Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi everyone,
My Shopify store has been growing steadily, and we’re getting more orders all the time. However, I want to ensure we are maximising our sales potential. We're making it up as we go....
I’d really appreciate any feedback on: - Site design & user experience (Is it easy to navigate?) - Conversion rate tips (Are there any obvious issues?)

Hello Stephen @StephenCairns I’ve had a look at your store and the user experience is quite good. The fonts and images are all clear and easy to look at, plus I experienced no lagging whatsoever while going through the store.
I think it would be a good idea to add bundle packages for the flags as well as loyalty reward programs as well. These tend to increase the store’s chances of making sales.

1/ Improve your hero banner
The current banners are visually busy with multiple fonts, colors, and images.
I suggest you should have one high-quality image with a clear value proposition and CTA. You can consider putting a Call-to-Action (CTA) button above the fold – e.g., “Shop Now” or “Get Your Flag Today” placed prominently.
2/ Simplify Navigation & Categories
The current layout for your homepage is a bit overwhelmed with banner and text. What you can do here is reducing the clutters and making the main product categories more visible. For example, highlighting Bestsellers – A section for “Most Popular Flags” with product images and direct links can help drive sales.
3/ Add Social Proof & Trust Elements
Display customer reviews and testimonials near featured products.
Show a "Trusted by" section with companies or events you've supplied flags for. For example: https://prnt.sc/ohnZ8Q97q-md
A live sales pop-up (e.g., "John from Dublin just bought an Irish Flag") can also be added to boost urgency, like this:
4/ Improve Conversion Rate with Persuasive Marketing
When your products and the platform are ready, you may want to promote your business to more customers. Here are some suggestions that you can take action immediately:
- Urgency & Scarcity: Show low stock indicators (“Only 5 left!”) or countdown timers on special offers.
- Exit-Intent Popups: Offer a discount when a visitor tries to leave your site.
- Abandoned Cart Emails: If someone adds an item but doesn’t check out, send an email reminder with an incentive.
One last step, since you already generate a decent amount of sales, for retaining customers, it's helpful to consider loyalty programs. Yeah, I see what you mean in regards to it being a bit cluttered. Sometimes I don't know when to stop...
I will add a trusted list of clubs and companies we have worked with, that's good idea.
The Bon Loyalty app looks great as well, thanks. It would work well as we do have customers who comeback year on year and for different events.
