Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi there,
it had taken me around 4 months to setup the store and I am now around two month online. I had last week my first two sales. I got the sales just due to google ads. I have per day around 70 to 150 visitors but it doesnt end up in any sales. So still wondering what potential customers are afraid of.
Honestly I did a lot of research on other stores. Some of them look really like sh*t (sorry for the wording but there are even designs out there they look like from the 2000's) and they still exists.. means they must sell something.. but why?!
I tried to do improvement on the page speed, but its quite difficult to increase the score. 80% of my visitors bisit by mobile.
Lets say you would be interested in an adult product. what would be your reason not to by in my store? What is not clear for you, what bothers you?
Would be great to get some feedback.
and here the page: playfulheaven.com
Thank you
Hi @DaveSG84 ,
This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App.
From my UI/UX experiences, I think your store's layout is pretty and well-ordered, and all the essential information is displayed. I've checked your store speed by the tool Google PageSpeed Insight and have some suggestions to improve it.
Here is your current score for your Homepage in mobile and desktop:
The tool indicates the problems affecting the Speed index and some suggestions to improve your page speed:
1. The biggest opportunity to improve your speed is using properly size images. You can check more from the tool which images you should check and improve it. I found an Shopify guide here for you: https://www.shopify.com/blog/7412852-10-must-know-image-optimization-tips
2. Besides, other dramatical solutions are reducing the initial server response time and the impact of third-party code.
3. On the desktop, you should check your theme.liquid file and remove unused JavaScript. Resources are blocking the first impression of the page. Consider delivering important JS / Inline Styles (CSS) and deferring non-critical JS/styles.
Hope my suggestions can help. Please let me know if you want further assistance.

Hi Kate, thanks a lot with the detailed feedback. As mentioned at my post on top, I also checked here and there pagespeed but I could just marginal optimize it. I converted now the main images and logo to webp format. Maybe also some improvement.
I have problems with the 3rd item you mentioned. I have checked this before but I am afraid to touch this part, coz i dont want to mess up my google integration (search console/merchent/ads/tag manager). some of those apps required an integration with those JS if i remember right. So i do not really know which one to delete. I guess I need to address this question in a seperate post..
Hi @DaveSG84 , you're welcome.
Yes, I think you should have a new question which is related to a technical problem. I wish I have more knowledge about Google integration to give you more suggestions.
I think you can post it to the topic "Shopify Discussion" or "Technical Q&A" on the Shopify Community.
I'm so glad that my answer can help a little 😊
