Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi everyone,
I have been running a fashion brand e-commerce store but I still have no conversions after weeks of running ads. I have a lot of visitors but almost zero add to carts and zero purchases. The store link is www.morlowen.com, if anybody can check it out and tell me what they think and if it has a very clear issue I might be overlooking.
Cheers in advance.
Hey, @morlowen
Great question. There are a variety of possibilities which could result in paid traffic not resulting in sales.
- The quality of the traffic. Are they your ideal customer/interested in what you have to offer?
- The speed of your site. Does the website load appropriately, limiting large files such as uncompressed images or large videos.
- Are there not too many popups/other distractions that turn customers away
- Is it easy for a customer to go from homepage to finding exactly what they need and reaching checkout?
- Are your prices competitive?
- Shipping costs. Are your shipping costs and times high/long?
I have two guides I would recommend:

Hi @morlowen,
I've taken a look at your store and I can see that you've put in a lot of effort to make it appealing. However, I noticed a critical area that could be affecting your conversion rates.
Shipping information is a vital aspect that customers consider before making a purchase. I found that your website currently lacks specific shipping details. Customers often look for clear information on shipping times and costs, and not finding this information readily available might deter them from completing a purchase. I strongly recommend adding a dedicated shipping details page to your website, which should include comprehensive information about shipping policies, costs, and estimated delivery times.
Also, I noticed that the FAQ section on your product pages refers to a shipping page, but unfortunately, there is no link to it. This inconsistency could be confusing for customers and might contribute to the lack of conversions. Ensuring that all links and references on your site lead to the correct information is crucial for maintaining customer trust and encouraging purchases.
By addressing these issues and providing clear, accessible shipping information, you should see an improvement in customer engagement and conversions.
Hi @morlowen This is Garcia from PageFly - the Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.
I'm genuinely impressed, especially knowing you're just starting out. Your site has a stylish flair while remaining clean and clear. I understand that experiencing slow traffic can be frustrating. From my CRO expertise, I’d love to give you my suggestions to improve your conversion rates:
1. Add the About Us section on the header
You should add the About Us section on the header. As one navigation link to your About Us page.
Before that, you need to create an About Us page. This is a dedicated section of your website that provides background information about your business or organization. An About page is not a place to push a hard sell or boast about your business. It should help visitors to understand who you are, what you do, and what makes your company unique.
This page often includes main information about:
2. Add a CTA button on your hero banner
This is one of the best ways that help attract customers' attention as well as increase the time viewers spend on your page. This is a small change but has a big impact you should use this tip for your page. You can add the link to the promotion product list or your promotion campaign to this CTA button. This will lead customers to come to your promotion page after clicking on the CTA button.
3. Add a hover effect for the product image
The hover effect can be known that you will have 2 images for 1 product. When the viewer moves on to the product image it automatically changes to the other image. With clothes products, you should make a hover effect following this note:
4. Add a Testimonial section to improve your trustworthiness
You should have a testimonial section on your website because of the fact that customers almost check the reviews first before deciding to buy the product. They want to check the actual experiences of previous buyers with the product. Will your products be the same as the image on your page? When customers talk about their experience using your product, it builds trust in and reputation for your brand.
5. Prepare for holiday promotion campaign
Chrismast and New year is coming soon. It time to prepare for holiday promotion campaign.
You should modify your page overlook up to date with special holiday that boost customer mood to get more product for their holiday.
You should have some discount or have set/combo for special holiday promotion. That can help you get more attractive from viewer. Increase their demand order more to get this special deal.
I hope you find these suggestions helpful in optimizing your website's conversion rate. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. I wish you the best of luck with your online venture.
Cheers,
Garcia
