Website structure - issues with collections and 'Sorry, there are no products in this collection'

Hello Shopify community,

I am looking for some advice about my site structure.  I am selling second hand children's clothes so every single item for sale in unique. 

I have a series of collections which are listed in the table below. Currently I am struggling to decipher if I have too many collections - because 'autumn/winter' is a collection, and 'cardigans' within that category is also a collection. I have had some difficulty with the error message 'sorry, there are no products in this collection'. In addition, drop down menus seem repetitive and excessively long. 

If anyone can help look at my site I would be most appreciative.
