I recently bought some thing on a Shopify store (snuggleloom.store) . I received an order confirmation but it hasn’t been shipped yet now I’m worried.
I contacted them and they said I’ll receive my order this week but after a second attempt at communication they haven’t responded l. I can’t lodge a complaint with Shopify because it hasn’t been 30 days since the order.
what can I do? Can Shopify help and will I be compensated should it turn out to be a scam?
Shopify itself isn’t responsible for fulfillment of orders, or refunds, as each store is operated individually. But if you don’t get your order within 30 days, you can submit a report to Shopify using their Report a merchant form. In the meantime, document all communication and consider reaching out to your payment provider to inquire about a dispute or chargeback if necessary. If the store ends up being a fraud, Shopify may shut it down, but your bank or payment service is usually responsible for repayment, not Shopify itself.
