Turning off reCAPTCHA for my newsletter

I have gone into preferences and turned off all reCAPTCHA. But then when I go to put in an email, it brings up a reCAPTCHA. How do I take this off?

Hi @ShakenCC, To resolve the issue of reCAPTCHA still appearing on your Shopify store even after turning it off in preferences, you can follow these steps:

 

1. Sometimes, browser cache can cause old settings to appear. Clear your browser's cache and cookies and then reload the page to see if the issue persists.
2. Certain themes or apps might have built-in reCAPTCHA functionality. Check your theme settings and any installed apps that might be adding reCAPTCHA.
3. Go to Online Store > Preferences. (Ensure that all reCAPTCHA settings are turned off. Save the settings again, even if they appear correct.)
4. You may need to manually edit the theme code to remove reCAPTCHA. This involves editing the theme.liquid file or any relevant template files.

Go to Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit Code.
Search for theme.liquid and other template files (like contact.liquid, login.liquid).
Look for any reCAPTCHA scripts and remove or comment them out.
Save the changes and preview your store to ensure the reCAPTCHA is gone.
