short video testimonial section to your product pages. Even casual clips from real customers saying “This helped my skin so much!” can go a long way. Social proof like that adds a human touch that converts.
Small changes, big impact
You’re honestly in a great place already. With just a few layout tweaks and a more focused homepage, I think your store could feel even smoother. After that, it might be time to zoom out and grow your brand presence through:
- Livestream selling (even casual IG Lives!)
- SEO (your product pages are ready for it!)
- TikTok-style product demos
- Collaborations with creators in your niche
Final thoughts
You clearly know your brand and your customers—now it’s just about refining the user journey so more people stick around and buy. Keep it up! And feel free to tag me if you want to brainstorm more—always happy to help other store owners grow. 😊
Best,

Hi @sobetan
I have carefully watched and checked your website contents and they look very nice indeed at first sight.
However, for the animation and videos on homepage, it will be better if you can upload with a higher quality, so that they can share a better feedback for visitors. Anyway, your website looks very amazing and attractive, cannot stop exploring more when managing to click into further places.
