Feedback for your online store from the community
Whenever I create a new page, and click on it, I am redirected to the same page, in this case the Exchange Policies. So I don't know how to solve this problem and it's being quite urgent
Do these steps
Check the page's URL and handle
Review your theme's navigation settings
Hello @Ergonomically,
Greetings! I am Gina from the flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
If you're experiencing an issue where clicking on a newly created page redirects you to a different page, it could be related to your theme's settings or a possible misconfiguration. Below are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
1. Clear your browser cache
Sometimes, cached data can interfere with page redirection. Clearing your browser cache can help ensure you're seeing the most up-to-date version of your site. Try accessing the page again after clearing your cache.
2. Verify your page settings
Double-check the settings for the problematic page. Go to your Shopify admin, navigate to "Online Store" > "Pages," and click on the page in question. Make sure that the page URL, handle, and redirects are correctly set. Ensure that the "Online Store availability" option is set to "Visible" as well.
3. Check your theme settings
Some themes have specific settings that control page redirects or navigation. Access your theme editor by going to "Online Store" > "Themes" > "Customize." Look for any settings related to page redirects or navigation that might be causing the issue. Check if there are any custom templates or sections associated with the page that could affect its behavior.
4. Disable any conflicting apps or scripts
Temporarily disable any recently installed apps or scripts that could potentially interfere with page navigation. This can help identify if a third-party integration is causing the redirection problem.
5. Test with a different theme
If possible, switch to a different theme temporarily and see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to your current theme.
If the issue persists after trying the above steps, reach out to Shopify's support team directly. Provide them with detailed information about the problem, steps you've taken, and any error messages you're encountering. They will have access to your account and can investigate the issue further.
Remember, it's always a good idea to back up your theme before making any changes or modifications, especially if you're planning to switch themes or make significant adjustments.
Hope this helps
