Check out my Website www.haurangi.com

I sell Polynesian designs on genuine leather products. The first products are men's wallets. The target market is Australia. I am using a fulfillment center as well that can ship anywhere in AU in less than 6 days.

The Website is fast, easy to navigate, responsive, and has a lovely design(asked other people's opinion). The Products are custom made.

The photos are professionally done. The logo is cool as well.

Can't the reviews for my products since this a brand new Store.

But I have been using Google's Discovery ads for about a week and didn't get a 1 sale yet. I am getting worried now. The CPC is like $2.11 that is insanely high.

I tried Google's Smart Campaigns. The average CPC is 0.83 $ compared to discovery's $2!

Can you tell why website visitors(Paid via Google Ads) so far haven't converted?

How's the website layout?

What could be the problem?

This is an accepted solution.

Discovery ads, as the word mentions, is to reach users who are interested but not yet ready to buy. Discovery ads are great for brand awareness, not great for getting direct sales.

Consider tailoring specific hand crafted ads and do some research on which keywords to target using SpyFu or SemRush.

Also consider using Google Shopping Ads.

Discovery ads, is really far down the line of campaigns to create. Not something I would use for my clients unless they have all other campaigns running smoothly.

Hi @Yopi

All-in-one marketing platform Growave is here. Welcome to Shopify and Congratulations on opening a new store. First of all, I would like to compliment your store design and visual appeal. You have done a great job. However, since your website visitors paid via Google Ads haven't converted, I would recommend you to work on social proof and customer trust. Implement eCommerce marketing tools in order to increase customer trust and therefore sales. I hope my recommendations would help.

  • Add a Blog Page

Since your store has been launched recently, the blog will make your shop more credible and relatable. A blog builds an emotionally cohesive relationship between your Shopify store and customers, drives traffic, and keeps audiences in your store. Also, constantly adding new content to the blog will positively impact SEO.

  • Implement Social Login

Social Login provides easier login to a customer's account and enables creating an account within one click through social media account.  You can let customers sign up / login using their Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Yahoo, Tumblr, Instagram, or Amazon accounts. Moreover, you can use gained data through social login for customer retention and analysis.

  • Expand the product range

Add more products to your store and don't limit your shop with only men's wallets. Keep working on adding more products so your customers have more options to select from. Also, keep into consideration expanding to women items, so you can double your target group.

  • Add Reviews

I strongly recommend adding testimonials/reviews to products for building customer trust and social proof. Since you've launched the online shop recently, try to collect them through apps. You can collect photo reviews with automatic, fully branded email reminders as well as reply/interact/thank to reviews. Testimonials have the ability to increase the confidence of new consumers and reduce rebound abandonment of shopping carts, which is something important to your case.

  • Add Referral Program

Use a Referral program to give customers an opportunity of sharing your products with friends and getting rewarded for that. Through a referral program, you motivate your customers to develop brand community and raise brand awareness.

P.S. We have integration with Klaviyo. The common grounds of the two platforms (Klaviyo and Growave)are Wishlist reminder e-mails, Review Request e-mails, and partially Rewards program. On top of that, all the data related to buyers is be reflected in the emails: points balance, referral link, VIP tiers title. The automated e-mails by Growave help gather testimonials on a product, reduce the number of abandoned carts and overall improve sales conversion rate.

Growave replaces 5 apps and provides Reviews, Wishlist, Rewards & Loyalty, Social Login, a shoppable Instagram gallery on Shopify store under one dashboard for a great price. The app is simple to set up, customize and makes a transition seamlessly.

When it comes to conversions the absolute #1 most important thing has to be load times.

Your website takes 3.4 seconds to load the first bite of content and 10.9 seconds to fully load.

According to Google you're losing more than half your visitors before the page ever loads.

Google says 53% of mobile users abandon sites that take over 3 seconds to load.

Google also limits the number of crawlers if your server is slower than two seconds.

And Google doesn’t like to rank slow websites so you'll find it hard to ever reach page 1 for any decent keywords.

Amazon showed they would lose $1.6 BILLION a year for every one second slowdown.

Walmart said when they improved page load time by one second conversions increased by 2%.

And linking to social media sites slows your site down, bleeds page rank, and does the absolute opposite of what you're supposed to be doing.

The idea is to get traffic from those sites to your site and not to send traffic from your site to those sites.

What page are you sending your traffic to and for which keywords are you bidding?

Advertising is the second, but the first has always been faith. Faith (trust) in you as an honest store that will not deceive its customer. Everything is very simple, if a person believes, he will spend, even if he does not need it, just so that he has it for a reserve. Everything is banal simple, review your site for a question of trust, do everything necessary for this.

Hey @Yopi,

For some extra help with your digital marketing strategy please take a look at this post, where you will find how to start running your Google Ads and Shopping campaigns for Shopify.

Google Shopping is a very useful tool, especially for small and medium businesses. These smart campaigns incorporate remarketing, which will help to simplify the process and improve conversion:

  • Based on Google’s data there are almost 60,000 searches per second. That’s one of the main reasons why no matter what you are selling, Google will be able to drive relevant traffic to your store.

  • You don’t pay if people do not click on your ads. This means that all the impressions (every time that your ads are shown) you get are for free!

  • Google Ads provides faster results than SEO (Search Engine Optimization). So while you are improving your SEO strategy we highly recommend you to run Google Ads campaigns meanwhile in order to maximize your opportunities.

So, if you need some help, you can use this free Google Ads and Shopping app for Shopify!

All the best,
