Feedback for your online store from the community
I'll keep it short in the body of this post so you can go in with the same amount of information as potential customers through advertisements.
Website: https://empiricalwater.com
Have a look through the whole website if you have time. Is it good enough to convert? What stands out as incongruent? Is it clear enough what the product is? Are there any questions that come up that you'd want answered before feeling secure in spending money on my product? Any objections that arise that I should be aware of? Anything you like in particular? All feedback is welcome.
Thank you
Hi Empiricalarby,
This is Amee from Gojiberry - Shopify Survey & Feedback App.
I love that you have so much experience & insights and a pretty robust blog to document your processes. I took a look at your store and have a few suggestions that will help increase conversion rate:
1. Banner images. I feel that the images I see and the words "Unleash the complete sensory potential of coffee & tea" don't match. It would be better to use one very high-quality image that resonates with the messaging. If you can't decide between coffee or tea, then you can use carousel so the images slide over.
2. Getting expert voices. It's great that you already have some testimonials to start! Why not partner up with baristas and get their real opinion on the taste? This can help with creating more credibility for the product with expert recommendations. Also more content for your blog!
3. Ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) Create a survey to ask for customer feedback! For example, you can ask where your converting customers are coming from. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.
Hope this helps!

The Ultimate 12 Best Practices to Growing Your Shopify Store
Hey @empiricalarby.
Thanks for reaching out.
I appreciate the context that you have shared with us as that is very helpful!
What do you think about including a slideshow section as the first section on the homepage? This can strengthen your brand and allow your visitors to learn more about the product and business as soon as they arrive. For example, you could potentially include examples of the product being used.
Add social media icons to the footer of the online store for brand consistency. You can provide your customers with security about making a purchase by showing them that the business is available across multiple social media platforms. You can add or update the social media icons for the footer section by navigating to your Theme Settings within the Theme Editor.
Add store policies to the homepage to provide transparency to your customers about their purchases or orders. Some visitors may arrive on the online store and look for a refund policy or shipping policy before making a purchase. By adding these to the footer of the store, you can easily provide further information about the store policies for your customers. We do have a great guide available here that can walk you through the steps of adding store policies to the footer of the store.
Let me know if you have any questions.

1. More conversion boosters and promotions
The key to a high-converting store is creating In order to urge visitors to make the purchasing decision, you can add more promotions along with conversion boosters like countdown timer or stock counter.
Here is an example of how you can integrate your promotion and countdown timer in the hero banner:
Here is an example of a stock counter:
2. Value propositions
The key for a high-converting store is to convince your Customers why your products are more beneficial and superior comparing to other competitors. You can achieve this by highlighting the most notable features of your products. Here is an example how you can present them:
3. Blog posts/Brand stories
To make your store more informative for the visitors, you can also include blog section or stories about your brand. Even some tips & tricks about coffee are good enough.
Example:
4. Guarantees
It is good to have transparent business policies presented to your visitors. The only recommendation is to scale down the size of the images to match with the overall design of your page.
5. FAQ
Customers tend to have a lot of questions, most of them can be answered by a simple FAQ (frequently asked questions) section. A well-written set of FAQ can build trust, confidence and make your customers feel more secured to make the purchasing decision. Banner is one of the best places to add a promotion picture, please take advantage of it. Besides, you can divide your banner to 2 pictures: 1 for Coffee and 1 for Tea, it will be better for sure.
Thanks for all the advice, I will put it to good use. What is a promotion picture?
A Few Things I Noticed:
-Product Page Looks Pretty Good
-If you are only selling the one product, you should change the "Shop" link to go directly to the product page as its one click closer to checkout VS the current setup
-Add a "Home" button to the navigation menu, some customers do not know that they can click the logo to go back
-If this were my brand, I would make a short 5-20 second video, showing the product being used by happy customers and replace the image banner with that (autoplayed on mute)
-Add a logo or change logo font, it is very similar if not the same as the heading font used elsewhere. By changing it, it will stand out more.
-Make slideshow at the bottom of the page autoplay slides (every 3-5 seconds)
-Consider making the menu links bold, or larger so they are more easily noticed by visitors
-Continue building upon the existing design, some animations, color, video in the right amounts could help improve the store
I hope that helps you!
