Feedback for your online store from the community
We run a website that sells artwork that incorporates traditional Japanese craftsmanship, the items are priced very high, and there have been about 40 add to carts and more than 20 check outs over the past ten months, but there are still no sales.
I think the possible reasons are as follows:
1. Our shipping lead time is too long and we don't accept returns. This is a regulation we decided in communication with the artist, so it's hard to change it.
2. Our payment methods are not diversified enough.

It is that a bad idea for selling high price artwork online? Please help me analyze the website.
It could be several reasons. Customers might not be comfortable purchasing expensive items if they don't trust or know much about the online store. Do you run marketing campaigns? Without marketing, it is very hard to get sales for online stores. One thing that you can improve is the shipping policy: "Delivery date and time cannot be specified." - this is not clear when a customer expects the order to be delivered - one month? one year? You can add more clarification that the items are custom made and the finish time might vary. If possible, add the estimated time range.
Thank you for your suggestion! We'll improve on that.
Hi @ensakuu,
This is Kate from PageFly, - Shopify Landing Page Builder App.
Overall, it's a great website and I'm sure it's been a lot of work. Great job!
And I have some suggestions for improving your website.
1. Overall
You're selling high-priced artwork, but your website lacks professionalism and credibility, so customers won't trust and be willing to make purchases. The initial impression is crucial, so consider looking at other sellers of high-priced artwork to build a more professional website.
2. Improve the Call to action
A small, inconspicuous call to action. You should redesign it to make the call to action more prominent and appealing. The first 5-second impression is crucial. Placing a clear CTA button above the fold can motivate visitors to take action.
The hover color is also hard to distinguish on the background.
Other calls to action on the page are not prominent, and the design is inconsistent.
3. Add the product price to the product list
Consumers can make more informed decisions when the price is clearly displayed in the product list.
Transparency builds trust between the business and the customers, as they know exactly what to expect in terms of costs
4. Add testimonial - customer reviews
Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers' trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos.
Reviews are crucial when it comes to shopping online.
That's all of my feedback. Hope it helps!
Cheers,
Kate | PageFly team

You are selling art. (Product page) Sell the artistry, with this price point you should have four liner intro video from artist about the product and him/herself followed by design process. What makes this unique and proudful for buyer, the story / origin / time to craft it / idea behind it / the exculsivity.
Second, your images are crap. Even a tote bag selling $20 has better images. I will never buy $1000+ art from this site.
Third, when will I get it. estimated time?
And I can't understand, why anyone not talking to their prospect, capture their phone number, CALL THEM, sms them, email, get to know why they didn't buy.
sorry we made you mad. but thanks for your suggestion.
