STORE NOT CONVERTING

STORE NOT CONVERTING

Hello everyone, my store is not converting... I have had 400 site visits and not a single purchase. I have done my best to update the landing page and create a polished feel to the store. Is this just slow sales and something that will take time or do we need to look at making some changes. Any feedback would be appreciated.  The store is gentlemensvalor.com for those who will take the time to look at it, thank you in advance.

Hi @Gentlemensvalor,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. We are MooseDesk, a comprehensive Live Chat, FAQ & Helpdesk App designed to elevate your customer support experience.

Congrats on your new store! It has quite enough essential information. However, we can make it even better. Here are some of my recommendations to improve conversion and customer experience, please kindly check.

1. Optimize the hero section

It’s great that you already include a clear CTA button, however the image quality is low resolution. I suggest changing to a high-quality one or it could also be the one that you are using on your product page

2. Optimize the product page

  • Add detailed information

For example create a comprehensive guide on how to choose the correct ring size or include a size chart with clear instructions on measurement. Doing this will increase the chances of your customers purchasing the products

  • Display the number of reviews: I can see that you are using stars to demonstrate average rating. You can also show the total number of reviews to improve trust among customers, thus improving the conversion.

  • Provide more product images : 3 types of product images that should always be included for most products:
  • Images that show products “In Scale”
  • Images that highlight a product’s features: Feature Callout images (highlight specific ingredients/characteristics of a product that users will find valuable)
  • 3-5 Images that show products from at least a few different angles

3. Add estimated delivery

Customers can make better-informed decisions about their purchase if you display an estimated delivery date or range near the "Add to Cart" button. You can consider adding a delivery date calculator that updates based on the user's location.

As an expert/enthusiast in UX, I recommend implementing these changes to improve customer experience when scrolling through your store.

Hi @Gentlemensvalor,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty.

I had a look through your store, and here are a few suggestions that might help improve your conversion rate:

1. Homepage
- Menu Bar Visibility: Consider displaying the menu bar directly on the homepage rather than behind an icon. This will make it easier for visitors to see what your store offers right away, without having to click around to find it.

- Hero Banner: Ensure the hero banner fits within one scroll to make a strong impact. This helps in grabbing the visitor’s attention immediately without needing them to scroll down to see the full image.
- Featured Collection Consistency: Some of your featured collections link to product listing pages, while others go directly to product detail pages. Consistency here will create a smoother browsing experience.

2. Product Listing Page
- Banner Size and Relevance: The banner on your product listing pages is quite large. It would be better if the banners reflect what’s being sold in that category. Additionally, using the same banner for all categories might not be necessary, and consider avoiding GIFs or videos here as they could slow down page loading times.
- Filters: Adding filters on the product listing page can help customers narrow down their choices and find exactly what they’re looking for faster.

3. Product Detail Page
- Video Banners: Having a video banner for each product might be overwhelming and could distract customers from focusing on the main product. It’s best to keep the focus on your product details.
- Model Images: Consider adding images of models wearing your products. This can help customers visualize how the items look when worn and could increase the likelihood of a purchase.

4. Footer
- Footer Content: It would be beneficial to add a footer section. This could include links to important pages like contact information, social media, return policies, and more. It helps build trust and provides easy access to essential information.

I hope these suggestions help you refine your store further.

Hi @Gentlemensvalor,

I’m from Mageplaza, a Shopify solution expert.

I would be glad to review your website and provide feedback on improving its performance. Below are some suggestions to enhance your conversion rate:

1. Enhance Mobile Speed and Performance

After analyzing your website with PageSpeed Insights, I found that the mobile performance score is around 4x, which is below the ideal benchmark of 6x. Since a significant portion of your traffic comes from mobile users, this low speed could be affecting their experience and, as a result, your overall conversion rates. Slow loading times not only frustrate users but also reduce the likelihood of them completing purchases, ultimately impacting sales.

To improve your Shopify store's performance on mobile devices, consider the following steps:

  • Review Your Store Theme: Some themes can be more resource-intensive than others, affecting loading times. Opt for a lightweight, mobile-optimized theme.
  • Optimize Installed Apps: While apps can add valuable functionality, having too many can slow down your site. Assess whether all installed apps are necessary and well-optimized.
  • Minimize Additional Code: Any extra third-party code, such as tags and scripts, can contribute to slower loading times. Ensure that unnecessary code is removed or minimized.
  • Compress Images: Large image files are one of the most common causes of slow loading times. Use compressed image formats without compromising quality.
  • Professional Support: In some cases, enlisting the help of a professional can be the most effective way to tackle performance issues. They can provide tailored solutions for your specific setup.

By taking these steps, you can significantly enhance your site’s mobile performance, which will likely lead to improved user satisfaction and better conversion rates. For more detailed advice, refer to Shopify’s performance optimization guidelines.

2. Adding promotional banners

To enhance the impact of the hero banner, consider the following additions:

  1. Strong Call-to-Action (CTA): Make the CTA bold and inviting. Instead of just "Shop Now," go with action-oriented phrases like "Discover Your Perfect Ride" or "Get Yours Before They're Gone." These create urgency or excitement.
  2. Highlight Key Offers: Promote specific elements like ongoing sales, new arrivals, or bestsellers with buttons or badges. A rotating slider can display multiple offers like “20% Off Select Models,” “Shop New Arrivals,” or “Best-Selling Accessories."

3. Search bar

mageplazacs_2-1726045305450.png

You should make larger product images, show price and discount information, including  price search, collection search, etc functionality to enhance search bar. This will help customers find their needs quickly, enhancing their shopping experience.  Below is a reference:

I hope some of my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback.

Good luck!
