Visitors but no sales - Feedback on what I can change

My store is https://www.toasterhuggee.com/

I've been selling this new take on toaster covers for two years. However, since moving my shop to Shopify, my sales have dipped significantly. I am getting maybe 20 to 30 visitors per day over the last week or so, but no one is purchasing.

I have the basic debut theme, so maybe I need to change that.

Your feedback is appreciated!!!!

Maddy

Hi @MaddyG

Awesome Shopify store and congrats on getting it up and running!

  • I would focus on ensuring your product photography is on more of your product pages - that would show your customers using the product.
  • Regularly test your site speed and ensure everything is loading correctly, definitely an overlooked spot
  • Optimize your product pages by adding banners that highlight promo codes or any special discounts, customer reviews or information about the product, directly on the product pages. This will help guide your customers through education on your products. There are some great examples here: https://www.becauseintelligence.com/blog/4-sales-promotions-to-try-today-to-increase-product-page-co...
  • Write more content on the blog about the product, why someone would need it and so on... that would be a cool way to add some organic traffic and feature some collabs
  • Maybe dabble in some influencer marketing
  • I would also add some customer reviews, of course as you get them and feature them prominently

Hi @MaddyG

All-in-one marketing platform Growave is here. So sad to hear that your sales decreased with moving to Shopify. Since you still have traffic but low sales, I would suggest you focus on social proof and customer trust. Take into consideration the following eCommerce marketing tools in order to increase your sales. I hope my recommendations would help.

  • Add Sticky Menu

Make your online shop more user-friendly by keeping navigation fixed and remaining visible in the same position as the user moves around the website. Right now the menu bar on the head of the store disappears when the user scrolls down which is not convenient. Keeping navigation fixed and remaining visible in the same position as the user moves around the website will make your online shop more user-friendly.

  • Implement Social Login

Social Login provides easier access to a customer's account and enables creating an account within one click through social media account. It simplifies the login process and enables one-click signup. Also, gathered data through social login can be studied for customer retention and client analysis.

  • Add Referral Program

Once you got your first clients, try to attract more orders through existing ones. Therefore, I recommend using a referral program in order to give your customers an opportunity of sharing your products with friends and getting rewarded for that. Through a referral program, you encourage your customers to help grow your brand community.

  • Add Wishlist

Offering a Wishlist is an effective way to reduce shopping cart abandonment and fulfill sales from customers who showed intent but didn't purchase. This is a non-obvious feature that extremely scales your purchases. Since you offer various colors of toaster covers, I recommend adding a Wishlist to improve the user experience. If the items from the Wishlist haven't been purchased, automated emails will be sent out as a reminder. Moreover, you can analyze the data to see what items people save for later and what items they actually buy.
