I'm trying to garner feedback on my simple store. It has been getting traffic & sessions for the past 1 week but no sales at all. Your feedback would be most appreciated.

Your store looks pretty great. I love how you order everything on the page, the color matching is nice. You mentioned that you've got no sales at all, no worries. I have some suggestions that you can consider.


I see you want to collect emails from leads but this does not look good and captivating enough. There're a lot of social proof apps on the Shopify app store (FREE) that you can try which aim to solve the low conversion challenges by increasing add-to-cart and boosting trust for the eCommerce website with features (Sales Pop ups, Countdown Timers, and Coupon Code Wheel) that catches your audiences' attention and has a higher chance of converting them to customers.

Another way is that you can leverage affiliate marketing if you have a limited marketing budget. This marketing type has no upfront cost, you will pay only the affiliates to make sales for you.

If you're not familiar with this term, I would make it in short like this:

Affiliate marketing is a performance-based marketing strategy motivating your affiliates to promote your products/ service for commission exchange.

At the most basic, three parties involved are:

Adding Favicon will help customers recognize your brand easier. It also shows your professionalism.

3. Adding product reviews. 

Customers will spend their to read user reviews more than they read product descriptions.  So try to add some reviews of your products to your homepage. It will strongly help to increase customer's reliability to your products. You can use product review apps so support you to do it.


Regarding marketing strategy, you should spend first priority to find the methods which brings positive results with no risky and low cost. It much better for you at this time. 

I know one of most popular reasons why merchants got 0 sale in several months is about marketing strategy. Someone got trouble in store design, however, someone feel confused when choosing the right marketing strategy for their stores.


Tip 1: Increase Shopify sales with popup promotions

After creating upsell bundles and discounts, the next step is to start spreading the word. Popups are a great way to draw your customers’ attention towards these promotions and offers. 

Some people believe that popups can be pesky, driving customers away. This might be true for those who are using them incorrectly. Add a Favicon, which helps to find your store when customer had multiple tabs in their browser.

Improve store logo, as it gives Identity and separates from the competition.

Add Testimonials or reviews on the homepage to build trust with the visitors.

Include Blog page, Blog posting will allow you to show your followers a personal side of your business. In this way you can engage with Existing and New customers.

You can promote your products with word of mouth strategy. Boost your sales with the app from the shopify app store   which helps to increase your sales.

There is no terms and conditions checkbox at checkout. I suggest you to install an app from shopify app store which provides 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' before checkout .As it makes easy for the customer to read your terms and policies.

Hope you are doing well.

I understand how it can be frustrating to be doing everything right but still not getting your traffic converted to sales. You may find comfort in knowing that you're not the only one on that boat. Millions of Shopify store owners are facing the same problem. This is not because you are necessarily doing something wrong, but rather because Sales is an organic process, involving people getting to know you, visiting your brand, looking at your products, comparing them with others, and finally making the decision to purchase from you. So this takes some time, during which you have to hold on tight. But, you can't be just passively waiting for sales to grow, so I would recommend you look at these tips and see which ones you can use: You have great faith in your online shop, but why aren’t visitors converting?

Another Thing you could consider: Not all traffic is good traffic.

Traffic will only have any chance of converting to sales if they are being generated by the right consumer. If your product is for females under the age of 30, but your ads are being viewed by males over 50, that is a lot of traffic, but it will never convert to sales. So, before you spend on targeting, a good idea is to have a simple Google Trends search, that will tell you who is looking for the products you search, what is their age, gender and location. Then you can put forward some really targeted ads that are bound to generate clicks.

Here are some areas where you could consider working on

  • A good idea is to have your newsletter as a popup so that it shows up when the customer enters the home page. This will make it more visible and attract more people to your newsletter from where you can target more interested people.

  • Add a sticky header. The headings are important to navigate the site. If the headers keep disappearing, it makes it hard to find what the customer is looking for. That is why if you make your headers sticky, the user can see them even if they have scrolled down, which makes the site more user friendly.

    You can also consider making your headings a bit bigger or bolder, so that they catch the eye more easily.

  • People tend to buy more from people they can easily relate to. If you share your journey, your goals, and your aspirations with your customers, it will be easier for people to connect with you. If you can create an emotional connection with your visitors, people are sure to buy products from you.

  • It is a good idea to place a banner on the homepage that tells your customers exactly what they are looking for. You may add a separate banner for each of your product types

    Your banner looks very good and matches your theme and product. 

    It is a good idea to have multiple slides on your banner (each should stay for around 5seconds) for each product type and have the CTA buttons for each slide redirect the customer to a different product page.

  • You will be surprised how much you can benefit from a chatbot. It can collect your necessary customer data, help you analyze which stuffs are trending or in more demand, and overall solve your problems by answering common questions so you won't have to.

  • I see that your store doesn’t have a Favicon. Having a favicon on your website is crucial. It makes your site recognizable on browser tabs, but it too gives a professional look to your website.

  • Homepage 

I recommend put the Add to cart button below all products on the homepage and activate a Sticky cart on all pages so that customers can easily check out their cart. This tool can also reduce the abandonment rate and thereby increase your sales a lot.

  • Product page

To boost sales revenues, you can apply a cross- sell method in your store by adding product bundles with discounts. Product bundles with discounts is an effective tip to motivate customers to buy more products.
