hello everybody, I spent my last couple months designing a website for my brand Vittoria Cashmere. it's still not 100 percent ready, I still need to upload some products and work on the SEO aspect.

How's it looking so far? Final product won't be so different, probably.

 

I spent a lot of time and resources working on it, and I'd love to hear some opinions and possible suggestions. It's my first time building a website, so I'm certainly not an expert. I just have a natural interest in "tech".

hello, thanks for taking time to answer. i was going that way at first, showcasing pics like the one you pointed out. however im finfing myself replacing them with flat lays, only to leave model pics "inside". thats because i think it may look a bit untidy.

2. Include more product images

I highly recommend adding more product images to make it look more trustworthy and professional. It will increase the chances of customers click Add to cart. 

 

3 types of product images that should always be included for most products:

  • Images that show products “In Scale” 
  • Images that highlight a product’s features: Feature Callout images (highlight product materials that your users will find valuable)
  • 3-5 Images that show products from at least a few different angles

3. Optimize the footer section

The footer is often overlooked, but it's a valuable piece that can significantly enhance user experience and boost your website's effectiveness. Therefore, you can gradually improve your sales.

Some of the elements you can consider adding are:

  • Copyright notice: Clearly state the copyright owner and year.
  • Privacy policy link: Link to your detailed privacy policy.
  • Terms of service link: Link to your terms and conditions.
  • Contact information: Include your address, phone number, and email.
  • Social media icons: Link to your social media profiles.

4. Add a live chat widget

hello, thank you very much for your in depth answer. unfortunately i think i won't be able to implement the live chat feature, as we're only two people in this business and we sell in person too. i don't want to solely rely on automatic responses. maybe i could implement a whatsapp button? also noted on the favicon and footer section, ill work on both of them

2. Product Organization: To create a large, user-friendly store on Shopify, you may consider building a multi-level drop-down menu to categorize your products by categories and subcategories. This will help customers navigate your product range more easily, especially as your inventory grows.

 

3. Who We Are Page: On this page, it could be beneficial to add a header banner to make the page visually appealing and aligned with your brand identity. Additionally, I think making the Contact form smaller could improve the overall design of the page.

Hello there @lorypez for your first time building a website, it looks quite impressive I must say. The major areas I’d note down for improvement would be for there to be more products to display probably because the store looked a bit empty, a section for FAQs and the story behind the store to share my information and to allow customers to build more of a connection with the store.

hello, thank you very much for your kind words mate. sometimes i look at it and feel like i built the best website ever, then 2 minutes later im not so sure about that. haha, still, i completely rebuilt the about us section, i'll add translations later and adjust a couple of details as well.

i'm still working on the pics, i have a vast assortment of products at my warehouse so it takes time. basically selling in person in the morning, sorting out my products and going around factories during the afternoon and working on the website at night. pretty time consuming but i hope it'll be worth it. i'll work on the faqs section as well. thanks again.
