Feedback for your online store from the community
My store is fairly new and receiving traffic as well as a few email subscribers, but I am struggling with sales. Right now my main goal is to up the email subscribers so I don't have to rely so much on social media in the future and so I can nurture those customer relationships. Can you please have a look and tell me your honest thoughts and if anything stands out that I should change? Thank you in advance! 💜
Hi @nkpartysupply,
I did notice a few things that could be improved upon.
First, showing a subscribe to newsletter pop-up immediately upon visiting the website can be off-putting to some customers. It's best to wait a few seconds or until they have had a chance to look around your site before displaying the pop-up.
Second, the "Accept" button for your cookie banner is located beneath the chat button, which can make it difficult for customers to find.
Third, it appears that your store is missing customer reviews. Adding customer reviews to your product pages can help build trust with potential customers and increase the chances of them making a purchase. It's a good idea to have a review system in place that allows customers to easily leave reviews on your website.
Lastly, the "Add to cart" call to action is not prominent enough. You could consider using a different color to make it stand out more. This will help increase conversions by making it more obvious to customers how to purchase an item.
Overall, your store looks great, and with a few small tweaks, it could be even better.
Hi @nkpartysupply,
Congratulations on your new store and on receiving good traffic. It's excellent that you have a few email subscribers too!
I totally understand your inclination to move away from social media in favor of an alternative means of communication. However, social media really is the most effective avenue for reaching more customers and establishing a customer base - at least in the early stages of your business. Here's why:
1. Wider reach
It goes without saying that you can reach more people on social media, making it the most effective marketing channel online to raise awareness about your brand. With online sales only set to continue growing in this day and age, more and more brands are turning to social media for most of their business operations. It is usually a fundamental starting point of any store's content strategy.
2. Trust
Social media is also a great trust indicator for many customers. A lot of customers/visitors think of stores as being like real people, and so they want to know more about the background of the brand to see if they can trust it, invest in it, and purchase from it. Social media provides a window into the personality and people behind the brand. This is called Social Validation and is part of our Buyer Trust 101 Guide.
3. Communication
Customers may want a more immediate form of communication with a store, which is why they prefer Facebook messenger and Twitter chat over emails. Being able to reach you via your social media means you're accessible and they're more likely to trust you.
So for the time being I'd actually be recommending that you extend your social media presence to try to promote your brand far and wide!

In fact, I would suggest that a little content (maybe a blog on your website that you can share around on social media, or some product videos) might be exactly what you need to not only show visitors your products but to also show that you are an authority in your industry.

Hi @nkpartysupply,
well you want more newsletter subscribers, but I can never reach your newsletter popup. Please see the screenshot:
Because of this "Germany location thingie", no matter where I click on the screen, not only the Germany location thing disappears....but also the newsletter signup popup. I never get to see the full popup and I can never use it to signup to your newsletter list. You should improve that!
Please implement a real live chat service that only shows a button if you're online and available to chat with. This will help you with a higher conversion rate and for party supply, you can actually provide advice as to what the visitor should buy for the specific party.
I'd also ask every of your (happy) customers to leave a review on Google Ratings or Trustpilot and implement the respective service on your website. Ratings verified by a third party are more trustworthy.
Hope that helps even a bit!
